It's time to close your eyes and move to the old Polish estate on the Bug river. After opening your eye, the dream becomes a reality, and in the beautiful garden, the old parsonage is painted like watercolours from the nearby village of Neple, and the 100-year-old wooden school building, which lives its second, colourful life on the Bug River. Through the baroque portico, you will enter the house where time has stood still and hospitality is invariably blooming. In old Polish interiors with slow-food cuisine, you eat a bit too much, lie on the grass with a book, canoe down the Bug river, go for a walk and have interesting conversations with the hosts. Children play in the garden, a few people lie by the pool, meat is aged in the attic, and in a backwater pantry, there are marinades of zucchini and beetroot, pickled mushrooms, jam from Antonovka and dusty bottles of wine.
Meet a place on the edge of everything. On the edge of the village of Borsuki, on the edge of Mazovia and Podlasie Provinces, near the Polish-Belarusian border, in the Podlasie Bug Gorge Landscape Park. There are no signposts here, only a smell and a magical atmosphere to which people are drawn to like bees to honey.
A tip from us: do not ask for the WiFi password, it is completely unnecessary here. Better go for a walk by the Bug River, take part in culinary workshops, lose yourself in the pristine, Bug River nature and turn on the slow-motion mode.
Not in a hotel or a typical guesthouse. It is a place that we have created with heart, we love hosting, and now we share our cordiality with you, as befits old Polish hospitality. The mansion consists of two independent buildings. The first is the old presbytery, Zaścianek, which now houses apartments for families with children. The main building - the Manor House is a hundred-year-old school that was moved to the Bug River areas, and now it beats the heart of the house.
Humming trees, birds that give themselves no respite in the rehearsals of the bird choir, a rich vegetable garden and plenty of space to rest - this is what the surroundings of Zaścianka look like.
There are 23 rooms at your disposal in two old Polish houses - Dwór and Zaścianek, only 100 meters apart. In total, we can provide accommodation for 65 people.
Choose from 3 apartments, single and double rooms, a triple and quadruple studio and a quadruple room. The decor of all interiors was carefully developed by our hostess Ela. It is a bit like in an old Polish manor, and certainly at home. Our new rooms in the Orangery are part of the Manor, where you will find spacious rooms combining tradition and modernity. Throughout the house you will find the effects of the work of artists who, inspired by the idyllic landscapes of Podlasie, created their art during painting and photo plein-airs. In the Manor you will also find an extremely cozy dining room with a sideboard like at grandma's. This room is available to guests all day long.
The rooms are equipped with:

- a bathroom with a shower cabin and a set of cosmetics,
- a hair dryer,
- a set of bath towels,
- mineral water.
In the area of the Manor, the free Wi-Fi network is blowing along with the wind.
Pets are welcome with us. Keep in mind that our smart female Teksa can run in the yard.
You have at your disposal: an outdoor swimming pool, darts, roulette, bulls, badminton, sports bows, bicycles, Nordic walking sticks, volleyball and badminton courts, a trampoline and a playground for children.
We love to cook in Polish, pretending nothing, not turning towards enhancers, half-measures and semi-finished products. Our efforts have been appreciated by the Slow Food Polska organization and we have been entered on the Mazowsze Culinary Heritage list. It sounds proud!
The kitchen of Dwór Zaścianek is famous for home-made cold cuts, delicious bread, excellent dumplings, mysterious tinctures, venison, meats and cold cuts, which we make ourselves according to old recipes passed down from generation to generation. We cook seasonally, in the garden, smoked, flour and potatoes. In our garden you will find: tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, lettuce, radishes, carrots, parsley, sorrel, spinach, arugula, onions, kohlrabi, black turnips, broad beans.
We make meats and cold cuts ourselves from scratch, so we know that the best quality is behind them. We smoke in two ways: hot and cold.
Along with the spring floods, pike, bream, tench and other fish from the Bug, brought from local fishermen, appear on our tables. For this warm, crispy bread, which we prepare according to grandma's recipes.
We serve breakfasts in the form of a Swedish buffet, so that you can try as many delicious local products as possible. We immediately warn you that it is worth booking a stay with full board, because dinner is a real debauchery. Gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan can count on a real feast here.
What is that not! With us, boredom goes into oblivion, just like the Internet, phones, tablets and the sense of duty. The area of Zaścianek is shady, lush green and really vast. You can lie down on a blanket with a book, cool down in the swimming pool in the summer season, and sew in a Russian banya on cool evenings.
There are so many attractions for active people that you better book a longer stay. You can go on a bicycle trip in the footsteps of the Bug River manors, admiring the nature of the landscape park. It is worth starting the mornings with a run or a half-marathon in the nearby forest.
Quite close you can hear the hoofbeats of the most beautiful horses in Poland. The Janów Podlaski Stud is a star in its category. Plan your visit around 4:00 PM, because that's when the horses return to their stables.
Each season on the Bug River has its golden moments. In winter, we love to organize sleigh rides singing about falcons and highlander horses. Instead of running, we choose cross-country skiing, and we change picnics on the grass for evenings by the fireplace. When the steam rises from the mouth, the lawn is covered with frost, we organize a party that officially starts the "bubble" time. Get your hats and good moods and we'll do the rest.
In January, it is worth coming to us for some Orthodox culture and rituals. Have you heard about the Jordan festival? It is an Orthodox holiday, also known as the Baptism of the Lord. It is one of the 12 great holidays in the Orthodox Church. On that day, the rivers that flow near the church turn into the proverbial Jordan, and the water that flows in them is blessed. It is definitely worth going to the town of Gródek to see this unusual event.
Regardless of the weather, at your disposal is a shingled barbecue hut, designed in the style of an old inn.
Every year, we organize over a dozen thematic events, such as culinary workshops, concerts, the "Szlakiem Nadbużańskich Dwory" bike rally, the most delicious themed weekends such as: asparagus and wine, cherry or mushroom weekend.
What else instead of boredom?
- for water lovers definitely canoe on the Bug River
- catamaran and river boat cruises are a great opportunity to get to know the wild side of the lazy Bug and its inhabitants.
- carriage rides along the Bug River routes. We will provide you with a basket with drinks and a little something to eat. If you decide to go night skiing, we'll take torches with us.
- fishing on one of the few rivers in Europe whose bed is not regulated. Every fishing enthusiast will find something for himself: roach, bream, carp, pike, catfish, chub, perch, bleak and zander.
- on selected days and on request, we organize fitness classes, as well as yoga with instructors.
bicycles - we have bicycles for you and specially prepared maps with bicycle routes.
- Nordic walking - each stick has two ends, and these also have muscle-activating properties.
- mushroom picking, i.e. hunting with a basket for porcini mushrooms, chanterelles, kites, red mushrooms.
We love little ones and big ones, so there will be plenty of attractions for them in Zaścianek. We know from experience that happy kids are happy parents. Little nobles will always find a way to stop boredom, and they can hide from the world among the nooks and crannies of our garden. Lots of grass for running and ball games, a playground with a slide and sandbox, a chalk board, a trampoline and of course the biggest holiday hit, the swimming pool. In winter, it's time for sleds, skates, and walks to the river. Then it's time for delicious pancakes with cheese, tomato with noodles and cocoa for good night.
