Is this peace and quiet a bit crappy? That's right, at Kierpcówka 75! A few heroes will take care of your peace and quiet here. Firstly, wood, because – you'll have to see for yourself – nowhere sleeps better than in a wooden house. Secondly, the warmth of home. A fireplace, a jacuzzi, a trip to the nearby thermal baths, and finally, sauerkraut and real oscypek cheese at the local inn will warm you from the inside and out. Thirdly, the Tatra National Park and its landscapes. Just sit by the window on the sofa in the living room, and the mountains will surround you with their majestic peace. And finally, the tranquility of Kościelisko. Conveniently close to Zakopane, yet pleasantly far from the hustle and bustle.
The Tatra Mountains' hiking, skiing, and cross-country skiing trails will keep you active, so you'll fall asleep like a log (or rather, a marmot!) after an evening barbecue. We'll be happy to recommend the best routes for both little and big legs, and heat up the hot tub for your return. Just remember that the gravel road leading to our retreat requires four-wheel drive or chains in winter.
The 76 m² Niedźwiadka Cottage offers a comfortable space designed to accommodate up to 9 people. The cottage features 3 separate bedrooms (sleeping 4 in total) and 2 bathrooms with showers. The layout of the rooms and sleeping arrangements is as follows: Bedroom 1: 1 large double bed (sleeps 2). Bedroom 2: 1 large double bed (sleeps 2). Bedroom 3: 1 larger family room with 1 large double bed and 1 single bed (sleeps 3). Living Room: A spacious living area with large windows and a TV, complete with a sofa bed providing comfortable sleeping space for 2 more people. Bathrooms: The cottage features 2 fully equipped bathrooms with showers. Kitchen and Dining Area: A separate, well-stocked kitchen with standard appliances (including a refrigerator and stovetop) is connected to the dining area. Outdoor relaxation area: from the living room you can directly access the terrace and balcony, from where there is a beautiful view of the entire panorama of the Tatra Mountains.
There's no boredom here, but no one forces you to do anything – peace and quiet reigns supreme! I love an active lifestyle in the mountains, so I'm happy to share with you how to best spend your time.
What we do on-site (in the cottage and garden): Relax in the jacuzzi: After a long day on the trails, there's nothing better than a large garden jacuzzi with a mountain view. Just let me know the day before, and I'll personally light a fire under it so you'll have hot water waiting for you. Feasting and the backyard: We have a large garden with barbecue facilities – perfect for long evening conversations while enjoying the scent and sound of the nearby forest. Fun for kids: Your little ones have a safe outdoor space to run around and their own playground, so you can enjoy your coffee on the terrace and gaze at the Tatra Mountains.
The atmosphere of a wooden house: Anyone who has never slept in a real house, scented with wood, has no idea how deep a sleep can be. Relaxing in the cozy living room with a mountain panorama outside is a treat in itself.
What to do in the immediate area: Trails and valleys just around the corner: The cottage is an excellent base for trekking and walking. It's close to the most beautiful spots in the Tatra National Park – Kościeliska Valley and Chochołowska Valley. From here, you can set off on hikes or beautiful bike rides.
Winter fun: When the Podhale region is covered in snow, the area transforms into a fairytale. You can go skiing (the conditions nearby are excellent) or organize a traditional highlander sleigh ride with torches.
Soaking up the sun and eating well: Near the cottage, you'll find regional inns where you can enjoy authentic oscypek cheese and homemade sauerkraut soup. And after a frosty or intense day, it's worth diving into the nearby thermal pools (20 minutes by car) for a swim with a view of the snow-capped peaks.
City break: If you miss the hustle and bustle, Zakopane is close by. You can pop out to Krupówki Street and then return to our quiet and intimate oasis in the evening to truly unwind.
Here, entire families can catch their breath and the little ones can run around for hours! In the large garden, I've created a safe play area for children and a private playground. This allows parents to sit quietly on the terrace, enjoy a well-deserved coffee with a view of the Tatra Mountains, and keep an eye on their little ones at all times.

Family trails right nearby: The proximity of the Kościeliska and Chochołowska Valleys means you'll find ideal routes for safe, beautiful walks – perfect for little legs or strollers.
Winter fun: When the snow falls, sleigh rides are nearby, and traditional highland sleigh rides are organized nearby, which kids absolutely love.

So you don't have to pack the whole car, we provide a comfortable cot in the cottage for the youngest children (up to 3 years old), free of charge.
Remote work, or mountain workation, is pure pleasure here! Although people come to Chatka Niedźwiadka primarily for peace and quiet, I fully understand that sometimes you just need to open your laptop and catch up on work.
Reasonably fast and free internet: You have constant access to free, stable Wi-Fi throughout the cottage, in all rooms, the living room, and each bedroom. You can easily transfer large files or connect to company calls without worrying about losing reception.
Space to concentrate: You won't find typical, austere office desks here, as we've opted for a cozy, homey atmosphere. Instead, our large dining table and spacious living area in the living room are the perfect places to spread out with your computer and documents.
The best bonus? The silence, proximity to the forest, and the soothing view of the entire Tatra Mountains panorama right outside your window – I guarantee that working in such conditions is much more pleasant than in a city apartment. And once you close your laptop, you don't have to wait in any traffic jams - you take one step and you're immediately in the garden, ready to jump into the jacuzzi or hit the trail for a perfect post-work refreshment!
