At a glance
There's no indication of any significant civilization here, as our wilderness is surrounded by forest on all sides. There is a road, but no one drives along it. There are shops somewhere, but we don't need to go to them. Apparently, there are neighbors, but they're nowhere to be seen. Just trees, ponds, and a space that only we—and now you—know exists.
All this in a spot on the map of Poland that few have heard of: the Górzno-Lidzbark Landscape Park. Our land lies right at its edge. There are lakes hidden in the forest, picturesque reserves, and Natura 2000 sites. Brynica River rustles among the trees. And very close, a little to the north, the meandering Wel River meanders, along which you can embark on one of the most exciting rafting trips in Masuria. At the height of Piekiełek, the water rushes like a mountain stream. The park also boasts over 250 km of cycling and hiking trails. And you know what's interesting? Even though we're already in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, just take a few steps and you'll be in Masuria. It's like vacationing in two voivodeships at once. Enjoy the beauty of both.

We are not on-site, but you can always contact us
We are the parents of Maciek, a young adult, a student at one of the oldest European universities - a passionate sailor, a lover of words and good literature, not only in Polish, and a teenage Marcelina, who loves making new friends and always asks if her peers will be there. We like animals and we are very happy when you come with your own dogs, our cat Milusia is on site but she rather avoids dogs. At the end of winter 2023, an abandoned puppy, resembling a pitch-black Labrador Lucky, our mascot dog, joined us. Always happy to welcome new guests, especially those with dogs.
In our free time, we like to explore the world rather off the beaten track, we dive, sail, fly in a balloon.
A dozen or so years ago, we came across a run-down farm in a valley among meadows and fields. And that's when the greatest adventure began.
Koneser's houses were not an idea that was born in our heads right away. Flying paragliders Piotr discovered an area previously unknown to him, and probably forgotten by everyone - the incredibly charming Welski Landscape Park - a mountainous moraine landscape, with open space within a radius of several dozen kilometres - our Tuscany.
We bought this old farm and decided to create a paradise on earth, but paradise is a pipe dream; together with interesting people whom we met during the renovation, we created wonderful spaces, furnished them with antiques, added some old trinkets, books, although not necessarily only old ones, took care of the surroundings, the garden and we failed, because we were hit by mundane matters such as financial bottom - what can we do, we can't afford the maintenance, so let's rent it out as a holiday property.
2008 was the year of the first guests, because we were involved in other projects, our friend took over the management, while her husband, a musician and opera singer, having received a pre-war piano from us, created the Music Salon.
For 10 years we appeared only as guests and investors. Business in friendship is practically impossible and after 10 years we had to part ways - that's life.
Since 2018, we have been managing our properties ourselves.
Koneser's Houses is a project where luxury is not an air-conditioned room with a TV, but luxury is silence, peace, the vastness of the surrounding nature with extremely fresh air, which we try not to disturb, this communion with history through authentically old furniture and objects.
Good, home-cooked cuisine, rather traditional with rare external influences - after all, cabbage rolls come from Egypt - right?! Vegans also appreciate our dishes.
We are happy when our guests like our place, it is a spiritual reward for us and a great support for further action, and it is not easy.
We like to make new acquaintances and friendships, and we have made several lasting ones from Koneser's Houses.
We receive guests practically all year round, but they like us mainly in spring, summer and early autumn.
We also gladly invite you to thematic meetings, the cyclical ones: Traveler meetings, combined with a shanty concert. Vocal workshops with Ela Zapendowska, String workshops, Summer Music Salon with an interesting concert, Christmas, New Year's Eve, Valentine's Day, also often with a concert, Easter. You can also find all this information on our social media.
