On the road leading to Jasna Dolina, you can already feel like time is moving backwards. By the time you get to the door, you will be in a different era. The first associations are Pan Tadeusz and the old, forgotten, noble world. The associations are right.
The wooden manor house was built in 1856 in the small village of Kunów in the Świętokrzyskie Mountains. More than 100 years later, Professor Krzysztof Henryk Żmijewski, who worked in a rare technique - was a wood technologist, came to the decaying building. It is not surprising then that he was enchanted by the beautiful manor house built of logs. He decided to move the building to Sobolew, where he worked on restoring it to its former glory. The interiors have been restored taking care not to let the spirit of bygone days escape from them. So there is a real stove in the kitchen, wooden carved furniture and lots of antiques accumulated over the years. His children took over the professor's passion - today they want to share this place with those who, like them, appreciate the atmosphere of a house with a long history.
Years later, his younger brother, Dom Kryty Strzechą, built in the interwar period, was built next to the Manor. It is a building arranged from an old cottage belonging to the Andrzejewski family - the former owners of the estate. Renovation and thatched roofing restored its historical flair.
