Sielskie Sioło

"Sielskie Sioło" is a charming settlement with 3 year-round, luxurious houses for rent, each for exclusive use. All of them are located on the very shore of the lake and each has its own garden, fireplace and a pier with a boat. The magic of this place is created by the wonderful view and the proximity of the lake. You don't have to bring bedding or towels with you. You will find everything smelling of wind and sun on the spot.

In "Idyllic Kitchen" we will conjure up very tasty homemade dinners for you. The specialties will go straight to your table on the terrace or at home. Outside the summer season, the kitchen is closed. What do we offer? As you know, there is no shortage of fish on the lake, so here you can try them in various forms. You will taste warm, smoked vendace or fried zander. Our menu does not lack regional accents. One of the flagship dishes are grapeshot and pelmeni dumplings with broth.. In Podlasie, you can find many eastern influences, e.g. in the kitchen. One of such delicious accretions are pelmeni - delicate, aromatic dumplings with beef and pork filling. In August and September, the surrounding forests are full of mushrooms. It's a sin not to use them in the kitchen. We offer you aromatic tenderloin in mushroom sauce - velvety, full of flavor and smell of undergrowth. The hearts of our guests are conquered by potato pancakes, served with a light dip and salmon. Different and tastier than the ones you've eaten so far. We also spoil your palates with seasonal desserts. An absolute hit is the orange-almond cake, baked without fat and flour. If you prefer to cook yourself, you have an alternative. The kitchen in your home is equipped to meet your needs. You have at your disposal: an induction hob, a fridge, an oven with a microwave, a wine cooler, a dishwasher, a pressure coffee maker for coffee beans, plus all the tableware to serve refined dishes or those straight from the grill or cauldron. Local products can be found a stone's throw (1 km) from "Sielski Sioło". In the “Przystań u Krystyna” bar and grocery store, you can buy delicious bread baked on calamus, homemade smoked ham, lard with pork scratchings, home-made jams and preserves, pickles, cow's milk curd, eggs from local hens and popular in Podlasie - sękacz and an anthill.

SUMMER: perversely, I can say that you will be bored like a pug ... lying on a hammock, sipping good wine, reading a book, enjoying the music of nature, watching from the terrace: swans, ducks, white and gray herons, cormorants, grebes, tiny reed warblers.  You ride a boat with oars, kayaks, a pedal boat and SUP boards. The famous Czarna Hańcza rafting, one of the most charming rivers in Poland, is a hit. In the evenings by the fire you can admire the milky way, and with our telescope you can count the moons of Jupiter and see the rings of Saturn. SPRING and AUTUMN and: you will hear a dialogue between greylag geese and cranes. The most beautiful phenomenon is the morning mist, which is a wonderful scenery for morning coffee on the terrace or a hot bath on the pier. On a September evening by the fire you will hear "audio-roaring", and for those willing we can organize an afternoon stalking to the rut. WINTER:  in the vicinity of Suwałki you have a total of over 25 km of prepared and maintained cross-country skiing trails. We can also organize a sleigh ride for you and of course you can light a fire in a fabulous winter scenery with a cauldron, not to mention walks on a frozen lake. For fans of alpine skiing, we have two slopes with ski lifts: a T-bar lift in Szelment and a chair lift in Gołdap. Among our houses, on the very shore, there is a dry and wet sauna, which heats up from 40 ° C to 110 ° C, especially for walruses at -20 ° C frost and a cut ice hole with ice water. * * * The habitat to which I invite you is unique, it lies directly on the lake, on the other side of the shore stretches the Augustowska Forest. In summer, life goes on outside: on the terrace, the pier, by the fire. I arranged the surroundings in such a way that my guests have full privacy. There are various species of fish in the lake, keen anglers start the day very early - with fishing from their own pier. Others cast a fishing rod and rest in a hammock. Nobody complains about the lack of success, some even managed to catch the "specimen of their lives" here. You can also fish from a boat. The lake is small but very charming. Its advantages are best admired from the perspective of a boat, kayaks and pedal boats. You can bathe as much as you want, just a few warm days and the water heats up quickly. At the end of the pier, the depth is already 2 m. Do you like bicycle trips? Eight trekking bikes are waiting for you. There are plenty of beautiful routes in the area for less and more advanced cyclists. Amateurs of passive outdoor recreation have a huge terrace with sun loungers at their disposal, and in the roofed part - soft sofas and an outdoor fireplace, where you can warm up on cooler evenings, when you admire the planets through a professional telescope. You can also go to conquer the area. There are places that cannot be missed on your map: the post-Camaldolese monastery on Lake Wigry, the sanctuary of Our Lady of Studzieniczańska, the wooden church in Mikaszówka, the old railway bridge in Stańczyki, the double water lock in Paniew, the amazing Bachanowo boulder. The summer Wigry Narrow-Gauge Railway has a station in the neighboring village. Riding it is a great fun for children. Slightly older children should be taken on a kayaking trip organized on the already mentioned Czarna Hańcza, as well as a boat trip from the port in Augustów or water skiing. If you want to "work on your beauty" during your vacation, you will find solace for your body in the Augustów SPA. In Sejny you can go to the concert of the Klezmer Orchestra of the Sejny Theatre. Concerts are also held in the revitalized Czesław Miłosz's Manor in Krasnogruda.
