A few kilometres south-west of Krakow's Old Town, there is a house in the middle of a three-hectare, hilly garden, right next to the Wolski Forest. Domek Samotnia is a former writers' corner, where Roman Husarski wrote, but also his friend Stanisław Lem, who created his first part of the "Undefined Time" trilogy - "Szpital Przemienienia". There are many sculptures and works of art by Helena and Roman Husarski in the area, which can be seen both in the guesthouse and in the garden. Also, the Last Supper reconstructed in 2010. The creators left good energy here. We know that love for nature and fascination with art interpenetrate, resonating positively. Wojciech Nowicki (writer, essayist and culinary critic), who was delighted with our homemade cheesecake, describes the space surrounding the guest house and Domek Samotnia in this way: "The area is undulating because it is the Vistula ice-marginal valley. Quiet, quiet, though only a few kilometres from the city. Opposite the villa, an orchard, with edible chestnuts in it, everything here is vast, every step a new landscape emerges from somewhere. " (A piece of land and a house. Artists' solitude ...). The nature and space in which Ekosamotnia is located have inspired contemplation, tranquillity and creative work for many years. We invite you.

It's my turn... I have the great pleasure of running this beautiful and intimate guesthouse, which was given a new life in 2013 by my parents. Of course, they are still doing everything to make life better around and for the place not to lose its shine. Ekosamotnia is a building commemorating the work of the late Helena and Roman Husarski, where you will find a lot of unconventional works - giving the interiors an extraordinary atmosphere. In addition, we are filled with love for animals and nature. We run an Ecological Farm and we happily use our own fruit/vegetables in our tasty cuisine. Every now and then we make seasonal preserves or bread. In the autumn we are proud of our chestnut orchard - I assure you that the chestnut cake is delicious :) We want to share our forest, unusual paradise on earth with you, we invite you!

Domek Samotnia is a tiny building with an area of 60 m2. It has an equipped kitchen with a balcony, a living room (with a double sofa bed) and a toilet, and a spiral staircase leads to the first floor to the bedroom (double bed) and bathroom. There is a gazebo next to the building. The house is perfect for a couple, but two friendly couples will also find each other! There is a small fenced area around the building, perfect for dogs. You can come here with your beloved pet, and not just one. Virtual walk (from the terrace): https://tiny.pl/dqht7

What will I eat?

Our farm is the only one in Krakow that has an ecological certificate. We offer products from our own farms, eggs from happy, free-range, green-legged hens. Residents of the cottage who do not like cooking are welcome to have lunch and dinner in our dining room in the guesthouse - if available. You will also eat your ordered breakfast there. The menu includes: zucchini cream, tomato cream or broccoli cream with roasted almonds. For the second course, you can order, among others: pork chop, grilled chicken with dried tomatoes, feta cheese and roasted potatoes, or homemade dumplings. It is worth asking what we have prepared that day. We also have bread straight from the oven and our own baked goods! We also prepare vegetarian and vegan dishes. NOTE: The guesthouse is closed from December to March.

In the huge garden and orchard there are two gazebos, a pond, a bridge, a boat, benches with a table, hammocks, deckchairs, places for a bonfire, and a playground nearby. Here you can walk as much as you want, play sports, organize bike tours, meditate, rest and do whatever you want. The entire space is located in the Bielańsko-Tyniecki Landscape Park and lies on a hill overlooking Krakow. The garden itself, connected to the orchard, is adjacent to the forest, so you can meet rare species of birds, squirrels, roe deer, and recently even foxes! The Krakow Zoo is not far from here, also close to the Kościuszko Mound and the Camaldolese Monastery on Srebrna Góra. We have a permanent art exhibition in the guesthouse - over half a thousand works, mainly ceramics and sculptures, but also paintings and sketches. There is something to watch!

Jeśli szukasz magii, to tam ją właśnie znajdziesz. Pani gospodarz nie poznałem osobiście, ale w rozmowie przez telefon. Jest bardzo troskliwa i przesympatyczna. :)
