Yes, in Szczyrk, it's always uphill or downhill. Why complicate things so much? Of course, it's for ski jumping training, for winter skiing, and for the best views of other hills. Once you've rolled up our steep slope near Klimczok (remember the chains in winter!), we guarantee you'll want to sit on the terrace with a coffee forever, because the views are hard to tear your eyes away. Of course, it's also worth hitting the mountain trails, as the nearest one is only 100 meters away. Ride a bike, wander through the forest, and after a day of active relaxation, return to the sauna and... yes, to that terrace overlooking Skrzyczne, which is also a favorite haunt of roe deer and red deer. If you need any tips, we're happy to direct you to the most interesting trails. Our sons know the local forests like the back of their hand, they record wildlife, and over dinner, we share glimpses of nearby spots where nature reigns supreme. We've tried to invite as much of this into our interiors as possible, using natural materials and adding large windows overlooking the forest walls. Our place is somewhat secluded, yet still close to the rich infrastructure of Szczyrk and the surrounding area. So, what time is your first coffee?

Our place in Szczyrk is just like that – dreamed of, longed for, and persistently sought after by people who fell in love with the view of Skrzyczne and couldn't resist it.

We discovered Szczyrk a long time ago, even before modern skiing and cycling infrastructure appeared. It was love at first sight of the mountains. Since then, we've been searching for our own place – slightly off the beaten track, but still close to the city's amenities. A place where you can hear your own thoughts, sit on the terrace, and feel the rhythm of the day slow down.

We also relax here with our children. Our sons know the local forests like the back of their hand. They track deer tracks, set up cameras to record forest life, and peer into places where nature reigns supreme. And they often return with recordings that we watch together over dinner.

What does the apartment look like?

Spacious, eclectic, and very much "our" style. We combined:

> traditionally burnt fireplace tiles from a family workshop,
> wabi-sabi walls painted by a Polish artist,
> natural materials: wood, stone,
> and a few designer touches that give the interior character.

However, all of this is just a backdrop for the view—the one that started the whole dream. From the terrace, you can see Skrzyczne and the forest. And if you're lucky, the neighbors will also drop by: deer and stags, who clearly appreciate this panorama as well.

Directions and Location

The apartment is located on the blue trail to Klimczok, higher up the mountain, right next to the forest. The design of the apartment buildings is a contemporary interpretation of traditional wooden highland barns.

The road is paved with concrete slabs, but in bad weather, a 4x4 is required, and in winter, chains are required.

But once you get here... it truly is the end of the road and the beginning of peace.
