We relied on the best word of mouth marketing to find a place worth visiting in the Tatras. It was not easy, because, in order to discover the non-commercial side of Zakopane, you need to dig snowdrifts, consult and deviate a bit from the beaten track. The tip of the tongue is perfect as a guide, and we have it. In the vicinity of Krupówki and all the commotion of Oscypek there is a place where Podhale traditions are cultivated on a daily basis, not only during holidays and "for tourists".
Cubrynka is run by us, mother and daughter - women of flesh and blood and a husband, a true highlander. We put into our villa the best of what everyone had in them. Experience, customs, youth and a modern approach. The interiors are modern and our hospitality is traditionally rich.
We have 6 apartments for you, beautiful views of the mountain range, band-aids for accidents in the yard and stories about skiing adventures. We invite you at any time of the year. In the spring we have crocuses around and a little fewer tourists in the vicinity, in summer beautiful weather and great scenic routes behind the fence, and in winter you know. There is a frenzy.
In a wooden highlander's cottage with a folk but modernist note. The main motif in the house was a graphic that closely resembles the Zakopane motif and was used as wallpaper. Each room and apartment has a different color. Plus wood, wood and wood and a bit of gray. The basement has also been designed with lovers of mountain expeditions in mind, and there is an impressive climbing wall and a children's zone waiting for you there.
There are 6 apartments with kitchenettes (ceramic hob, set of dishes, fridge with freezer, dishwasher, electric kettle, cloths, dishwashing liquid) and bathrooms (shower, toilet, bidet, hair dryer, towels, toilet paper) at your disposal. 16 people in total:
- two 2-person rooms (with balcony),
- two 3-person rooms (with balcony),
- one 4-seater,
- one deluxe 2-seater.
We can add a travel cot to each apartment.
Use the common areas as much as you want:
- bouldering, i.e. a climbing wall for children and adults,
- ski equipment storage,
- boot dryers and professional ski boot dryers,
- laundry room with ironing equipment,
- children's Corner.
Outside, there is a parking lot, a playground for children and a place to relax (a platform with deck chairs and an umbrella). We are currently working on a place for a barbecue.
We have several amenities for parents with children: a bathtub, a high chair, a potty, and a travel cot.
Wifi is available throughout the house.
We invite you without pets.
In Cubrynka everyone rules in their own way. The apartments have kitchenettes with dishwashers. In cabinets and equipment is everything you need to cook for a weekend or several-day trip.
The nearest grocery store is 350m away, which is 2 minutes away to refill your supplies.
You can cook, but you don't have to. We recommend several proven dinner addresses in the area:
- Zajazd Furmański (550m) good food even in the hottest season. After 18:00 a highlander band plays live here and they have a playroom for children.
- "Biały Potok" inn (3.3 km) a cozy wooden cabin with regional food.
- CZIKAGO Grill Bar & amp; Pizza (2.8 km) you will find here good burgers with homemade rolls, pizza and tasty desserts.
All Zakopane attractions are within easy reach, and quiet here, without stalls and the smell of barbecue. 15 minutes walk to Krupówki and half an hour to Kuźnice - the starting point for the main routes and the starting point of the cable car to Kasprowy, so you do not have to go there by car and pay for parking. Just walk or take the bus.
Condensed information on what is worth and where it is worth, instead of catching a bargain every day on Krupówki
- A visit to the Oscypek Museum, where you will learn the difference between the real and the fake, see how it is made and listen to the story of a real shepherd. A great adventure for the whole family.
- A walk along the Wooden Architecture Trail of highlander buildings, a sightseeing trip around Zakopane in the footsteps of Stanisław Witkiewicz, Podhale villas, chapels and churches.
- A family walk to the Kościeliska Valley - here it is best during the week, there will be a smaller crowd. The route is approx. 10 km long and is a full-day trip for families with children.
- A fairy-tale route by cable car to Kasprowy Wierch. Queues for tickets are kilometers long, but you can buy them online - note, they are much more expensive then.
- A delight with the panorama of the Tatra Mountains on Sarnia Rock. If you haven't been there yet, we highly recommend it. It is an excellent view point and you can get there with the whole family.
- Go to Nowy Targ for the annual Aviation Picnic. And there are several dozen aircraft, including civilian and military helicopters, as well as F16 planes, modern and historic, popular and less common.
What’s there for children?
We are not afraid of the weather, because in the mountains it changes like in a kaleidoscope, but we tested that you can not be bored here. There are countless attractions at home and in the garden. On level -1, a space for children has been developed that works like a magnet. The little ones have to be pulled out of there by force. Bouldering is a real hit - a place where you can climb on an artificial wall and discharge the children's lunar energy.
When there are thaws, puddles and mud in the mountains, children already know what to do. After all, it's a great fun. Give them a moment of real joy and take them to the mountains. The educational program "PoSzlaki" will help in planning the route. Tatra National Park invites you to summer hikes and educational meetings.
In winter, even those who take their first steps can put on skis and try on the slopes. We know from experience that such kids catch skiing in no time. Just behind Cybrynka there is a small ski lift with a friendly slope, you can also sledge.
