In Biała Dolina, instead of the bustle of the pedestrian zone in Szklarska Poręba, you can more often hear the wind in the spruce trees. It's here, on the edge of the forest, that our comfortable and minimalist homes stand, with views of the Karkonosze peaks. From the panoramic windows, you can see Wysoki Kamień, and in good weather, Szrenica, too. Just a few steps are enough to find yourself on a forest path that leads further into the mountains – without the crowds, but with silence in your ears, peace in your mind, and the scent of spruce resin.

In winter, this part of town has a special superpower: from Biała Dolina, you can set off on cross-country skis straight towards Jakuszyce. This is where one of Poland's best cross-country skiing areas begins, with trails winding through the snow-covered forests of the Jizera Mountains. The restored Szklarska Poręba Górna station, winner of the international TopRail Tourist-Friendly Station Award for the world's friendliest small tourist station, also lies close by. From here, the highest railway line in Poland departs, taking you through the mountains to Harrachov in the Czech Republic, admiring the panoramic views of the Jizera Mountains along the way. Located at an altitude of 756 meters above sea level, in a picturesque part of Szklarska Poręba, Osada Biała Dolina comprises four modern houses with minimalist architecture inspired by the mountain landscape. Wood, glass, and stone create a harmonious whole, blending seamlessly with the surrounding forest and mountains. Each house combines comfort, privacy, and elegance – spacious interiors, ample glazing, warm light, a private sauna, and views of nature. They were designed for those who value quality, peace, and space – for lovers of slow living, conscious relaxation, and simplicity at its finest.

On the ground floor of each house, you'll find a spacious living room with a kitchenette and a toilet with laundry facilities and access to an outdoor terrace. On the first floor, you'll find two bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with a private sauna for your exclusive use.

Each house has a private kitchen with kitchenware and accessories for preparing meals. Breakfast baskets with local produce can be ordered and delivered to your door.

There's no chance of boredom in Szklarska—unless that's exactly what you're craving. The Biała Dolina settlement is situated in a place that invites you to hit the road—even just for a short walk. Forest paths begin just a few steps from the houses, allowing you to hike towards Wysoki Kamień or simply get lost in the silence of the Karkonosze forest.

In winter, it's close to ski trails, and in summer, hiking and biking trails. And if one day you decide to do nothing—that's fine too. Just open the window, gaze at the mountains (sometimes even Szrenica) and experience what true idleness with a view looks like.

In winter, the area transforms into a white wonderland for those who enjoy gliding through the forest on cross-country skis. Right next to the settlement runs a trail leading towards Jakuszyce—a place where the snow usually holds for a long time, and ski trails stretch for kilometers through the Jizera Mountains.

The restored Szklarska Poręba Górna train station is also nearby – small but full of character. This is where the highest railway line in Poland departs, taking travelers at a leisurely pace to Harrachov in the Czech Republic. Along the way, there are views of the Jizera Mountains, making the journey feel more like a day trip than a regular commute.

And if you're craving a bit of city life, a five-minute drive will take you to the center of Szklarska Poręba. There's a mountain promenade, coffee-scented cafes, and restaurants where food tastes even better after a long day in the mountains.

If you're planning a longer stay, it's also worth planning a trip to the Valley of Palaces, Castles, and Gardens in the Jelenia Góra Valley. Within a few dozen minutes' drive, you'll find fairytale castles and palaces surrounded by beautiful gardens – the perfect place for a family or romantic day filled with history and strolls.

In the immediate vicinity, you can:
– go on hiking or cycling trails, for example to Wysoki Kamień, Zbójeckie Skały, or the Kamieńczyk Waterfall,
– jump on your cross-country skis in winter and head towards Jakuszyce,
– take a ride on the cross-border railway to Harrachov in the Czech Republic,
– climb the viewpoint on Wysoki Kamień (1,058 m above sea level),
– relax in the wellness areas and thermal baths nearby,
– end the day with coffee or dinner in one of the atmospheric cafés in the center.

Although our Biała Dolina Village was created with nature in mind, children will certainly not be bored here. The area offers numerous attractions that combine fun, activity, and exploration of the Karkonosze Mountains.

A few minutes' drive from our village is Dinopark – a dinosaur park nestled in the forest, with life-size models, playgrounds, and attractions for the whole family.

Little exercise enthusiasts will love the Trollandia Rope Park, which offers routes of varying difficulty, including those for the youngest children.

In the center of Szklarska Poręba, the Esplanada Family Amusement Park is worth a visit, featuring an Alpine Coaster, mini golf, inflatables, and many attractions for the whole family.

If the weather encourages exploration, we recommend a visit to Leśna Huta (Leśna Glassworks), where children can see how glass is made and participate in workshops and demonstrations. In nearby Piechowice, there's also the Julia Glassworks, offering tours and family workshops.

Nature lovers can enjoy easy family walks to the Kamieńczyk Waterfall, the Szklarka Waterfall, the Golden View, or the Chybotek Mountains – places that delight both children and adults.

On rainy days, it's worth visiting the Toy Museum, the Mineralogical Museum, the Building Blocks Exhibition, or the Zwierzaczkowo Mini Zoo – each of these places guarantees great fun regardless of the weather.

A short drive from our settlement is the Alpaka attraction in the Karkonosze Mountains – where you can spend time on relaxing walks with alpacas, feed them, and purchase local souvenirs and woolen products.
