There is a house where the culture-lovers and the culture-enthusiasts, the homemakers and the travellers, the Hanks and the Bohemians, the girls and the big boys will feel comfortable, where the number of inhabitants does not exceed a hundred and the village is divided into upper and lower parts. It is not an ordinary building with a roof, windows and an entrance; it is an asylum from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and a refuge of Karkonosze peace.

The story begins in Gajówka, a charming holiday village between Jelenia Góra and Świeradów Zdrój. There are as many houses as there are cats, and each of them hides secrets. On the hill, at number 16, you will find Dom w Domu, which can be proud of its 200 years of history and wealthy owners. It used to belong to silk weavers. A story we have heard says that in the upper part of the grove, at the bottom of one of the buried wells, there is a treasure hidden for the soldiers of the Polish Army. Maybe it is right here? We do not know, but we hope that together we will discover the mystery of the past.

We invite you to fields and meadows, fields of grain, mountains and hills. For the most comfortable beds in this latitude, breakfasts that will make you lick your fingers and a view worth every penny. Our little guides Tomek and Igor, are already waiting!

At number 16, in a 200-year-old silk weavers' house, we've breathed new life into it. We've made every effort and put a lot of heart into preserving its original atmosphere while maintaining the highest standards. However, please remember that this is an old wooden house, so you can sometimes hear footsteps, creaks, or the movement of the ceilings.

In comfortable rooms for 2, 4, or 5 people, we can accommodate a total of 26 guests seeking peace and quiet. The apartments are air-conditioned. We await you with heavenly beds with double mattresses, views of the Karkonosze and Jizera Mountains, and a 100-square-meter terrace in selected rooms.

For hedonists, the intimate spa awaits, featuring a traditional Finnish sauna, steam room, relaxation area with a brine wall, and an outdoor jacuzzi on the open-air terrace. You can also book relaxing massages. The spa is available every evening, free of charge.

In addition to the 7 rooms, you'll also find a dining room and terrace where meals are served, storage for bikes, skis, and ski boots, and a relaxation area with sofas. In the living room, you can warm up by the fireplace and enjoy a read. Our library is brimming with books and board games. There's also a games and playroom for children and adults, equipped with a large TV with Xbox Kinect, a retro Nintendo console, and comfortable large pouffes. Access to hundreds of movies and series online is included, and for children, there are numerous toys, building blocks, and a large chalk wall.

The workshop yurt offers 120 m² of space for play, relaxation, and entertainment during the high season. Air hockey, table football, trains, toys, and large-format games are waiting to be discovered. Summer, winter break, and long weekends are the time for creative workshops and fabulous cinema with popcorn!
Each room has single beds that can be seamlessly combined into a large (180x200 cm) double bed, a modern bathroom with a shower and hairdryer, and free Wi-Fi.

We believe that the way to a person's heart is through their stomach, and delicious food brings people closer and softens their customs. We pamper them with local delicacies, rich breakfasts, and with the first lark we wake them up with the smell of fresh bread and aromatic coffee.

Our hobbyhorse and great pride are filling breakfasts, which we serve in the form of a buffet from 8:00 to 10:00. Children will always find something they like to eat. Even the most picky eaters gobble it up until their ears shake. Come for our CULT and LAZY BREAKFASTS - as Guests say, it's worth it :)

We prepare homemade dinners on selected days of the week (every day in high season and 5 days a week in low season): 2 dishes with compote (meat or vegetarian and from the menu) - order at the latest in the morning or before arrival - it will be cheaper :) We always have more delicate versions of dishes for children.

During the day, you can order soup, pancakes or lazy dumplings or use our homemade jars. Other dishes will be delivered to you by 3 different restaurants.

A coffee machine with sweets is at your disposal all day long. We have Italian Pellini coffee - a mixture of Arabica and Robusta - delicious!

At home, you can also use a small kitchenette to prepare small meals or food for the little ones. There is a fridge, microwave, kettle, small electric hob, saucepan and frying pan as well as dishes, glassware and cutlery. However, these are not the conditions for preparing lavish dinners.

We do not like half-measures and we cook for you just as we eat ourselves. Vegetables, fruit and herbs are from our own seasonal garden. Eggs from neighbors from Gajówka and Młyńsk from naturally fed hens. We buy cheese from a friendly farm. Meats are real delicacies, and real bread is baked by neighbors Łukasz and Patrycja.

For children we have chairs and plastic tableware.

We try to prepare vegan and gluten-free dishes on request. Let us know in advance. We do not have therapeutic diets.

As experienced travelers, we know what ingredients make a good vacation. The recipe for the best vacation at home far from home is peace, bliss, and general well-being of body and mind. Quiet thoughts and boredom are simply advisable at a time when we slowly forget what it's like to lie on your back.

With us, you can spend your time on many activities or simply doing nothing. Some of our guests usually don't go anywhere, they just relax well in the large, old orchard and garden with a pond. Our motto is "rest well", so we have prepared a few corners for you that will dispel boredom for a moment during the rain, integrate and diversify long autumn evenings.

We have LOTS of attractions and facilities:

- on selected days a fairytale cinema with popcorn for children

The intimate SPA will provide relaxation in a traditional Finnish sauna and steam bath. After a session in the sauna, you will relax in the relaxation area with a salt wall. On the SPA terrace, you will watch the stars while lying in the jacuzzi, enjoying a massage.

The house in the house lies within the reach of the "dark sky" with a cosmic view of the spilled Milky Way. Romantic star shows and catching a star from the sky on a deckchair is exceptional here. Passionate anglers and lovers of silence with wetting the rod in the main role can fish in our pond.

We know what's up, where it's worth going, what to see, where to eat and what trails to take. We will be happy to advise you on how to plan your day or go on a trip by bike or car.

- Świeradów Zdrój, which is a health resort with the longest larch drinking hall in Poland, is located just a 15-minute drive from Dom w Domu.

This is just a foretaste of the attractions and entertainment for both young and old.

The most important thing in Gajówka is peace, it is what creates an extraordinary microclimate and makes you sleep deeper, and simple food tastes delicious.

As parents of Tomek and Igor's children, we know that safety is the most important thing when having fun. The location away from roads means that the little ones can experience a real holiday in the countryside.

In winter, there is a place to go sledging, make a snowman, take a walk. There is a small hill in the garden for sledging, so red noses and happy faces are guaranteed.

During rain, slush and snowstorms, we have a huge availability of fairy tales and series, but above all, a playroom for children and a large workshop yurt, where you can even organize running competitions!

For happy groups, families, children and crazy teams, we organize creative workshops, animations and fairy tale screenings with popcorn in the high season. Parents will relax and children will have a great time.

We know how important amenities are for parents, which is why we provide (prior reservation required). We are specialists in holidays with children :) - travel cot with bedding and a thick mattress, - potty, toilet seat cover, sink platform, - bathtub, changing table, - electronic nanny with a range covering most of the house and yard, - inhaler and contact details for a pediatrician, - bottle warmer, - air humidifier, - high chairs, - plastic cutlery and dishes, - bibs. Adults will relax in the Intimate Spa, go skiing and biking and find plenty of hammocks in the garden.

For children, we have:

- in the summer swimming pool (7.5x3.5m) - heated!

The dining room can be a place for working together, where twelve people can work comfortably at four tables. In the living room there are sofas, on which, in addition to replying to emails, you can indulge in pleasant laziness. In each of the rooms there is a table with at least two chairs.

There is also a huge workshop yurt with tables, deckchairs and pouffes - it is an ideal place to work. Wi-Fi works everywhere.

However, if you need to print something - let us know and we will help. In the apartments you can feel the joy of children using the swing or running around the terrace overlooking the Jizera Mountains. In the garden, in addition to breathtaking views, there are benches, chairs and a hammock waiting for you. Does the company have to pay for your worktation? We will issue them a VAT invoice covering the stay, breakfasts and additional meals. You will not pay anything :)
