You're in Borowe – at the fascinating crossroads where the Mrągowo Lake District ends, and the famous Krutynia River kayaking trail is just a few minutes away. Usually, trips to such stunning areas with a dozen or so people end in logistical drama: someone spends their vacation at the sink, while the rest fume about the schedule for the tiny sauna in another, simply oversized cottage.
Fortunately, someone has done their homework here. Lake House Borowe is 271 m² of pure functionality, tested on a living organism by a group of friends of the owners themselves. A morning start here is reduced to exactly 50 steps from the terrace straight to the private beach. It's the perfect distance to run down to the lake in your underwear before your coffee gets cold.
Then you sit down together at the giant ash table, and... no one bothers you about washing up. The sight of two dishwashers, large refrigerators, and an efficient ice maker that saves evening drinks is a real relief. The true luxury, however, lies in the spa area. No more sign-ups! For many years, we've been traveling with friends to homes for larger groups and have observed the pros and cons of such locations. At some point, the idea arose to leverage our experience and build a home ideal for groups of 8-13 people. We set ourselves five key criteria for our investment:
1. We dreamed of our own shoreline with a gentle slope into a clear lake.
2. We wanted to provide attractions that would keep us entertained during the fickle Polish weather and take advantage of winter's potential.
3. Based on our experience in other locations, we wanted to create spaces for the entire group and generously equip the home with essential appliances.
4. We wanted easy access to the plot from our home (Warsaw).
5. Proximity to a larger city for shopping and dining was important to us.
After many months of searching, we found the perfect plot that met all these criteria:
1. The water is only 50 steps from the terrace. The lake is clean, and we have our own sandy beach with a gentle entrance and a large pier for fishing enthusiasts and more.
2. We've created a spa area with a salt wall, a large jacuzzi for 7 people, and a sauna for 12 people. All with a beautiful view of the lake. Other attractions include a wood-burning fireplace, darts, SUPs, a boat, and winter swimming.
3. We have a massive ash table in the dining room, a large sofa with a 65-inch TV in the living room, a spacious sauna in the spa, and two loft-style tables on the terrace. All these spaces will accommodate the entire group. Additionally, the house has two dishwashers, two very large refrigerators, a powerful ice maker, and a coffee machine.
4. We can reach the plot from Warsaw in 2.5 hours.
5. Mrągowo is only 15 minutes away.
