At a glance
Imagine visitors from the Netherlands who, centuries ago, looked upon the wild, marshy undergrowth of the Nowotomyska Plain and, instead of fleeing in panic, declared, "We'll build a house here!"
These hardy settlers were brilliant at reading water. They raised artificial hills (terps) and tamed the marshes with their own hands.
Our story begins similarly. We once lived in the city, until finally... the countryside simply happened upon us. We saw a ruined Dutch cottage, and instead of pragmatically ordering a bulldozer, we sank elbow-deep in natural materials for five long years. With the tenacity of our former farmers, we resuscitated every pine log ourselves. Except that our clay, lime, and craftsmanship were no longer used for a heroic struggle for survival, but for building a zone of absolute solace.
Thus, the Boruja Studio was born. Today, no one here is battling the elements anymore, but we effectively cut ourselves off from overstimulation. We guarantee peace, a thought-soothing microclimate, and a morning ritual centered around the intoxicating aroma of bread baked in a real oven.
Want to experience the scent of preserved history and reset your mind where being here and now truly matters? Leave a message in the city and come visit us in the Greater Poland countryside!

We are on-site, we give our guests space and intimacy, but we're always ready to help
Hi! This is Agnieszka,
I used to live in the city, and then... the countryside happened. My husband and I fell in love with a neglected Dutch cottage from 1830 and spent over five years bringing it back to life with our own hands, using natural materials and traditional methods. In 2024, we opened the Studio as a space for meetings and creativity, and from 2025, we'll be inviting guests for overnight stays.
The Boruja Studio is more than just a place to stay—it's a place for a true reset, connection with nature, and peace. Every day, I create, teach, and support women in handicrafts: from workshops to multi-day Women's Camps. Guests can try their hand at making natural candles, soaps, and cosmetics in a peaceful, inspiring atmosphere.
I organize many events here, from local folk dances for 300 people to super-intimate women's gatherings. I provide space for NGOs and also host corporate clients.
But I'm still myself—in a dress and wellies. If you'd like, I'll chat and tell you what happened. If you don't, I'll disappear from your sight and retreat to the garden or the Studio.
Our studio and its story have been featured in numerous media outlets, including Dzień Dobry TVN, Canal+, Forbes, and Weranda Country, confirming the authenticity and unique character of the place. Guests appreciate our tranquility, authentic atmosphere, space for reflection, and a slower pace of daily life—and this is what lingers in their hearts long after their departure.
