It all started with the dreams of our parents, Mirek and Jasia, and this story is like looking through a family album. Over 30 years ago, they planned to escape from Warsaw to the countryside. After a long search, they found their green enclave - a small farm near Warsaw with its own pond for swimming, surrounded by vast meadows and forests of Łochów. It was the perfect hiding place from the world.
Many things already existed here, but even more, had to be created from scratch. Over the years, my parents created a place that was close to every member of the family. We knew that here, we could always escape from the hustle and bustle of the city at an express pace and enjoy the energy of chlorophyll, wind and water. When my parents passed away, my twin sister and I decided to nurture the family holiday home and share it with others. We give you the best of everything: a ground floor house for 6-8 people and a 6-hectare farm with a private pond with fish, forest and orchard. There are no neighbours, but herons, cranes, storks, starlings, cockatoos, gilts and hoopoes are frequent visitors, as are hares, roe deer and foxes. There is also a beaver living by the pond, which is a full-fledged resident of the habitat - you can watch it early in the morning and in the evening. When it gets dark and the nights are pitch black here, set up your telescope on the lawn and study the constellations.
Now you know where to go for an outing (not just a weekend one) near Warsaw. We invite those who love contact with nature, those who seek space just for themselves, their relatives or friends, and those who love pets.
You have at your disposal the entire ground floor of the house with accommodation for 6-8 people, a 6-hectare farm with a stocked pond waiting for fishing rods, a beautiful forest, garden and orchard. Inside, there are 3 bedrooms (13, 12 and 18 m²) and a living room. Two bedrooms have independent bathrooms, one with a view of the pond and exit to the terrace.
The rooms have double, matrimonial beds, in one of them two single beds. It is possible to add 1 bed to the largest bedroom. We also have a living room (with a fold-out corner), two large terraces overlooking the pond and forest, and a spacious dining room with a fully equipped kitchen and a shared bathroom.
Bring pets - we love them!
There is also an unfinished building on the property. We ask for your patience and understanding regarding its appearance. We hope that soon we will be able to transform it for the benefit of our guests.
We leave at your disposal a fully equipped kitchen with a stove, an oven, a fridge with an ice maker, a dishwasher and a wood-burning stove. It is full of luxury and culinary freedom. There are also all necessary dishes (tableware, cutlery, cups, glasses), as well as a toaster, coffee maker, pots, pans, blender.
We also leave a "starter pack" with a little ground and instant coffee, tea, salt and pepper, a little olive oil and a little dishwashing liquid, a few cubes for the dishwasher.
You can order delicious, home-made products from the caretaker of our house (cold meats: ham, pâté, sausages, bacon, black pudding and many others), also cottage cheese, milk. It's worth it!
In nearby Jadów (6 km from Domeczek) we recommend a local bakery with excellent bread and cakes, every Wednesday you can do shopping at the local market, and in Łochów (12 km from Domeczek) there are several restaurants and a pizzeria.
There are a lot of herbs around the house that you can use (basil, rosemary, thyme, oregano, peppermint and sage). In the season, we leave for you gifts from the orchard: currants, blueberries or gooseberries. Nothing stands in the way of using the gifts of the surrounding forests - blueberries, mushrooms or blackberries.
There is everything (in our opinion) you need to reset out of town. At your disposal, in addition to the house, stocked pond, orchard and forest, and the fun of the wild surroundings, we offer: a barbecue, a place for a bonfire, a volleyball and badminton court, a trampoline, wi-fi, a TV set, deckchairs, a telescope with glasses to observe the sky, especially huge moon. In case of bad weather, we will leave board games, card games and a lot of movies on dvd. Bookworms can count on a quite ample library, because nowhere reads as well as by the fireplace, or on a deckchair under a tree.
You can take a breath, find time to talk to a loved one, take a break from stress, deadlines, work, traffic jams, exhaust fumes, you can spend time doing nothing (that's what we need), you can spend it actively. You can learn, read, write, draw, paint, photograph the Moon up close, do everything that is in your heart! It's a great place for yoga, Nordic walking, running, canoeing trips are organized not far from us. There are as many as 6 bicycle trails in the area from nearby Jadów!
Of course, in autumn we invite you for long walks in the surrounding forests, it is a paradise for people who love picking berries or mushrooms.
What’s there for children?
Lots of space for children to play outdoors. You can play football, badminton, hide and seek, or build a hut. We also leave crayons and a few board games for children at the Little House.
