Zagórze Śląskie can become your gateway to some of the most mysterious mountains in Poland. Just 10 km separates you from the Owl Mountains Landscape Park, uncrowded, well-marked, and filled with a unique atmosphere. It was in this area that the mysterious Project Riese was discovered after the war: a gigantic underground complex built by the Germans, for whose purposes it remains unknown. This isn't the only point of interest for history buffs: Grodno Castle, with a history dating back to the 13th century, towering over our town, also awaits discovery. However, if you prefer nature over monuments (though admiring them in a natural setting won't hurt at all), you can now prepare comfortable hiking shoes and bike shorts. Our area boasts not only many picturesque hiking trails but also the Rowerowa 500 route, a section of which you can easily cover. If you don't want to bring your bikes, you can rent them nearby. However, bring each other, your pet, and plenty of positive energy to explore the richness of our region.
