Polany is at the crossroads of cultures, in the least populated commune in Poland, where Wisłoka and Wilsznia rivers intersect. A place that really makes you feel like you're at the end of the world. Among absolute, unprecedented peace, truly undisturbed dark nights and clearly visible stars, and in good company, is a home. It's situated in the heart of the Magura National Park, adjacent to 4 other cottages, so there are no crowds. Instead, there is a chapel with the Blessed Virgin, traditional spruce transformed into a summer house and a real highlight, i.e. a Lemko cottage brought back to life. It provides a feeling of travelling back in time. Whitewashed walls, an old bread oven, tapestries on the walls, wooden floors and furniture straight from a grandmother's alcove, while the other half of the house is a comfortable, charming, electrically and automatically heated log cabin. And the 160 m2 of the attic has been masterfully converted into a huge playroom for children or an exercise room for yoginis ...
The Beskidy microclimate is conducive to an urban detox. You can only hear crickets at night while walking in the wilderness, you can meet a black stork and a warm fireplace while relaxing at home. The big advantage is the lack of television, the Internet, and even cell coverage, which allows you to completely mute and forces you to use your time in a creative way. Let your imagination run wild and take a bath in the river, discover forgotten Lemko villages and spend valuable time with your loved ones.
Carefree holidays with Lemko history are at your fingertips.
The restored Lemko hut in the shade of a large old oak, surrounded by a large garden, which also houses a historic chapel. Under one roof, there are traditional rural rooms adjacent to comfortable rooms with a contemporary-rustic decor, like from a grandmother's hut.
In the old part it is homely, folk and homely. Tapestries on the walls, a hamster hung in the vestibule, whitewashed clay or wooden walls, an old bread oven that is still warming up to red. Half of the house is a cottage like an open-air museum with all the inconveniences and charms, such as the need to burn in the oven to heat up, the floor and door squeaky, nibbled by the tooth of time. The other half is a modern, wooden apartment with electric heating, solar panels on the roof, a huge gym and playroom in the attic and a well-equipped kitchen.
Advocates of progress, on cool evenings, instead of a kitchen stove, they can choose a couch in front of the fireplace, which is located in the new part of the building.
An old shed, which was once used as granaries and storage cells for food, has been restored to life and has now become a summer cottage. It is at your disposal if you need more than 12 sleeping places.

We have a rare phenomenon of the lack of coverage of any mobile networks and the lack of TV sets at home. This results in a real rest in nature. There is, however, a landline telephone and high-speed wireless Internet, for those who wish to do so.
Pets are welcome for free, but you must remember that cleaning up after pets is your responsibility.
We want you to feel at home during your holiday in the countryside. At your free disposal is a modern kitchen with a dining room equipped with two refrigerators, a stove with an oven, dishes and cutlery. The old sideboard does not let you forget that you are dealing with an old house, and the wooden walls provide an unforgettable atmosphere. You can also cook on the old kitchen stove, although here you will have to move memories from grandma's house. Prepare flour, salt and water and knead the flatbread. Baked on a live fire, they taste delicious.
Serve your breakfast flatbreads with milk, cheese and eggs, which you can buy from your neighbor behind the fence. Local farmers also offer home-made butter, cottage cheese, bundz, vegetables and other eco-friendly delicacies. Scrambled eggs with chanterelles are a luxury that you can afford in Krempna. Behind the house is a forest full of mushrooms.
If cooking on vacation contradicts your rules, you can order dinner with delivery in pots from the neighboring agritourism, world cuisine, vege, gluten-free and whatever you like.
Additionally, we have restaurants in the area:
-restaurant Bacowka in Polany.
- a trout fryer in the Pod Mareszką Restaurant in Świątkowa Wielka. Try home-grown trout in various culinary varieties, home-made croquettes and dumplings, and delicious soups.
- Cho No Tu pizzeria in Kąty - tasty and inexpensive.
Boredom is advisable, because that's when creative thinking begins, real rest and recharging the batteries. It is as before, without television, internet and telephone coverage. You can read books, warm yourself by the fireplace or stove, light a fire, organize bicycle trips, walks and show kids the fun of your childhood. This is the time for talks, board games and unhurried existence.
The attic is a 160 m2 space arranged for a huge playroom, a place for exercise, meditation or joint meetings.
The 3000 m2 garden has enough space to play football, lounging on sun loungers, and in winter to build complex Eskimo structures and snowball fights. Life in Polany is almost phlegmatic, and time is spent swinging on a rope suspended on a tree, drinking coffee on a bench under the house, picking mushrooms and listening to deer in a rut.
On-site waiting for you:
- bikes: 2 children's mountain bikes and 3 adult bikes,
- grill and a place for a bonfire,
- maps, guides, books, board games.
200m from the house there is a large swimming pool with a pebble beach. At the junction of the rivers - Wilsznia and Wisłoka, a natural lake was created, which in summer is popular with locals and tourists. In winter, it is worth going to the Chyrowa SKI ski lift, located 11 km from the house. A modern slope for advanced and beginner skiers, as well as a restaurant open all year round. Snow sprinters will be pleased that in the vicinity you will find excellent cross-country skiing routes.
The house is located in the Magura National Park, which invites to walks. At a stone's throw distance there is a very dense and interesting forest, if you like the forest climate of "mess" in the forest you will be delighted.
The Low Beskids is known for the cultural mix of its inhabitants. Be sure to go on a trip through abandoned by people, slowly overgrowing valleys (the vicinity of Żydowskie, Ciechania, Nieznajowa, they are especially beautiful in spring). Old wooden Orthodox churches, World War I war cemeteries, old cottages and rarely seen spouts, such as Krempna, Grab, Kacwin, await you there.
In the immediate vicinity of the House in Beskid, you will find:
- unique wooden churches in Krempna, Kotania Światkowa Mała and Wielka,
- dozens of kilometers of well-maintained, paved forest and asphalt roads with small driveways in the commune.
- Museum of the Magura National Park in Krempna,
- unspoiled the most beautiful valleys of the Low Beskids: Radocyna and Ciechania,
- an impressive scenic route from Krempna to Grab through the picturesque Jewish valleys of Huta Kempska, Huta Polańska and Olchowiec,
- 2 studs for horse lovers, where you can practice horse riding and rent horses for mountain hiking, among others in Huta Polańska.
What’s there for children?
Children will spend a really carefree time here. Freedom and freedom are limitless and joy is inevitable. They will forget about phones, tablets and computers. Such an electronic detox will have a salutary effect on them. They will remember about the existence of a ball, with undisguised joy they will spend long hours on a swing, build sand castles, remember about playing hide and seek and warm-cold.
They will discover a tiny stream with frogs next to the house and organize a bicycle trip to the other side of the garden. In case of bad weather, they will be able to discharge endless energy in the attic playroom or spend valuable time with their family. Children don't need much to be happy. I know from experience that they lack the closeness and attention of their parents the most.
For parents with kids, we have prepared:
- baby bathtub,
- toys and books for children,
- children's dishes and cutlery,
- a cot for babies,
- baby chair,
- portable / travel baby cot.
What’s there for employees?
The house hides not only the Lemko spirit, but also fiber optic internet. In the kitchen we have a wooden table with benches, and in three rooms there are desks where you can comfortably sit down to your daily duties. Of course, there is no GSM network coverage throughout Polany, which in some circumstances can be an advantage (for example, during creative work). The range appears only after connecting via WiFi. After work, we suggest long walks and bike rides.
