You can expect extraordinary things in the northernmost Mediterranean outpost, right between Lake Probarskie and Wągiel. We have a music and art house here, with a lot of ecology in it, a strong emphasis on siesta and time for a good appetite. If you add salsa and merengue to it - you'll get something you don't see every day.
We have geese, ducks and a really nice terrace here. Sometimes it's time for a hay bath, sometimes for soaking your body in warm whey - the local SPA draws on folk wisdom. A bouquet of wildflowers is brought from the walk, and young potatoes are baked in the evening.
Come to a place where there is no chance of starvation - like at a classic grandma's house. You will find the ingredients of the dishes in the immediate area, and at lunch, you will be accompanied by music and works of art.
Drop in from late April to late October. Then we have a siesta...

Jakub's original cuisine is our pride, because we know that it brings you joy. We prepare dishes from natural and fresh products, mostly from our own eco garden, season them with aromatic herbs, also those growing wild in the nearby meadows.
The meals are served in the dining room-gallery, surrounded by sculptures, paintings and installations, you can taste the art of meat and modern art. We can assure you that both senses and stomachs will be saturated.
We compose breakfasts with cottage cheese with chives, parsley, thyme and a plate of cheeses, vegetables from our garden, regional cold cuts, eggs straight from the hen house, homemade preserves and fresh, fragrant bread.
2 x a week in the evening by candlelight, we offer our guests a warm 3-course dinner. We are happy to prepare vegetarian meals. Everything to the accompaniment of various music played by Krzysztof.
Our specialties are:
Goat from the oven in thyme, duck and goose in the style of Jacob, the most ordinary minced cutlets, soup from wild sorrel harvested in the surrounding meadows, mushroom soup, cabbage soup made from your own sauerkraut, beetroot with leaves straight from the garden and varied vegetarian cuisine. We make pesto from various weeds, vegetable patties, delicious salads, fresh crispy carrots ...
Finish the evening meal with a dessert - homemade sorbet, fresh cake, yoghurt or fruit.
During cool evenings, you can warm up by the fireplace.
Once a week, weather permitting, we organize a bonfire with sausages, baked potatoes and stars overhead.
Boredom is a pejorative term, we prefer to call what is happening in Jakubów respite, relaxation, rest, an eternal siesta. It looks like this, that after a morning coffee with daily newspapers on the terrace, you can jump on a bicycle and plan a trip to the nearby lakes. Pobarskie (2 km), Kuc (3.5 km) or Wągiel (1.2 km) are not right under your nose, so two or four wheels will be the best solution. Once a week you can count on a filling dinner and dessert, and later the evening can only be more pleasant. The music served by Krzysztof encourages integration. Maybe someone will get off to a crazy dance, then we will light a fire, throw potatoes to be devoured by the flames and plunge into passionate conversations about art, life, travel and God knows what else.
Fans of active leisure, we offer hiking, horse-drawn carriage or cart rides, bicycle trips, canoeing, playing tennis on the nearby courts. For amateurs of stronger experiences, we recommend chopping wood with an ax, and for others, playing billiards, ping pong, and table football.
We recommend trips to:
- museum in the arcaded cottage at "Oberza pod psem" in Kadzidłów
-the park of wild animals in Kadziłłów,
- the castle in Reszel and Ryn
- Sorkwit with a beautiful church by the lake,
- St. Lipki with an interesting basilica.
At the end of September and the beginning of October, we will be happy to show you places for the sejmiks of cranes. It is a great sight to see thousands of incoming cranes with countless motives for photographers.
What’s there for children?
In Jakubów, we have not yet encountered the phenomenon of boredom in children. They have a field, a meadow, a gravel pit and a garden to show off here. They can feed ducks and geese, learn how potatoes bloom and taste fresh mint straight from the bush, then go to the huge sandbox, the old gravel pit, or ride their parents' bikes to the lake. The range of possibilities is endless, and the day is only 24 hours. Sleep, however, cannot wait, especially after such an intense day. Emotions make children go to bed with chickens or are put to sleep by the heat of a fire. Everything in line with the natural rhythm of the day.
