At a glance
In the beginning, there was a longing for freedom. A wild and remote plot of land somewhere outside the village, where there was no hint of development. They said I wouldn't be able to build a house here. I gave in. Step by step, I became familiar with this vast space, getting to know my own little piece of forest, birch groves, and fields. I spied beaver lodges, learned to observe changes in nature, and listened for birds. The house was to blend into the meadow ecosystem, so that interference with nature within the 6.5 hectares of Warmia habitat was as minimal as possible. These expanses of land around me—meadows, fields, and forest—belong to me, and during your visit to Wild Warmia, they will be yours alone. There are no fences here, we have our own biological sewage treatment plant, and our electricity comes from the sun. The house, on the other hand, smells of wood, radiates peace with its natural colors, and through its large windows, it invites you inside to the Warmia landscape. It can be observed from various angles, from terraces facing three cardinal directions. This is a place for those who, like me, long for freedom. They want to breathe deeply after waking up and walk barefoot through the grass. In Wild Warmia, hours and notifications aren't counted. What matters is the warmth of the sun on your face, time with a book by the fireplace, the warmth of a campfire under a starry sky. This place was created to remind you of yourself.

My name is Ania. By choice and education, I manage legal risks for large companies, but my heart has always been rebellious – on the side of wind, freedom, breath, and feet dirty from walking barefoot. My artistic soul demanded that I create a place of respite where everything is natural and blends into the landscape. After graduating from agricultural studies during the pandemic, I purchased over 6.5 hectares of meadows, woods, and fields in the Warmia countryside, in the middle of nowhere. I decided that by building a place of respite for people, I wanted to interfere as little as possible with the landscape and ecosystem, ensuring that this place continues to be a haven for animals and preserve its biodiversity. This is how "Wild Warmia" was born – a self-contained cottage surrounded on three sides by terraces, nestled into the landscape of hills like a Tuscan postcard.
The house was intended to be natural, so we opted for wood; much of the furniture was renovated by me, we sleep exclusively on cotton futons, and I try to avoid plastic. I tried to design the interior in a soothing way, allowing for maximum contact with nature thanks to the large windows and a color scheme that harmonizes with the greens, sands, and blues of the Warmia landscape.
I want it to be a place of regeneration, inviting both relaxation with friends or family, but also with discreet spots where you can spend a moment alone in a hammock or meditate by the stream.
Originally, the entire house was built off the castle grounds, which required enormous effort to ensure comfort. Today, we have electricity, but we still have our own water, our own biological sewage treatment plant, and we heat our water with electricity from solar panels. We use only organic detergents.
When five years ago, I, a lawyer from a large city and a single mother of two, announced that I had bought a piece of land beloved only by deer, elk, and red deer, where there was no chance of development, and located outside a slightly depopulated village, everyone said I couldn't do it. The house has been standing for two years now. This year, I started my first week of summer vacation, and it turns out that people also love this place for its unkemptness, for being itself, for calling us to freedom and reminding us of the rhythm of breathing.
The house itself is just the beginning; I want it to be a place for forest bathing and herbal baths. A place with a space for yoga and breathing exercises. For groups, starting in the fall, I'll be launching relaxation training, Tibetan bowl sound massage, yoga, and self-therapy, so that relaxation becomes deep regeneration. Wild Warmia was created to remind us of ourselves, at our own pace and on our own terms.
