The previous owners had developed our 2-hectare plot with so many plants that we're seriously considering establishing an arboretum. My husband, my 2-year-old daughter, and my mother, Gabi, moved to the farm on the Mrożynka River. We were enchanted by the lush vegetation, the murmur of the water below, and the views of the Jizera Foothills. Along with all the benefits of the house and garden, we also acquired a charming, modest cottage behind a wooden fence, barely visible in June through the peonies and lavender. We renovated it and added a few idyllic interior touches. We thought it would appeal to those dreaming of a few peaceful days at the end of the world, also colloquially known as the village of Mlądz. During the season, we'll share the harvest from our patch with you, and you can always ask about eggs from our hens. On the last Sunday of the month, my mother organizes herbal walks, which the children also love. If you'd like to bring a little one, or even two, there's room for them in the upstairs bedroom – provided you enjoy being close together. A river awaits right next door, a walk along which takes less than a minute, a beautiful trail begins right outside the house, and after returning from your excursions, you can relax in the sauna. We invite you to the end of the world, where both plants and people thrive.

A cozy wooden cottage awaits you on our property, overlooking the Jizera Foothills. On the ground floor, there's an open-plan kitchen and living room, and a bathroom with a bathtub. On the first floor, there's a bedroom with a desk by the window overlooking the mountains.

Aside from our house, which you can see in the background of the photos, we have no immediate neighbors, and our village is exceptionally peaceful and sparsely populated.

Friendly chickens run around the yard, so your stay is enhanced by the sounds of rooster crowing, birdsong, and the murmur of the river, which is literally a stone's throw away.

The cottage features a fully equipped kitchen, a table with chairs, and a gas grill on the terrace.

Depending on the season and our resources, you can ask us about eggs, salads, or even tomatoes fresh from the vine.

We'll tell you where to get the best local bread, milk, and cheeses, the best markets, and nearby restaurants or places to grab a really good coffee and cake—we can satisfy even those cravings. :)

Boredom in the countryside is wonderful. In our house, everyone secretly dreams of a cottage vacation, consisting of lying on the terrace with a cup of freshly brewed herbs and gazing into the distance.

If you have other plans, you'll certainly have plenty of activities to do.

On the last Sunday of the month, my mother, a herbalist who lives with us, leads herbal walks around the neighborhood, and the kids love them too. :)

Our friends from the Mobile Ceramic Point (you can read about them here on Slowhop) are happy to come and organize unique workshops for you at the cottage or in the garden.

In the immediate vicinity:
– The Mrożynka River flows right next to our property, and there's also a spot where you can easily take a dip; you can descend to it via comfortable stone steps.
– You can take our favorite walk "to Lipa"; a beautiful dirt road up the hill starts right behind our property.
– You can follow the trail to Jelenie Skały or to St. Wolfgang's Spring straight from the cottage.

A little further afield:
– It's worth visiting the market square and park in Cieplice. One of our favorite destinations is the Cieplice market, which takes place every Sunday. You'll find unique antiques, furniture, and even vegetables there.
– Castles in Lower Silesia are springing up like mushrooms after a rainstorm. We're right between two of the most iconic ones: Czocha Castle and Chojnik Castle, which are about 30 minutes away by car. Additionally, in our opinion, one of the most beautiful gems to visit is the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Wolfgang. Maternus in Lubomierz,
– a visit to the region's most popular spa town – Świeradów Zdrój,
– if you want to take advantage of our location near the border, you can easily reach Frydland or Liberec in the Czech Republic, or Görlitz in Germany.

There are endless examples of activities in our area; we'll be happy to suggest various destinations once you're there. :)

The kids unanimously rank the river as their top attraction, offering a multitude of options: swimming, treasure hunting, and throwing pebbles. The nearest water slide is about a minute's walk from the cottage. ;)
You can join in feeding the chickens, explore the garden, admire the exceptionally starry sky, and there are so many hiking and biking opportunities. We'll also suggest some ideas for rainy days.

We don't have Wi-Fi in the cottage, but the reception is good, and you can easily connect to the internet via phone. Each floor has a work area. Depending on whether you prefer to lounge on the couch, sit at a desk with a mountain view, or on the terrace with the same, somewhat distracting view.
