At a glance
Our Green Haven is located in Izbiska, Żuławy. It chats with passersby from the twelve corners of the house, which the locals call "the round one with the tower." It calmly awaits the day when, instead of arriving by car, someone will kayak to our campsite. For several years, we have been sharing the story of how this place came to be with everyone curious about our fate. We prove that renovations can tell a story, and Żuławy may be flat on the map, but certainly not in character.
We invite you to a Żuławy village close to what it once was. Here, sourdough bread is grown, oil is pressed from home-grown seeds, and next to the vegetable garden stand drying racks for flowers, stunning in their colors in summer. The local spiders have nothing to do with arachnophobia, but everything to do with the magic of old houses. In the garden of our habitat, we have built a house – tiny, but with an exceptional concentration of coziness per square meter. It's best for watching the river flow past the window, reading books in the nook, and connecting with each other. We'd love to share our everyday life in Żuławy with you. We'll show you how to make folk spiders, treat you to homemade preserves, and tell you the story of the house around which our entire world revolves. And if you're wondering what happens next – we don't know. We're writing this story right before your eyes.

She is an English teacher from Lesser Poland. He is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts and a native of Gdańsk.
For four years, we have lived together in the beautiful Żuławy region, specifically in the village of Izbiska, located just 40 km from Gdańsk. While we have a wonderful time in our countryside, it's a very intense and demanding time for us, as we are trying to renovate a wooden house with a post-and-beam structure, designed and built by Krzysiek's family. The house is unique because it's called "round," but is actually dodecagonal, with a tower at its center. It's also worth mentioning that due to its location on the banks of the Szkarpawa River, our house is essentially a portico, and in the future, a pier will undoubtedly be built, making it possible not only to drive to us but also to sail to us.
Living in the countryside, so close to nature, has become our passion and inspiration. It's here that we developed our vegetable garden, thanks to which we began making homemade preserves and pressing oils from organic seeds. Folk art has become so close to our hearts that we've decided to offer workshops on making folk spiders, and dried flowers from the garden have allowed us to offer wreath-making workshops. Who knows what else awaits around the corner?
A project as large and demanding as our house will take us a good few more years to complete, so in our garden, right on the riverbank, we've built a fairytale wooden house on wheels, to which we cordially invite you. We want it to be a place of deep relaxation and tranquility, with the opportunity to gaze at the stars straight from a hot tub and experience life at its slow pace. We also invite you to join us for breakfast in our home – we don't eat meat ourselves, so we offer only vegetarian (or vegan) meals, made with natural, local ingredients. We bake our own sourdough bread, and our neighbors provide us with delicious eggs from happy hens and wonderful cow's milk cheeses.
We cordially invite you to our world – full of delight in the beauty of nature!
