If you're looking for a space that will accommodate your plans, laughs, and luggage, you'll find yourself in the attic of a red-brick former German house. You enter through a creaking, blue porch – our signature feature and the absolute symbol of our home. You can easily bring a group of up to seven people, and everyone will still get a good night's sleep. Upstairs, we've prepared idyllic interiors where time slows down and the bedding smells of the breeze. It's the kind of homely warmth that reminds you of childhood mornings under your grandmother's duvet.

Outside, nature reigns supreme. There's a former barn, slowly devoured by dense ivy, creating a fascinating, green sculpture. In the evenings, we retreat to the old barn to sink into the deep, restored cinema seats. The aroma of old wood fills the air, and the projector flickers on the wall. During the season, we also offer a summer kitchen. It's a fully functional space with a wood-burning oven, grill, and large tables—one covered and the other outdoors—made for feasts that never want to end.

You drop your bags in the nearly 90-square-meter attic, which gives you complete autonomy. Upstairs, you'll find two spacious rooms with en-suite bathrooms, separated by a shared dining area and kitchenette. The larger room sleeps 4 (1 large double bed and 2 single beds), while the smaller room sleeps 3 (1 double bed and 1 single bed). The interiors have everything you need (dressers, hangers, tables), and the windows overlook only the grounds and forest. There's actually one logistical challenge: the stairs leading upstairs are quite steep. Feel free to bring your dogs, provided you can carry them in (and out!) under your arm.

In the morning, you can count on breakfast prepared with local produce, and in season, vegetables straight from the local garden are included. From April to October, you can take over the summer kitchen, complete with a wood-burning stove and space for long bonfire gatherings. It's the perfect excuse to grill fresh trout from the nearby Drwęca River, which outperforms most fish from seaside fish and chip shops.

Warmia and Western Mazury offer a delicious cauldron of Prussian, Old Polish, and borderland flavors on your plate. While you're there, be sure to find "dzyndzałki z hreczka i skreczki" (dumplings filled with buckwheat groats and hearty cracklings) on the menu, or tuck into the crispy "plińce z pomoćka" (potato pancakes with thick, chives-and-garlic cottage cheese). During the colder months, excellent goose and cold-pressed linseed oil poured onto whole-wheat bread reign supreme.

When you're really not in the mood for cooking, there are several trusted options nearby. Drop by the Restauracja z Zielonym Piem (Restaurant with a Green Piece) in Olsztynek (where you'll enjoy excellent goose gizzards or goose breasts), visit the Warlity Palace, or grab a seat at the Pałacowa Restaurant at the Anders Hotel, whose terrace overlooks Lake Szeląg Mały. It's also worth booking a three-course dinner in advance at Stara Szkoła in Wysoka Wieś.

We're 200 km from Warsaw and less than 10 minutes from the S7 expressway exit, yet you'll find yourself in the middle of nowhere, nestled in rolling countryside right next to the Dylewo Hills Landscape Park. With over 2 hectares, we can accommodate a maximum of 9 people, so you'll have no problem finding a space all to yourself.

On-site, you'll find a private ravine with a stream, where you can lounge on deckchairs, and a forest with hammocks. We've also hidden a wood-burning sauna among the bushes and trees. In the evenings, you can enjoy the cinema in an old barn, where the aroma of old boards fills the air, and the projector image is absorbed from deep, restored armchairs. On a cloudless sky, we recommend simply looking up – the lack of dense buildings and streetlights allows you to gaze unobstructed at the Milky Way, and on a sunny day, you might even spot the Northern Lights.

If you'd like to venture off-road, hiking and cycling trails begin right outside the gate. A 35-minute bike ride will take you to the Lake of France Reserve, which holds a dark story about Napoleon's soldiers and the brutal revenge of local peasants. While strolling through the surrounding forests, keep your eyes peeled for the curled horns of Corsican mouflons, introduced to this area over 100 years ago by a Prussian aristocrat, looming among the trees.

Just 15 minutes away are the Grunwald Fields, best visited early in the morning, when the mists hang in complete silence over the former battlefield. From Ostróda, you can take a cruise on the Elbląg Canal to see ships literally floating on the grass, and in Nidzica, 30 minutes away, you can climb the Teutonic Castle. For those seeking wind in their hair, there's a wake park in Ostróda, while those who prefer calmer waters can enjoy kayaking or trips to the exceptionally clear Drwęca River, which is abundant in trout. In winter, we strap on our cross-country skis, and year-round, you can visit the open-air museum in Olsztynek, admire the Gothic basilica in Gietrzwałd, or explore the surrounding, intimate lakes.

With the younger group, you'll check in at the attic. Please note that the wooden stairs leading to the rooms are quite steep, so the little ones will need your help climbing them.

On-site, the kids have over 2 hectares of land to manage. The babbling stream in the private ravine is the perfect place to test out your rubber boots. When it rains, simply open the doors of the old barn and sink into the restored cinema seats in front of the large projector screen.

In the surrounding area, skip the school boredom and head straight into the forest to track the curly-horned Corsican mouflons, which were introduced to this area over 100 years ago.

If you need to open your laptops, the attic will be a perfect fit. Both spacious rooms have tables and chairs, and the connecting dining room has a large table, perfect for spreading out all your gear. Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, and cell phone coverage is available throughout the entire property, so you can easily connect to the outside world if necessary.
