The Douro Valley region is on the UNESCO heritage list. It is possible that you already knew about it, but it is also possible that our Slowhop profile will make you suddenly decide to be here as soon as possible.

The case looks promising. Only one hour to Porto. This is where they make port wine from vines growing right here in the fertile Douro Valley. The world here is covered with a green quilt of vast vineyards, traversed here and there by the blue ribbon of the Douro River. Our house is here. It's old but powerful and full of important memories. We gave it a new life, created a few unusual nooks and crannies, donated a cinema room, a swimming pool and beautiful places to calm down. We gently introduced it into the 21st century and suggested that it host a few guests. It had nothing against it.

We invite you to our valley. For spring among almond trees, summers spent listening to Billie Holliday by the pool, autumns spent eating grapes from bushes and photographing copper colours. It's a good place. We invite nice groups and individual guests.

We have 9 bedrooms here. 5 of them have their own bathroom and toilet, and the triple bedroom shares a large bathroom with another double bedroom. Each room has a double mattress. In addition to fixed beds, we have several extra beds (and cots for babies), in case of stays with children.

There are several common places and nooks in the House. It's great to spend time in company there and no less great alone. Those are:
- 4 separate lounges perfect for joint port tasting. In one of them there is a piano.
- swimming pool
- cinema hall
- playroom for children
- a small library for people who need to be online from time to time (internet is everywhere)

There is also a swimming pool, garden, patio and a few surprises that we will keep for your arrival.

Portuguese breakfasts are usually sweet. However, because the view is the sweetest possible and the weather is also the best - we are not limited to croissants and coffee typical here. Oh no. We're going a lot more.

We invite you for breakfast from 8-10, regularly delivered to places where everything tastes best. And the best coffee in the world, drunk in thought and amazed at the horizon.

For other meals, we invite you to a nearby town, where there are enough addresses to stay in culinary excitement until the end of your stay. If you prefer to cook with fresh ingredients (which we have on the spot) - a large kitchen with a dining room is at your disposal. We can assure you that preparing a common meal can provide you with an exquisite experience, not only culinary.

When is the best time to go to the Duoro Valley?
If you like to photograph - late October / November.
If you like flowers - February / March (almond trees bloom everywhere)
If you like walking and biking - April / June or September / November. The aura is then perfect
If you like hot weather, swimming pool and sea - July / August. The temperatures then exceed 30 degrees.
If you want to pick grapes - late September.

How to visit the Valley?
By boat on the river. Such trips last from one day to several days. These are then trips full of delicious food and wine.
By bike - you can get anywhere then, but you should keep your condition in mind.
On foot - you can then visit more vineyards with a tasting and combine it with food without any remorse.
By car. We have enough parking here.

And if you don't feel like going anywhere, all you have to do is go up the hill and plunge into the vineyard. You can lie on the grass, lie by the pool, fry prawns with garlic or explore the town.

Children are doing well with us. There is a swimming pool, a nice playroom and happy parents.
