This village, snuggled up to the lazy meandering Bug River, was once owned by the Ossoliński family and later found its way into the hands of Wanda Potocka. It's no wonder the aristocrats liked this place so much. Asphalt and tourists still do not know about Głody, the Krossbużan cows cross the river like the holy waters of the Nile, and the hosts offer a rich cottage. A holistic approach to relaxation includes adults looking for relaxation, nature and natural flavors. There are 5 rooms, for 12 calm, adult souls. Behind the fence is the Bug river, and the neighbourhood is good for walks. There is only one road in Głody and it comes full circle. You can go without a Google map, it is impossible to get lost.
We invite you. Press the "stop" button as soon as you arrive.
The interiors are decorated in bright colors and a modern, cozy style.
We have prepared 5 rooms for a total of 12 people.
- 4 double rooms with a large double bed in each.
- 1 double room with two double beds.
We have soft pillows, and in each room you will find fresh towels, a mini set of cosmetics, water and something to sweeten your spirit. There are small fridges, a kettle, coffee and tea. All rooms have private bathrooms with a shower, towels and clothes dryers.
The rooms are designed for quietness, so you won't find any TVs in them. There is one TV in the common living room, so if you can't miss any episode of Klan or Na Wspólnej, we invite you to the sofa.
In addition, expect a rope swing perfect for reading, comfortable sofas, a jacuzzi, deckchairs, hammocks, a table in the garden with a view of the Bug River,
As befits a dietitian, we feed healthy and locally. We know what, where and how in the area, so we buy cheeses and meats from Mrs. Grażynka-Dażynka, who is a specialist in rennet cheeses, pâtés and hams. We also have a specialist in honey, and for vegetables and fruits we go to the market or buy personally from farmers. We serve breakfast in the form of a rich buffet, and one of our guests said that "he felt like a child on Christmas", such a choice. Our shakshuka, blackcurrant jam with ginger and the world's best cherry jam are very popular.
Głody is a tiny village that doesn't even have asphalt (owners of sports cars, keep that in mind), so you don't get here by accident. More than parties and wild dances, we focus on meditation, yoga, walks, sunbathing, evenings by the fire and a homely atmosphere. This is why guests come to us. For peace of mind, blissful relaxation and cut off from reality.
Getting to know Podlasie from the water is a great experience, therefore we recommend kayaking from Drohiczyn or Nur. Amazing, untouched nature, meadows and forests shrouded in mist, crisp air with the smell of grass, hay and pines, squat apple orchards, wooden mansions and villages hugging the lazily winding Bug River. It's worth seeing, it's worth experiencing.
Park your car and save yourself the exhaust fumes. Change to the bikes that are waiting for you on the spot and venture into the narrowest and most bumpy roads of Podlasie, because magic awaits you there - a road trip along the Bug River. Walking routes along the river are as romantic as climbing the Eiffel Tower, so lovers should be interested.
Cool down in the water in the summer. On the lazily flowing Bug (the beach can be found, for example, in Drohiczyn and Mielnik) or the lagoon in Ciechanowiec or Siemiatycze: where you can sunbathe, paddle boat or kayak. For those looking for intimacy and the wild side of the Bug, we have a treat. A few hundred meters from us there is an oxbow lake, where, with the right water level, a beautiful and totally intimate beach appears. Watch out for the floating cows on the riverside, which also sometimes take a bath. The view really knocks you off your feet.
On site, of course, the mode of slowing down and phlegmatic triumphs. You can lie on a lounger and stare at the current for hours. You can hide from the sun under the grape gazebo at the back of the house and spend time there as well. We have board games, a library with books and lots of mushrooms in the neighboring forest. Everything you could want on a holiday in the countryside. You don't need anything else.
What’s there for children?
We are a holistic agritourism farm friendly to adults looking for peace, respite and tasty food.
This means tourism without children (up to 16 years old). In other words, we run a Podlasie oasis of silence and relaxation for parents and children without children. It's nice to sleep in until noon from time to time, or not get up at all, drink moonshine from the neighbor over the fence and not listen to why children are so quiet because it's suspicious or so loud because it's not good either.
*The only exception is our four-year-old child :D
