"Happy is he who splashes in Pluski," goes an old Warmia proverb. Okay, maybe we just made it up, but it's not far from the truth. The village with red roofs, stretched between forest and lake, stole our hearts many years ago. Perhaps it was the exceptionally clear waters of Lake Pluszne Wielkie, one of the largest and clearest in Warmia. Perhaps it was the surroundings of the Napiwodzko-Ramucka Forest, whose pine forests you can spend hours cycling through. Ancient trees tell the story of the Great Forest, once inhabited by the mysterious Galindian tribe. In Pluski, you can feel the old Warmia: with post-German architecture and traces of ancient settlers dating back millennia. We are among the new settlers: we value the local microclimate and history, bringing a breath of fresh air to local tourism – on our own small scale. We've built two cottages in the forest on the edge of the village. They are well-thought-out, refined and delightfully comfortable. They were created for those who, like us, value silence and want the forest to become their everyday life for a few moments. This is a place for adults - a refuge free from distracting stimuli. This is Asia and Mariusz. We first came to Pluski 30 years ago, and it was love at first sight.
Over the next two decades, we regularly found reasons to return, whether for New Year's Eve, Valentine's Day, winter break, Easter, May Day, summer vacation, or an autumn getaway – every occasion seemed a good one. With us, the group of Pluski lovers grew, and we bravely and constantly recommended it to family and friends.
When the world turned upside down six years ago, trips to Warmia gave us a much-needed respite and a sense of freedom. It was then that we decided we wanted to make our own little piece of home here.
Forest View was created out of a love for the local trees, hills, lakes, forest paths, the silence and peaceful energy vibrating in everything around us.
We hope that you, too, will find here what attracted us all those years ago – and what keeps us here to this day.
