Those who know how beautiful Kociewie is are reluctant to share their knowledge. Why attract tourists? Let them rush to the seaside; after all, they can camp on the beach 60 km away. Or let them take photos in the Kashubian Switzerland, with its vast lakes. We, on the other hand, enjoy a small, quiet place here, free from crowds. We go for walks to the Wierzyca River and watch birds from the tall grass. If we feel like it, we'll take a kayak. If not, we simply are: lazing around, staring at the sky, and running barefoot on the grass. In the evening, we'll jump in the sauna or have a bonfire. Sometimes we'll go to the forest or spend the day by a lake—a rather small and unspectacular one. If we fancy a stroll through the old town, we head to Skarszewy or Starogard. We admire the colorful townhouses and marvel at how many medieval traces remain in this region. Usually, however, we enjoy life in a brick house with a large garden, albeit in a less significant way. That's enough.

I invite you to my restored homestead in Kociewie, located on the edge of the Wierzyca Valley Natura 2000 Area. It offers 5,000 m² of green space at your disposal. You can rent the entire homestead to a larger group or choose one of the buildings: the House or the Barn. If you rent only one of them, the other will still be available for booking, so it's possible that other guests will also be staying on site.

The home is 120 m² and has 4 bedrooms with the following layout:

On the ground floor, you'll find a living room with sofas and a fireplace, as well as a fully equipped kitchen. The home has 2 bathrooms with a shower. It can accommodate up to 9 people in beds and an additional 2 small children.

The Barn is a large, open space. On the ground floor, you'll find a living room with a dining area and kitchen. Stairs lead to two mezzanines, each with two beds. These are modest 120 cm wide sofa beds, resembling camp beds but with soft upholstery. No one has complained about their standard so far, but before booking, make sure this is the type of accommodation you're looking for.

There's a dry sauna on the property, which is included in the price. Guests of both houses can use it, so it's best to agree on the hours you'd like to use.

Both the house and the barn have their own kitchen. The house's kitchen is more modern, with an electric stove and oven and a dishwasher. The barn's kitchen is also well-equipped, but somewhat more modest. Instead of a modern stove, you'll find a hob and a cozy, old wood-burning oven. A dishwasher is also available.

A fireplace and grill are also available on the property.

If you're feeling bored, feel free to do so; it's hard to find more convenient surroundings. The large garden, lush meadows and fields, and the nearby Wierzyca River flowing lazily create an idyllic landscape where you can forget about everyday life. You'll have 5,000 m² of space to yourself, perfect for lazing around and enjoying nature.

- Head to the Wierzyca River. The river valley, protected by Natura 2000, is the perfect destination for walking, birdwatching, and kayaking.
- If you enjoy challenging kayaking trips, don't miss the Wietcisa! This little-known Kociewie river is the largest tributary of the Wierzyca. It has a fast current, reminiscent of a mountain river, and is recommended for experienced kayakers.
- Hop on your bike and explore Kociewie, a land of picturesque villages, old churches, and lakes. – Visit Skarszewy – a small town with a Gothic church, medieval fortifications, a Hospitaller castle, and a pleasant market square.
– Take a trip to Starogard Gdański, one of the oldest towns in Pomerania. Fragments of ancient defensive walls, towers, and Gothic monuments await you there.
– Head to the Kociewie lakes – for a swim, a sunbath, or a walk by the water.
– Also explore the Wirty Arboretum – a forest botanical garden with an impressive collection of trees and shrubs.

This Kociewie settlement with a large garden is a wonderful place for a family vacation. Children have plenty of safe space to play. They can observe nature, play hide-and-seek, weave wreaths in summer, and make snow angels in winter. Nearby are Lake Borówno with a swimming area and Lake Wierzyca with kayaking opportunities.

The internet and signal are working well, and you can find a place to work at the dining table in both buildings. Additionally, there's a desk in one of the bedrooms.
