In the times when Karpacz was called Krummhübel, the health resort of Alexandrinenbad was located at the foot of the Karpatka Mountain. Healing water and uplifting herbs attracted elegant ladies and wealthy men. Even the German star of poetic realism, Theodor Fontane, spent his holidays here. In the 1920s, Krummhübel was in bloom and the waterfall on the Lomnica Dam attracted tourists. In the summer they listened to music in the band shell built by the water, in the winter they went ice skating and competed on the bobsleigh track built right next to it. History writes various scenarios, and one of them leads to this house, which is no longer a health resort, but you can still relax and breathe deeply there. He ended up in good hands - first my grandmother's, then mine, and he survived unscathed. Thanks to my passion for interior design, the house boasts an elegant appearance and historical setting. An old German tiled stove stands next to a modern sofa, each bedroom has its own avant-garde fireplace, and the windows in the living room know the history of Alexandrinenbad inside out.

You couldn't imagine a better location. The house is located among the trees at the foot of the Karpatka River on the Łomnica River. While resting in the garden, you can hear the sound of a waterfall, the splash of a river, birds singing and your own thoughts. We invite you to a house that enchants with history, delights with design and provides intimate closeness to nature.

At your disposal is a 90 m2 exclusive house for up to 6 people. In the living rooms you will find a hall, kitchen, 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms and a living room.

Two minimalist bedrooms with comfortable double beds (160 x 200), fireplaces, TVs, work spaces and a beautiful view of the forest. After a bath and while drinking your morning coffee, you can wrap yourself in the nicest bathrobes under the sun. There are two types of sleeping pillows to choose from.

Two bright bathrooms with a shower have underfloor heating. There are towels, a hair dryer and hotel cosmetics. We provide standard at the highest mountain level.

The living room is decorated with great attention to detail. Beautiful, large terrace windows let a lot of light and the smell of the forest into the room. There is an antique, post-German stove, a fold-out sofa for two people, a coffee table, a plasma TV and access to the terrace. Board games, sumptuous dinners and delicious breakfasts usually take place at a large living room table for 8 people.

The kitchen will not disappoint even a professional chef. The dishwasher will help with washing up, the oven will help you make the cake, and the coffee machine will help you wake up.

In the house you will also find a first aid kit, a washing machine and a clothes dryer, flashlights, umbrellas, and a good sound system will be provided by a Bose speaker.

For babies, we have 1 travel cot and 2 high chairs.

I am giving you exclusive use of the house, which means that you have to prepare the food yourself. However, I did not leave you with nothing. The kitchen is well-equipped, so you can make dumplings, baked turkey, wuzetka and vegan lard. Just everything you can dream of. The equipment will include:

If cooking is not your passion and you want to try local delicacies, I recommend going to:
- Podhulanka Restaurant, 330 m away. Top-class mutton from a local breeder, venison from the Kaczawskie Mountains, Kamienna Góra cheeses, vineyard from Ślęża Mountain and the local Czech brewery - such flavors of Lower Silesia are waiting for you in Podhulanka.
- Kolorowa Restaurant, 400 m away. Dishes from the tasting menu, exquisite dishes and fancy desserts.
- U Ducha Gór restaurant, 1.3 km away. You can count on typical highland delicacies here. Kvass soup, ribs, mutton, pork shank "Karkonosz style".

The house is located in a quiet, magical part of Karpacz. In the beautiful garden, on the covered terrace, you can organize endless sun loungers and parties with wine and a book in the background. Here we have: a large, old table, amazing greenery, lush grass and a barbecue.

On long winter evenings, after skiing fun, there is a library with books and board games at home.

After passing through a mysterious gate in the garden and jumping over the stones to the other side of the Łomnica River, you will reach the forest. Take your baskets with you, because there are plenty of mushrooms here.

You have a 200 m walk to the titular waterfall, i.e. the Łomnica Dam, and there is a picturesque reservoir that looks beautiful at any time of the year, but is most beautiful in autumn, an impressive waterfall and a red tourist trail that leads towards the Grabowiec hill.

Carpathian top 10 things to do here:

- Wielki Staw, the largest glacial lake in the Karkonosze Mountains. Trails from Karpacz from Wang Church and the red trail from Równia Pod Śnieżką lead to Wielki Staw.
- A trip to Śnieżka, which is worth starting from the parking lot located at Głosów Górskich Street in Karpacz. From here, follow the green trail which will lead to Wang Church. You will stop here for a while, because this unique building was built without the use of metal nails.
- Hot chocolate and tea with electricity at the Samotnia Shelter on Mały Staw.
- The Valley of Palaces and Gardens includes almost 30 objects of secular architecture.
- Skiing on the Biały Jar and Kolorowa ski slopes, approximately 500 m from the house! Cold, steep and flat, white, as it should be in the mountains. There is a ski storage room in the house.
- Silesian Stones (Divci Kameny).
- Cycling in the Karkonosze National Park is allowed only on marked sections of routes.
- One of the most characteristic features of Lower Silesia are its numerous castles and palaces. They will allow you to travel back in time and feel the atmosphere of medieval fortresses and baroque estates.
- Cross-country skiing in Karpacz is a great idea. You have several routes at your disposal.
- The Karkonosze Mountains are a paradise for hiking enthusiasts. There are many tourist trails in their area that allow you to safely and attractively explore this beautiful land.

For children, there is, above all, the garden and the surrounding forests and hills, which unleash wild nature and crazy ideas in them. They soak their hands in the river, collect stones and build towers out of them, choose the prettiest pine cones from under the trees, make snowmen and ride on a sled. After a whole day of frolicking, it's worth warming your cold feet and drying your wet clothes by the fireplace. This is when the books and board games available at home come into play.
