Remember how in "With Fire and Sword" Skrzetuski and Rzędzian crossed the Zaporizhian Sich by boat in the fog? The mysterious Dnieper River was played in the film by... our Klimkówka. And that's no coincidence, as Jerzy Hoffman spent his childhood in nearby Gorlice. He probably spent more than one summer by the lake. You can follow in the footsteps of the legendary director and visit the water in southern Małopolska, and reenact a scene from the film, perhaps on a pedal boat. And if you crave a real adventure, you can even try your hand at windsurfing. The area around Lake Klimkowskie is a great place for those who need some exercise. We have picturesque forest trails, great mountain bike trails, and in winter, a ski lift and cross-country ski trails. It's hard to know which to choose first. If we were you, we'd take the kids here for a vacation, as the number of ways to spend a day off will burn off any energy. We don't forget about these furry little guys on all fours, because we know they're family too. We have a fenced-in area, so escapes are out of the question. Come visit our comfortable three-bedroom house, close to the lake, the forest, and peace and quiet.

At Lake Klimkowskie, you can rent kayaks and pedal boats, or take advantage of the windsurfing school. Numerous hiking and biking trails run nearby, leading through forests, hills, and former Lemko villages. It's also worth visiting the historic Orthodox churches scattered throughout the area, and the Wysowa-Zdrój spa town, known for its mineral waters and peaceful atmosphere.

Need some ideas on how to spend your day?
- Take a walk or bike ride along the path along the lake, towards Uście Gorlickie. Along the way, you'll enjoy views of the water and surrounding hills.
- Visit the local Orthodox church, now the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. It's a reminder of the former Lemko region and the history of the valley, part of which was submerged after the creation of the reservoir.
- Drive to the dam on the Ropa River. It was this river that created Lake Klimkowskie, and from the dam's vicinity, you can see the reservoir and the surrounding mountains from a different perspective.

Seek out the film locations for "With Fire and Sword"—the lake featured in the film Dnieper, along which Skrzetuski flowed. Then you can head further into the Low Beskids, among wooden Orthodox churches and ancient Lemko villages.

Kayaks and pedal boats are available for rent at Lake Klimkowskie, and older children can try their hand at a windsurfing school. The area offers easy walking and cycling trails, perfect for family outings, and plenty of space for outdoor play.

The mini zoo in Zdynia is also worth a visit, especially for children, and you can also explore historic Orthodox churches and peaceful Beskid villages.

The house has fiber optic cable and excellent mobile phone coverage, so you can comfortably work remotely – at the table, on the couch, or with a mountain view from one of the terraces. I work from here regularly and know that the Beskid Niski region offers an exceptionally good combination of work and relaxation.
