I still laugh to this day that I wanted to be a great scientist, only to find that dumping horse manure brought me more joy. Studying Jurassic crabs at a scientific institution in a big city was much more frustrating than I thought. And I didn't want to be one of those people who loves nature but has no clue about it. To understand it, you have to live with it. Be an integral part of your own microcosm—not observe it from afar.
My path to the microcosm on Zwora, though a dream, was long, and at times dark and stormy. After finding an old cabin in the forest seven years ago, unknown to any navigation system, I went to work in Iceland to earn money to renovate it. It was difficult at times, especially when the island was dark for two months. Returning and renovating it weren't a piece of cake either, as the house was in terrible condition when I bought it. With the help of my dad and brother, we replaced rotten boards, built a new stove, and built foundations for the floating corner of the barn. The adventures were endless: one summer I couldn't get rid of mice, which devoured everything from soap to jar labels. Another summer I ran out of water and spent a month hauling it from the stream in jugs on a wheelbarrow. Today, Zworna Chata is a new home: warm, cozy, and welcoming. I live in one part, and in the other, there's a comfortable apartment for you. Who will enjoy it here? Those who value the company of deer more than civilization. They don't mind the 700-meter walk to the cottage, unless they have an off-road vehicle. They don't need signal, and they're not afraid of mice. In return, they can become part of the Zworna Chata microcosm.

I invite you to Zworna Chata, so you can fall in love with it, just as I did! I'm originally from Nowy Sącz, but I gave my heart to the Piwniczna forests many years ago. My cottage, hidden in the forest on the slope of Mount Eliaszówka, is a piece of paradise that I want to share with others.
I'm a biologist by training and have always been drawn to nature, and here I can completely immerse myself in it, and I recommend it to you. Nothing is as healing as the sound of greenery filling my eyes and mind, the murmur of a stream and the song of birds. Nothing is as relaxing as slowly wandering through the forest, seemingly aimlessly. You'll find all of this right here in my corner of the world.
Besides nature, I've always been drawn to crafts, to creative handiwork that can be used later. And that's how, through a winding path, I came to wool, combining it with a passion for discovering the secrets of nature. Today, Zworna Chata smells of herbs and mushrooms, which I use to dye wool, and I'm wandering through the forest, collecting baskets of leaves, mushrooms, lichens, and acorns. And I invite you to join me on an adventure with the colors of nature, enchanted in wool, at Zworna Chata!
