Somewhere between the mountain pastures and the end of the world there is a small village, and in this village an old Lemko village dating back to 1902, which we are lucky to call our home. This is where the green of the grass meets the blue of the horizon in the most beautiful way known to us. It is here, although you cannot see it, that Osława whispers beautifully, breaking for a moment the clearly audible silence. We, Paulina and Przemek, welcome guests to a place without splendour and panache, but one that's cosy and with soul. Our doors are always open, the thresholds are low, and the kitchen is constantly rumbling and smells of homemade food.
The long and winding road through mountains, forests, rivers and even the ocean led us here to Smolnik. We have made our dream of a house in the mountains come true, and we will fulfill yours about a peaceful, quiet rest. We are already waiting for you!
The inconspicuous Bieszczady trails have knocked the most experienced walker off his feet more than once. In our wooden house, sound is often carried, but blissful sleep is included. Hand-made double pine beds with mattresses made of thermoplastic foam will allow you to sleep better than in your own bed.
We offer five bedrooms straight from an open-air museum: 3 double, 1 four- and 1 five-bed rooms, each different, but all coherently furnished in a rustic style, decorated with hand-made wooden accents. The rooms have their own bathrooms (not every bedroom has a bathroom in the room), where soft cotton towels smelling of the mountain wind will be waiting for you. Each bathroom also has a hair dryer and "hotel" toiletries.
bedrooms:
Cozy - the smallest in our offer, but it works great for two people.
Lavender - shades of purple combined with wood create a romantic atmosphere for two.
Bieszczada - double, warm, made entirely of wood.
Bielona - a bright room where a family of four will sleep.
South - the largest, accommodating up to 5 people, in a climatic attic.
The life of the house, however, takes place mainly in the Biesiadna Chamber, where guests sit down to breakfast (served at a fixed time of 9:00) and dinner (served at a fixed time of 18:00) every day. This is a place where friendships for years are made in the evenings.
Great love for the mountains meets in our house fascination and love for cooking. We do not use shortcuts in our cuisine, much less substitutes. Quality is the most important thing to us! We prepare meals from products purchased from local sellers and homemade preserves.
The smell of coffee from the espresso machine and Przemek's scrambled eggs will get even the sleepiest people out of bed. Every day we serve our guests a different "breakfast" main course, invariably accompanied by a selection of cold meats from a local butcher's shop, yellow cheese/cottage cheese and fresh vegetables, as well as sourdough bread baked by us every day. We buy flour for bread and pancakes at a traditional mill. It is worth mentioning that the jam comes to the tables straight from our pantry, and we buy honey from a friendly apiary in Bieszczady.
We also prepare dinners in the form of a main course and dessert. We mainly serve meat (red and poultry), but our weekly menu - usually on Fridays - also includes fish and meatless dishes. We prepare desserts ourselves. We do not repeat dishes during our guests' stay.
Culinary challenges make our blood pump even faster. We will be happy to prepare something special for vegans and vegetarians.
We accept reservations for breakfast and dinner for every day of your stay. This means that we do not accept reservations for meals on selected days of your stay.
PLEASE NOTE that we do not offer dine-in options. Meal serving hours are fixed: 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. The desire to eat meals must be reported no later than 14 days before arrival.
The Bieszczady Mountains are one of the places on earth where you can laze around with impunity. They show their charms regardless of the season. Every day we fall in love with them again.
- in spring, greenery bursts, flowering plants delight with their scent and color; perfect time for walks and trips;
- in summer, mountain trails leave you breathless and at the same time add immeasurable amounts of energy; the river running nearby will be a relief after hot hikes;
- in autumn, mornings shrouded in fog announce sunny days in all shades of red, during walks in the nearby forests, mushrooms jump into the basket themselves, and the rutting of deer can be heard just outside the fence;
- winter covered with a thick blanket of snow blows pleasantly with frost; The ski slope is less than half an hour from our ski area to indulge in skiing madness.
Don't forget to go on a trip along the trail of old Orthodox churches, visit the forest zoo and the Bieszczady railway. In the afternoons, relaxation on a hammock between the trees is mandatory. Nothing more is needed.
What’s there for children?
We say YES to the backyard games! Active rest is indisputable for our little tourists.
What do we have to offer?
- a small playground with swings and a sandbox,
-tree house,
- a large area for endless frolics, a few friendly furries will watch over who you need,
- construction of snow forts in winter and the first 'steps' on skis,
- downhill to claws: sledging trips.
