There are a few things you should know about Roztocze. First of all: it is the sunniest region in Poland. Second: it's one of the five regions where wine grows and tastes the best. Thirdly: the sun, wine, people and music make you come here time and time again.
You will not find bathrobes with an emblem here. Honestly, we don't even have bathrobes without an emblem. We have rooms made in the old "millennium" school, a lot of space for cool people, we have family from the east and west, experiences from many lands and love for the one on which we live.
Come to us on bicycles, kayaks, learn about the history of the borderland, walk in the forests, meet the lynx and the eagle, talk to Zbyszek Zielarz, absorbing the culture and art of this region. Learn to recognize herbs, bake proziaki or sing folk songs in a white voice in our workshops, because Chutor Gorajec is a real People's University. See the historic church filled with music during concerts organized in Gorajec. Come for Folkowisko, one of the most famous festivals of folk culture in Europe, where nobody places border posts. We are waiting for you in a place of living tradition and we will tell you many interesting stories. Time flows differently here. We don't need a TV set, all we need is binoculars, a camera, and what's all around.
Take the children with you - we have a playground full of secrets and freedom: eco-trail, hides and treehouses. It is a world where every nook and cranny is a new, fascinating adventure.

For culinary adventures we recommend:
1. Forest Cottage in Kowalówka - (5 minutes by car or a longer walk through a beautiful forest) - home-made dinners.
2. Ballroom Restaurant in Cieszanów (7 min. by car) - home-made dinners.
3. Trzy Stawy in Ruda Różaniecka (10 minutes by car) - fresh fish in a million ways, plus deckchairs, straw and sand right by the pond.
3. Cafe Sanacja (30 min by car) - delicious and beautiful desserts, coffee and alcohol, but also dinners.
4. Rubin's pub in Narol (15 min. by car) - Rubin, when asked if he makes nice dumplings, replies indignantly that he doesn't make nice dumplings, he makes fucking... dumplings!
3. Zagrodę Guciów (56 minutes by car), an open-air museum with a regional pub and eco-friendly food.
4. Zagroda Roztoczańska in Obsza (17 km) - known for the visits of Makłowicz and Okrasa. If they like it, you probably will too.
The village itself is a piece of history. We have one of the oldest Orthodox churches in Poland (along the wooden architecture trail). And we have Folkowisko.
Every year, on the second weekend of July, together with the community of our village (a group of friends, the Association of Culture Animation of Borderland Folkowisko and the Circle of Rural Housewives), we organize the Borderland Culture Festival FOLKOWISKO in Chutor Gorajec.
And then we really rock.
- concerts
- workshops
- dance parties
- children's village
- Fair of Miracles
- film screenings
- canoeing
- trips for kids
- and about a thousand other things.
But if you want to visit Roztocze Wschodnie at a different time, we recommend:
- bicycle trips - seriously, the best routes are in Roztocze. 266 km of trails through Landscape Parks, abandoned villages, passing churches and wooden churches. Petard.
- Szumy nad Tanwią Reserve, full of micro-waterfall (there are 15 of them). Cool neighborhood.
- villages abandoned during the "Vistula" operation: Dahany, Monastyr, Moczary. Amazing places with a difficult history.
- the Borek district in Zwierzyniec, where the narrowest street in Poland is located
- Szczebrzeszyn, where you not only take a selfie at the board with the name of the town, but learn what multiculturalism used to be like.
- Majdan Sopocki - where you swim in the heat
- Susiec - in this small town the Szumów Trail (waterfalls) begins and from here hit the Jeleń Waterfall.
What’s there for children?
We have so much experience with our kids that we have become experts in children's traveling. We know what they need and what they don't necessarily need. In Chutor Gorajec kids:
- sometimes they are so black that the mother doesn't recognize them, and the father doesn't really mind them
- they roll around in the grass and sometimes stick blades of grass in them
- in the sandbox, they work constructively, practice the art of deconstructing women and dig tunnels
- or browse the bushes on an adventurous eco-trail
