At a glance
Our settlement is called Wilga, but it could just as easily be called jay, tit, or nuthatch, as each of these species lives in the surrounding forest. And many other birds, too. Before you arrive, you can download an app to identify them, or, quite analogously, get yourself an atlas that will help you guess who's singing in the tree.
Wilga is famous for its summer resort, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary. Its origins date back to the 1920s. The "Climate-Recreation Estate," as it was called then, was designed by Andrzej Boni, a Polish architect of Italian descent. Perhaps you recognize the church at Szembeka Square in Warsaw? It's his work. Much has happened here during the settlement's century of existence—but today, thanks to summer residents from Warsaw, who are more eager than ever to have a piece of forest for themselves, Wilga is regaining its former glory. I'm fortunate to own a large plot of land where I have the company of tall trees, mysterious ferns, and bird companions all to myself. And this is where I'd like to invite you if, like me, you're looking for an escape from the capital. You'll find it in a modern, comfortable home, full of small delights for the design-conscious eye. Settle into the three bedrooms and soak up the forest – through and behind the windows. I hope that a relaxing and atmospheric weekend with friends or family will allow you to return to the city in a state of blissful relaxation.

Lost Forest was born out of a need to escape. From the city, the noise, deadlines, and the constant "I have to." I wanted a place where I could come and do absolutely nothing for a moment. Or just do what I wanted.
I found it in Wilga, in the middle of a pine forest, just 45 minutes from Warsaw. The house sits on a large, over 3,600-square-meter plot, and there are virtually no neighbors in sight. Instead, there are pine trees, birds, a fireplace, and that special kind of silence that you really need in the city after a while.
I run my own cosmetics brand, I'm a mother of two teenagers, and I'm definitely one of those people who usually has more ideas than time to implement them. I love beautiful interiors, nature, good food, and places with character. I designed Lost Forest exactly how I'd like to spend my free weekend – comfortably and aesthetically.
You can come here as a couple, with family, or with friends. Reading, sleeping, cooking, sitting by the fireplace, walking in the woods, or simply gazing out the window. The Lost Forest is a bit of my escape from the world. Now I'm happy to share it with you.
