Struggling with the monotony of the home office? Drop by the Oficynka Home. It's a haven for city dwellers dreaming of their own patch of greenery and morning coffee with grass under their feet. Just an hour's drive from Warsaw, you can feel like you're on holiday in the countryside – even in the middle of the week and even after you've used up all your vacation time. Simply drive to Janki Street, and then a little further, to a large, lush garden on the edge of the forest. Here stands a small cottage: simple and idyllic. For those who value peace, birdsong, and the proximity of nature. It will be a bliss for couples and solo artists. And your pets, who are full-fledged guests. If you don't drive, you'll be happy to know that you can get here by bus from the capital. And once you're there? Besides lazing among the trees, I suggest walks and bike rides. Bikes are waiting for you on site. A 10-minute walk away. You'll reach the atmospheric Dwórzno Vineyard, and in a little more time, Radziejowice Palace. If you don't have time for long trips but really need to forget about yourself, come and experience an idyllic vacation amidst the forests of Mazovia.
The outbuilding is a year-round guesthouse. Completely independent, but located on the same property as my house. It's the perfect place for a vacation or to recharge after a business trip. It's suitable for those working remotely. It's perfect for solo travelers and couples. Families with children are also welcome, provided you don't mind the small space. It's quiet and intimate.
The outbuilding is small: 28 m². One room contains a double bed, a fold-out sofa, a table, an armchair, and a fireplace. There's also a simple kitchenette and a bathroom with a shower.
The outbuilding is a place for those who appreciate simple pleasures. The greatest luxury here is the large, well-kept garden. On warm days, you can enjoy breakfast on the terrace, hide in a hammock, and enjoy the view of the surrounding greenery. On cooler days, light a fire and enjoy a barbecue.
The 3,200 m² plot is wooded, surrounded by fields and forests. The entire garden will be at your disposal. I live next door, in a large house. The property also includes a woodshed, a kennel, and a bird enclosure (geese and chickens). If you'd like to bring your own pets, my animals can stay in their enclosures. In addition to the chickens, geese, and Polish hounds, there are also five cats living here.
A garage is located in the same building as the Annex.
The Annex features a small kitchenette with a two-burner stovetop, allowing you to prepare simple meals. When the weather permits, we recommend the fire pit with grill – there's a convenient dining area right next to it.
If you'd like to order meals delivered, I can help with the arrangements.
The Annex is a place for simple pleasures: breakfast on the terrace overlooking the greenery, reading books in the garden, and strolling around the area. The property borders a forest, perfect for daily strolls. The recreational St. Anne's Pond is also nearby. Bicycles are available for your use, so feel free to take a bike ride.
On our street is the Dwórzno Vineyard, a 10-minute walk away, and on Słoneczna Street, you'll find the Water Village, ponds, a restaurant, and a children's playground. The thermal pools in Mszczonów, DeepSpot, and Suntago Water Park are 5-7 km away. The palaces in Radziejowice are 10 km away. Our guests enjoy all of these amenities.
And what's nearby?
- the atmospheric Dwórzno Vineyard is only a 10-minute walk away. From here, you can take a walking tour with a wine tasting or attend the Wine Festival on the first weekend of September.
- The ponds of Wodna Osada are also just a short drive away: you'll find a fishing spot and a good fish bar serving fish from their own farm.
- 8 km away are the Mszczonów Thermal Pools and DeepSpot, the deepest diving pool in Europe, and 13 km away is Suntago.
- 12 km away is the Radziejowice Palace, where jazz evenings are regularly held. In the summer, classical music resounds within the palace, a celebration of classical music taking place as part of the Jerzy Waldorff Summer Festival.
A 25-minute drive will take you to post-industrial Żyrardów, full of historic buildings from the 19th and early 20th centuries. Here, you can admire an interesting former spinning mill from 1833 and the main church of Żyrardów, dedicated to St. Our Lady of Consolation, with its Art Nouveau stained glass windows and impressive chandelier. Over 3 million bricks were used in its construction!
If you'd like to host a small party here (e.g., a birthday or name day barbecue), I have no objection. Of course, we're talking about slow-paced events, without any extravagance :) The cottage can accommodate 4 people, who can sleep on-site, and up to 12 people can sit at the table and benches in the garden. Such intimate celebrations are possible for longer stays.
There's nothing stopping you from visiting the Annex with your child or children, but remember that it's a small house. You'd have to share a small space, and the extra sleeping space is on the sofa. If that's what you're comfortable with, little ones (ages 6 and up) will definitely feel right at home here: the area is fenced, the garden is safe, and they might enjoy hanging out with the chickens and geese.
You can easily come to the Oficynka to work remotely. The internet works well, and there are tables in the cottage and on the terrace where you can work.
