Zollhaus is a powerful piece of Lower Silesian history, enshrined in its original red brick. Once guarding the borders of the Prussian state, today, restored with craftsmanship, it oversees your regeneration. The host, a designer and Academy of Fine Arts graduate, passionately documents the history of local monuments – instead of taking shortcuts, she paid tribute to the old walls, creating a space full of respect for heritage. A beauty-conscious eye will immediately appreciate this original craftsmanship and the absence of random objects.

We are 40 minutes from Wrocław. A hundred meters from the doorstep, the roar of the Mietkowski Reservoir, which at dusk sounds deceptively like the Baltic Sea. Through the vast glass walls, you can see the shape of Ślęża, a former place of worship still radiating positive energy. In the morning, you go barefoot to the garden to pick edible flowers for breakfast, then grab your electric bikes and ride in the footsteps of the aristocratic von Oppersdorff and von Brandenburg families to the palace in Domanice.

Stop by the village at the end of the road, listen to the stories hidden in the bricks, and experience the adventure on your own terms.

Zollhaus stands guard right next to a country road. Let us reassure you right away – through traffic is nonexistent here, and the local asphalt will in no way interfere with your plans for deep relaxation. It's quiet, provincial, and thoroughly intimate, as befits a village at the very end of a road.

This house is designed to comfortably accommodate five people. On the ground floor, life revolves around a large table in the living room. A little further on, a comfortable sofa bed is perfect for falling asleep without any fuss by the crackling fire in the fireplace. Within easy reach, you'll find a wardrobe and a bookcase densely packed with books about Lower Silesia, guidebooks, and old maps. These will help you read the region like an open book, something the hostess, who is passionate about local history, will be happy to advise you on. A well-thought-out kitchenette and bathroom with shower complete the ground floor.

For a proper night's sleep, head upstairs. The master bedroom awaits, featuring a double bed and a single bed. You'll unpack on a minimalist clothes rack, and if reality brutally demands your attention, there's a desk in the corner. If you need to open your laptop for a moment, you'll at least do so in aesthetically pleasing surroundings, as the skillful hand of a designer with a degree in Fine Arts is evident in every detail of the interior.

We give you full permission for leisurely culinary experiments. At Zollhaus, you reign supreme in your own, carefully designed kitchen, and days begin with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee from the espresso machine (though we also kindly keep instant coffee in the cupboard). The real magic, however, happens in the teapot. Domanice is renowned as a village of lilacs. During the season, we brew a delightful elderflower tea here, to which we add sprigs of lavender straight from the garden.

Getting supplies is no problem at all. For farm eggs, vegetables, and a jar of honey, you simply visit your friendly neighbors. Just five kilometers away is the famous Kozłonoga Farm. You can stock your baskets with organic fruit and absolutely delicious goat's milk products. For everyday, mundane errands, simply pop to the local shop in the village itself.

If standing by the pots and pans doesn't suit your idea of regeneration, we have a backup plan. Just cross the Mietkowski Reservoir to the other side and you'll find a hearty meal at Blu Fish. On weekends, three kilometers from Domanice, the Zacisze restaurant serves traditional and tried-and-true flavors.

However, we recommend taking your plates and glasses to our terrace. Food tastes best here, overlooking the shimmering water.

We're in the heart of the Bystrzyca Valley Landscape Park, just 150 meters from the Mietkowski Reservoir. No need to carry heavy equipment. Kayaks, windsurfing boards, and life jackets await you on site. Just throw them into the water and enjoy the breeze.

Prefer firm ground? The bike stop is 50 meters from our door. Grab our electric bikes and get going. We'll be happy to organize a personalized guided tour for you; just tell us how far you're ready for that day. You can also grab your free Nordic walking poles and hit the trails on your own or under the guidance of our hostess, a qualified instructor. After all, the walking paths around the water are just as tempting as climbing the mighty Ślęża massif nearby.

For those seeking a slower pace, we have binoculars for spotting rare water birds and a home library. Maps and guides filled with interesting facts will lead you to the historical sites of Domanice and the surrounding villages. In the evenings, a delightful dilemma awaits you. You can soak in the steaming hot tub in our garden, or head out for a tasting of local vintages. There are eight excellent wineries in the vicinity, and a glass of wine al fresco (preferably straight from the water) is a truly delightful ending to any active day.

We only accept guests aged 12 and over. Forget about plastic and playgrounds. Instead of smartphones, we give teenagers a water adventure: kayaks and windsurfing boards. Electric bikes and professional binoculars for birdwatching are also available.

Instead of the hustle and bustle of office life, we experience pure deep concentration here. Fast Wi-Fi, soothing air conditioning, and a desk in a remarkably aesthetic setting await. The original design of the former customs house and the historic brickwork brilliantly enhance the creativity of freelancers.
