50 is the maximum number of people a British psychologist believes we can call good friends. Now try finding a place for half of them to go on a trip together. Is that easy? No. Is it possible? Yes, it is. For example, if the house is 470 m², has 11 bedrooms, and 8 bathrooms. The only important thing is that your friends enjoy the mountains. We love them so much that we decided to leave city life behind and buy a mountain inn on the slope of Skalite Mountain on the edge of Szczyrk. We have everything here: a forest behind the fence, thanks to which our daughters know what blueberries taste like from the bush, and great MTB trails, thanks to which Konrad can pursue his passion and share it with others. If you're also a mountain biking enthusiast or just want to try it, he'll be happy to share his knowledge with you. He'll arrange bikes to be delivered to your door and suggest the best routes. Maybe you'll even ride one that Konrad himself has mapped out? If you prefer to explore mountain trails on foot rather than on two wheels, you'll love our place too. The house is right on the Skrzyczne trail, and there are also gentle trails nearby, perfect for a family walk with kids.

Who is Gościniec Skalite for? For those who appreciate the atmosphere of a mountain shelter and aren't looking for luxury, but rather for coziness and comfortable space for a group. We have brand new bathrooms and comfortable bedrooms, but the house remembers decades past. It's perfect for large family reunions, mountain trips with a group longing for their student days, or laid-back team-building activities. He likes people, and people like him.

The plot where the Skalite Guesthouse is located also includes the adjacent house (the smaller wooden one). The garden is entirely at your disposal and you are welcome to use it freely, but we'd like to let you know that we'll be your neighbors. We're always available for help and advice if we happen to be on site.

We recommend the delicious, home-cooked catering service, Smacznego by Anna Cędrzak. Anna delivers everything our guests can imagine. She also bakes delicious cakes.

Nearby, you can dine at excellent restaurants such as Twoja Kolejka and Smakuj Życie, both located in Łodygowice.

Here, you can chill on the terrace with a million-dollar view of the Żywiec Valley and the most beautiful sunrises imaginable. Barbecue or have a bonfire on the adjacent plot overlooking the Żywiec Valley and Wilkowice.

We have an outdoor SPA area: a large jacuzzi for approximately 8 people and a large sauna for approximately 12 people (additional fee).

We also have a large garden, where many guests play various games or relax on the grass. The living room has a large table perfect for board games and a large TV, perfect for training or watching movies (high-speed internet is available, but no cable). We also have a large kitchen, where guests often cook together.

We are right next to the forest, so walks, runs, mushroom picking, etc. are commonplace here. The house is located on the trail to Skrzyczne. A walk through the forest takes you to "Siodło na Skalitym," a scenic spot with benches and a resting house – the perfect distance for a longer family walk (approx. 2.5 km). Also nearby are attractions such as the old quarry and meadows with an incredible view at the top of Skalite Hill. On the other side, on the same hill, are the Skalite Ski Jumps in Szczyrk, and this is where Szczyrk begins, with its many attractions.

Regarding the surrounding area, you can take trips to Mount Żar, for example – a beautiful view, a funicular railway, a gravity toboggan run, and an airfield with glider flights and paragliding. (If you need help, we have the contact details for a paraglider who jumps from Mount Żar and Skrzyczne). There are also beautiful lakes there, perfect for swimming in the summer, and incredible views. You can also visit the pumped-storage hydroelectric power plant, but with advance reservations, only for groups.

You can go to Szczyrk, which is a few kilometers away – there are chairlifts, a gondola lift, and generally a huge ski and bike complex. At the top, there's also the Salamandra lift – a gravity-powered sled, but it's so cool and modern. You can also go up the mountain for a bit of sightseeing: to Skrzyczne and Kuflonka.

A 15-minute drive away is Żywiec, with its Beer Museum, free mini zoo, and various seasonal attractions. In the other direction, we have Bielsko-Biała: the Cinematography Museum, the Castle, the beautiful old town center, and many restaurants. There's also a gondola lift to Szyndzielnia, from where you can hike to Klimczok.

A little further on is Wisła, with its many attractions, such as Skolnity with its observation tower. Ustroń – the Forest Surprises Park, where you can feed deer and watch wild bird shows. You can also visit Lake Żywieckie, where there are excellent walking and cycling paths, and you can rent pedal boats, windsurfing equipment, and stand-up paddleboards.

We also work with a mountain bike rental company that delivers bikes directly to our terrace. We can also organize training sessions or guided mountain tours.

We have a small playground on site – a real treehouse with a slide and a swing. We're planning more attractions. The children have access to a large yard – it's a bit of an enchanted garden ;). The jacuzzi is always a hit with the kids.

Besides that, Bielsko has Papaja Park – the most beautiful play area in Poland. There's also the Cinematography Museum, the Castle, the beautiful old town center, and plenty of restaurants. And a gondola lift to Szyndzielnia, from where you can hike to Klimczok.

Żar Mountain is also great – in winter, it's a city of lights, just like Bielsko. Behind the house, we also have a hill with several slopes for sledding. You can also do some jumping on snowboards or skis. CSIR Morgi – pumptruck, skatepark, playground, roller skating track – a super modern place for kids.

We have super-fast fiber optic. There are two desks for remote work that we can assemble and place in selected rooms.
