Composer Ludomir Różycki once sought inspiration here, and today Anna and Sławek have created a haven for those who want to see if their soul truly stops chasing the rabbit when they smell real spruce wood. They built this log house with their own hands, carved the furniture themselves, and prove that the best cure for everything is a forest view and a lack of rush.
They chose the location consciously as avid cyclists – here, at an altitude of 500–600 meters above sea level, life moves to the rhythm of the crank and the breath of the Karkonosze National Park, not to the rhythm of the tourist bustle.

My story is quite typical of Slowhop. From corporate to nature. At some point, I felt I wanted to do something more in tune with myself, for myself and others, with concern for health, peace, and true relaxation. Being close to nature and creating a place you want to return to brings me joy.
"What Your Soul Desires" isn't just a name—it's our motto. It arose from the need to live slower, more mindfully, and closer to yourself. And it stuck. We're constantly refining this place, because our soul yearns for more. It's a bit like chasing a rabbit—but in a good, creative way.
My husband, Sławek, helps me run the Chata. He still works in the corporate world and finds fulfillment there, and caring for the house, its development, and attention to detail have become his passion and hobby. Together, we ensure it feels authentic and unhurried.
We share a love of mountain bikes. Singletrack, bike trails, and leisurely mountain hiking are our passions. It was thanks to bicycles that we found this place and decided to build our homes here.
The cottage wasn't created as a typical rental. We built it with ourselves in mind, fulfilling our dream of a wooden house in the mountains. We designed the interior ourselves, and made some of the furniture ourselves. We created this place the way we would like to be welcomed and how we enjoy spending our time.
We love being here – whenever we can, we come to recharge our batteries, enjoy cycling, or simply slow down and relax. Today, we share this dream and our soul's desires with others.
