Think carefully: is it worth going to the middle of nowhere and sitting there motionless for a week? Many will say yes. And that's what a city-weary tourist needs. But we have something better: we have boos on the edge of civilization. Nine kilometers from Przemyśl—so you can send the loser of a bet for pizza at a critical moment—lies our vast land. It's surrounded by forest, the terrace offers a view of the surrounding greenery, and you can spend mornings strolling through an old orchard. We have a whopping 15 hectares here, so we have plenty of space. We live in the settlement, there's a Zalesie Łany cottage, and now we've added a glamping tent. But believe me, there's so much space that no one gets in each other's way. Glamping brings to mind the best camping holidays, but it has city-friendly standards: a comfortable bed, a shower, a kitchen, and soft armchairs on the terrace. And a sauna, something you don't usually find at campsites. And most importantly: you can visit our farm every day to pet an alpaca.
We're located on the edge of the Przemyśl Foothills, a region undoubtedly worth exploring. Explore the rarely visited Suchy Obycz massif, admire the view from Połoninki Arłamowskie, and gaze at the sgraffito on Krasiczyn Castle. And after returning from your trip, pet an alpaca and stretch out on the terrace with the owner of the beloved human nose.
Surrounded by 15 hectares of land, it features a spruce forest, meadows, an old orchard, and a farmstead where our fluffy pets live. Right next to the pasture where the alpacas graze is our modern barn-style cottage, which has recently been converted into a glamping site, to which we invite you.
Inside and around the tent:
– a double bed,
– a toilet with a shower,
– a kitchenette with a hob and kettle,
– a terrace with comfortable armchairs, a table, and lights.
There's also an on-site sauna.
We're located in the Przemyśl Foothills, so if you've always wanted to explore this part of the Podkarpacie region, this is a very pleasant base. If you didn't know you wanted to, that's an even better idea. Krasiczyn and Przemyśl are just a short drive away, so you can explore the region's culture and history, and while glamping, enjoy the closeness of nature and the company of friendly alpacas.
We currently live on-site and are happy to help you with anything and share tips on how to have a great time in the area.
For the sake of our animals' well-being, we invite you to come without your pets.
First of all, it's worth mentioning that right next door is the enclosure where our herd of alpacas live. They'll be delighted if you feed them carrots and pet their ears. We also have two dogs who love all our guests and happily take them for walks. They're the best guides in the area.
When someone asks us about the greatest attractions here, we say the peace and quiet. We bought this land as a family over 20 years ago, and for a long time, we came here simply to camp: to walk in the forest, to soak our feet in the stream (it trickles lazily 700 meters from the cottage). We suspect you might have similar needs. So if you need a detox from the city, come visit us. Here, you can enjoy:
– walks around the area, among the greenery,
– petting and feeding our alpacas,
– playing with our dog, who will also be happy to show you around the surrounding areas,
– relaxing moments in the sauna.
The charm of our location, however, lies in the fact that relaxation doesn't have to end with just sitting in the forest. You'll find yourself in the Przemyśl Foothills, which we highly encourage you to explore. Here, you'll find historic towns, picturesque villages, wooden Orthodox churches, the San River in the north, and the Sanocko-Turczańskie Mountains in the south. And much more.
Przemyśl
Przemyśl is really close: 9 km. If you're traveling by train, we recommend getting off at the historic train station dating back to 1860, considered one of the most beautiful in Poland: in 2020, it even received the "Train Station of the Year" award. Whichever mode of transport you choose, it's worth seeing. Just like the Market Square and Old Town, the Przemyśl Bell and Pipe Museum, the Lubomirski Palace, or the Kazimierzowski Castle, which offers a panoramic view of the entire city. Another important attraction is the Przemyśl Fortress. At the beginning of the 20th century, it was one of the largest fortresses in modern Europe. Today, the impressive forts are reduced to mysterious ruins, which can be explored on foot, by bike, or on horseback.
Krasiczyn
Krasiczyn, on the other hand, boasts a castle that attracts more than just young wizards (themed summer camps were once held there, and the sight of children in robes and wands was no surprise). The Renaissance-Mannerist structure impresses with its four towers reflecting the world hierarchy approved by its founders, sgraffito wall decorations, and a magnificent park (200 species of trees and shrubs from around the world!).
Pacław Kalwaria
The village with the Basilica of the Finding of the Holy Cross attracts pilgrims, but it's also worth a visit for non-religious reasons. In the Baroque basilica, you'll see noteworthy 18th-century altars in the style of Lviv Rococo sculpture. And an interesting fact: Calvary was founded by the Baroque politician, philosopher, and writer Andrzej Maksymilian Fredro, known as the Polish Tacitus. Aleksander Fredro considered himself his descendant.
Suchy Obycz and Połoninki Arłamowskie
The highest peak of the Przemyśl Foothills towers over the village of Arłamów. The peak can be reached, for example, from the Suchym Obycz Pass along the blue trail. The massif, while not widely known to tourists, is a very picturesque part of the Sanocko-Turczańskie Mountains. The borders of two landscape parks run nearby: the Słonne Mountains and the Przemyśl Foothills – a region of great natural value, including bird conservation areas. The mountain pastures, offering magnificent views, offer a sense of freedom and allow visitors to take a deep breath. They, too, are rarely visited.
Wiar Valley
The region, stretching along a right tributary of the San River, is shrouded in mysterious tales. It lies right on the Polish-Ukrainian border. The Wiar, one of the cleanest rivers in Poland, is 70 km long, almost 60 of which is on the Polish side. You can hike to the river's source, located on the northern slopes of Brańcowa Mountain – just be careful of the wetlands.
Here are some other places worth visiting in our region:
– Bolestraszyce Arboretum,
– Krępak Nature Reserve,
– wooden Orthodox churches of the Przemyśl Foothills,
– Salis Soglio Fort in Siedliska.
If you're looking for longer hikes, check out the following hiking trails:
– Przemyśl-Sanok Red Trail,
– Rybotycki Trail,
– Arłamowski Trail.
It's also important to note that we're located right next to the Green Velo route. If you want to explore this region of Podkarpacie by bike, it's hard to find a better base. There are also many good cycling routes in the area – ask for details, and I'll direct you. In Przemyśl, near the ski slope, there's also the Fort Trails bike park. You'll find both family-friendly and more challenging trails there.
