Do you know anything about the Nowy Sącz region? Historically, it has always happened here, so there is a lot to see. It is a carnival in nature - valleys, rivers, mountains and mysterious fumes from the depths of the earth. There is a house in this colorful land. On one of the ceiling beams in the living room you will see a carved rosette with the date 1912 - this is when the house was built. He got a renovation and a second life for his hundredth birthday.
There are no discos in the area, no TV, you have to get to the store by car (preferably off-road). In winter, wood for the fireplace and snow chains are invested here. But dear people, what are the possibilities! It is better to leave high heels at home, but you should take your shoes in the mountains, a thermos and come to air your head. You can of course hike the trails, visit Muszyna and track the spotted salamander. But you can also hang in a hammock in your pajamas or hang a book by the fireplace. Rather, no one will see you here ...

Michał has always been hiking in the mountains, he loves them with great love and even almost became a Beskid Guide, but for now this plan had to be parked. Somewhere in college I - Kasia joined him and we spent our first dates in the mountains, of course. Years flew by, we dreamed of a cottage away from everything, surrounded by a forest with a beautiful view. Michał focused on nature, and I added a little comfort - and we managed this marriage in Chata na Groniku.
It took us 3 years to find the perfect place, during this time we traveled thousands of kilometers, looked at dozens of houses and spent countless hours in the car (we live in Krakow). It paid off because we finally found the perfect house - so far we do not know how it happened that we were charmed by a total ruin, but it clearly had this "something" that caught our eye. In over a hundred-year-old house on the top of the hill (the locals call it Gronik), next to an old orchard and on the edge of the forest, we started the renovation of all time. We agreed on one thing: the house should fit into its surroundings, it should be traditional and made of natural materials. It is supposed to smell like wood and be comfortable to rest after a long day of hiking. After 2 years, with the support of local highlanders and great professionals, we were able to invite our first friends. They keep coming back because they say that there is something here that makes everyone feel "at home" here.
Come, stretch your legs in front of the fireplace, light the lamps in the orchard and enjoy the mountain air and rural silence. We invite you to rest.
