In the middle of Lake Bachotek, just a kilometer from our forester's lodge, lies Treasure Island, with the remains of an ancient stronghold. Intrepid adventurers who would like to visit it must kayak. However, before you set off into the unknown, we recommend practicing on dry land. Practice your archery with us, because who knows what apparition will emerge from the ruins of a medieval stronghold. You can plan morning runs or bike rides on the nearby forest trails to strengthen your spirit. You can even play a game of golf, as we have a whole hectare of space here, and treasure hunting requires a keen eye. After an intense workout or a long read of other travelers' stories, you can warm up in the sauna. And when you return from your great adventure, light the fireplace and spend hours telling your own story of Bachotek's conquests. When renovating the forester's lodge, we tried to preserve as much of its original structure as possible – using the original bricks and wood. Right next to it is an old forest, where wild animals roam. Occasionally, deer and wild boar approach the fence and can be observed through the window. We live nearby and couldn't imagine a better setting for our daily adventures.

The Pokrzywkach House (Pokrzywki is the historical name for our area) is part of a forester's lodge dating back to the early 19th century. It is located in Karbów, within the Brodnica Landscape Park, near the picturesque Lake Bachotek, a ten-minute drive from the historic town of Brodnica. It is situated on a secluded plot of land, on the edge of a pine forest. We built the house on the foundations of a century-old barn. We tried to preserve as much of the original structure as possible, using the original bricks and wood.

Inside, there is a bedroom with a double bed and a living room with a double sofa bed. Adjacent to the living room are a dining room and a kitchen. There is also a bathroom with a sauna and a utility room.

You can cook anything you want in the cottage's fully equipped kitchen. And if you fancy a restaurant dinner, we recommend the Starówka Restaurant on the Triangular Market Square and the Tama Brodzka Restaurant in Brodnica.

Lake Bachotek is approximately 1 km from the cottage. You can rent a sailboat, pedal boats, or kayaks there. The cottage has a fireplace, and guests have access to a sauna and jacuzzi, as well as bicycles. There are numerous walking and cycling paths in the area, and a forest for mushroom picking. There's also a bonfire area, hammocks, deck chairs, and archery.
