Do you remember the scene from Titanic in which the main character climbs onto the bow of the ship and, whipped by the water and the wind in a surge of unfettered freedom, shouts: "I'm the king of the world!"? Here, he could shout the same on the terrace because here, you have the endless sky over your head and the whole world under your feet (or at least this part with the Beskid Wyspowy).
So, if you dream of having breakfast with a view of a huge sunrise, long for the taste of real bread, or dream of an open-air bath - take your friends or family, your kids and your dog and come to us on Wzgórze Paproć. We look forward to seeing cool people.
We are next to Limanowa, on the former trade route leading from Krakow to Budapest (maybe some people will still find a few Roman coins on the road?), on the slope of Mount Paproć, called by the locals Koszarska or Rysia Góra.
There are four cottages in the yard: a small house, a studio, our house and my painting studio.
The cottages are located near our house and fit perfectly into the landscape and atmosphere of the Beskid Mountains - they are wooden, minimalist and finished by us. Equipped with large windows so you can look at the mountains and nature throughout your stay. Living in a small house, you don't have to get out of bed to see the sunrise stretching across the sky. We will also see sunrises from the studio's windows, although we will be able to see sunsets longer on the terrace.
We give our guests not only a place to sleep, but also our hearts put into refined interiors. The house has four places to sleep (2 single beds and a mezzanine), a spacious bathroom with a shower, a huge terrace where breakfast tastes like nowhere else, a small useful kitchen, a parking space and a fireplace. And a second terrace with bathtubs. At the bottom of the house there are two beds that can be pushed together. There is also a mezzanine where two people can sleep. There is no railing at the top, so we do not recommend sleeping there with small children. We welcome children, we have a travel cot, we can also borrow toys and gadgets that our children use. Ask us :)
Next to the House, on the site of an old barn, there is a comfortable Studio that can accommodate 4 people (two double mattresses on the mezzanine). In special situations, we can spread an additional mattress (e.g. at the bottom) - the Studio can accommodate a maximum of 6 people. The house has a bathroom, a small but useful kitchen, a terrace with a brilliant view and bathtubs, and a fireplace. The studio is a large open space with sleeping on a high mezzanine, accessed by stairs. The mezzanine is secured with railings. The house has a fireplace. The studio is decorated with furniture and art made by us - our paintings and sculptures hang in it. It is a place not only for spending the night - it is also intended to foster creativity and the development of creative ideas.
We invite you with children. Our children love company :)
We are animal lovers, so you can easily take your pet with you.
Our cuisine is vegetarian and ecological, it is important for us to support local breeders and farmers (we have several trusted and friendly farmers from whom we buy supplies), which is why the breakfasts we prepare are based on local products. We get eggs and seasonal vegetables from our neighbor Mrs. Janina. For dairy products we go to the irreplaceable Mrs. Stanisława.
Additionally, we have a small vegetable garden and seasonally we cook mainly from it: tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, cabbage, onion, kale, herbs, garlic, beans, squash, zucchini, pumpkins, sorrel. We try to use as many seasonal products as possible, keeping in mind healthy meals full of microelements and unique taste.
Leave the diets "for later", because we offer bread that we bake ourselves. And spread it thickly with butter.
We cook when we are not absorbed in creative work. You can then eat a filling breakfast here.
Please arrange this with us in advance, as they are not always available.
We promise to make your stomach happy. And from there it's a straight path to the heart!
You can wander around the area all day long, climb the surrounding peaks: Paproć, Łopień, Łysa Gora, or a bit further to Mogielica or Ćwilin. Nordic Walking is very popular in the area, and green bicycle routes encourage you to ride even in hot weather. In the area we have two ski lifts, where there are no crowds and you can ski in peace.
Right next to it, in Mordarka, there is an apiary with a wide range of delicious honey, so it's perfect for lovers of sweets. In turn, near the legendary Shrine of Graces located on the Mordarka stream, there is a spring whose water is said to have healing powers.
We also recommend climbing Miejski Góra (the Cross mounted on it is twice as high as the one on Giewont!) and admire the panorama of the Beskids, Gorce and Tatra Mountains from the observation deck.
For those who get bored of walking and taking forest baths, we have something special - four rustic bathtubs that we keep ... in the garden. You can have a bath with an amazing view. We guarantee that these are one of the most instagrammable bathtubs in the world and it's worth taking a few photos in them.
And by the way, we recommend lying down on the grass, turning off your head, looking at the clouds lazily flowing in the sky and just slowing down.
What’s there for children?
We asked our specialists about activities for children: Ziemka and Wanda - our children. They recommend treehouse games, chasing and hide-and-seek in the garden and the nearby forest. Besides, we have a clean river in the area where you can soak your feet, pick stones ... and catch frogs.
What’s there for employees?
Our surroundings make the tension caused by everyday duties quickly disappear and creative thoughts begin to flow freely through our heads. There is space for new ideas. Working from the terrace may not be the easiest thing, because this mesmerizing view makes us lose interest in everything on the computer. On colder days, we recommend working at a table with a view of the mountains. Lazy people can lie down with a laptop on the sofa. Each house has one common table in its own open space. Be sure to let us know in advance if you plan to work with us. The Internet works better in a larger house - Studio. Let us know if there is a need for Internet in the tiny house, we will then move the router to the tiny house. You don't have to worry about food, because for an additional fee we prepare delicious meals from local, seasonal products.
