Above the buildings on the top of Lanckorońska Mountain, Villa Leśny Ogród, also known as Willa pod Blachą, has been on the map for over 90 years. It has seen many things in its life, and its creaky floors, mysterious tower and bizarre roof testify to a friendly, though slightly eccentric temperament. Before it came into our hands, in the 1970s it was used as a holiday home for employees of the Krakow Foundry Machines Factory and hosted camp groups.
After many renovations and restoration of a few historical elements, we have created a quiet place here, which greets guests with the "Omm" sign, jazz sounds, the smell of wood and the magic of Lanckorońska Góra shrouded in legends. We serve vegetarian dishes and good words. We host yoga groups, bookworms, walkers, artists and "Lanckorona initiators" - people for whom TV and radio are irrelevant.
It seems that our guests love days without a plan the most, when they do whatever pops into their head. They hang out, for example, in the living room with a fireplace, where good conversations are remembered for a long time. We invite local artists to our home gallery, meditate in the exercise room and admire the panorama of the mountains, and we give good energy during an Ayurvedic massage. Our dog, Aleks, is recommended for joint walks in the area - a walker and a pet. Mutual happiness guaranteed.
This is how it is with us. A little spiritual, a little heavenly, artistic and with lots of time for yourself.
NOTE: In winter, please check the road conditions of the access road to the guesthouse. Leśny Ogród is located on the top of Lanckorońska Mountain and sometimes, in the case of heavy snow or ice, we recommend leaving the car in the parking lot by the church.
In an absolutely magical house on a mountain top, next to the castle ruins. Initially, it was supposed to be a place for yoga and spiritual development workshops, and devotees of asana and silent meditation really feel comfortable here. But not only - we are also praised by cyclists, hikers and all those who want to take a break from the city's gears. Groups for yoga workshops still come to us, but more often they are artists, Lanckorona lovers and eco-travelers. It turns out that with the symbol Om at the entrance, you can also run a guesthouse for everyone. It smells like incense, the wooden floor makes itself felt, the view knocks you on your knees, and we invite you to an Ayurvedic massage and romantic candlelight dinners.
We have 5 rooms for you, a fireplace room with a panoramic view of the mountains, a dining room, a fully equipped kitchen for guests, yoga equipment. There is a home Forest Art Gallery, Ayurvedic massage parlor and a holiday cafe.

We cook with love for animals, so veg reigns. Our kitchen is completely meatless, but if you especially love meat, let me know. We will prepare special, delicious and healthy substitutes. We serve breakfasts and dinners. In summer, we go crazy with colors and aromas. Every day there is something different that just fell into our hands. Aromatic gaspacho, cherry dumplings, green salad, sweet and savory pancakes, tiramisu and much more. We have Belgian beers and delicious lemonades.
In autumn, we collect buttermilk, which land on plates, bake a carrot cake and share the recipe for it.
This year's winter menu includes:
- aromatic red lentil soup
- warming cucumber soup
- red borscht with lentil patties or mushrooms
- Kashotto with smoked tofu and celery
In Leśny Ogrod you can buy a bottle of good wine or beer. Ask for a card. It is not possible to consume your own alcohol.
Please order meals one day in advance. You can submit individual dietary demands (vegan version, gluten, allergies, etc.).
The Forest Garden is a place for people sensitive to animal rights issues. If you are not a vegetarian and wish to use meat in our communal guest kitchen, please refrain from cooking, frying and baking meat products.
You come here and time starts to flow differently, slower, stress-free. You can spend these extra hours during the day practicing yoga, meditate, eat cake by the fireplace, read and walk. In the home library, we have a good English-language part - mainly novels, coaching positions and personal development. The Polish section will also include novels, reportage and a shelf with personal development, cooking, yoga and Ayurveda.
On site, you can take advantage of culinary workshops, ceramic workshops and Nordic walking. We cannot fail to mention the massages. I am an Ayurvedic therapist, I offer massages and consultations. Abhyanga massage covers the whole body, also head and hair, if there are no individual contraindications.
Lanckorona is famous for its unique cultural events. That is why we also try to actively participate in the life of the Lanckorona community and be part of such events as, for example, "Lanckorona Romantyczna", "Rok w Lanckorona", "Guitar Workshops in Lanckorona". Most often, we simply participate in creating the program, offering space for various attractions in our guesthouse. We organize vernissages in our home Leśny Ogród Gallery, we provide space for workshops or open-air painting. We recommend visiting the FB pages of these events to integrate with the trip program into the rich cultural life of our village.
In the summer, guests hang out in the Forest Garden cafe. We spread tables on the terrace on Saturdays and Sundays from the beginning of May to the end of September. We open when the sun is shining or when it's raining. We do not open when it is pouring, blowing and blocking.
In the fall, take the mushroom basket, beware - butterflies jump into the basket by themselves. It is enough to go for a little walk, you don't even have to stray from the path. While walking in rainy weather along the Alleys of Lovers and Silent Whispers, you can meet face to face with the Spotted Salamander.
Lanckorona is also a good starting point for trips - to Beskid Makowski, Dróżki Kalwaryjskie, to Wadowice and Kraków.
Babia Góra is an obligatory hiking destination. 1,725 meters above sea level, a capricious microclimate, an ocean of berries, forest approaches with various levels of difficulty and unforgettable cross-border panoramas from the top - Babia Góra is one of the most valuable tourist attractions in the region. When planning a trip from Lanckorona, you should take into account the need to drive approx. 50 km to enter one of the routes.
In winter, Lanckorona delights and you do not need to convince anyone about it. But the fact that it is also a place for winter sports enthusiasts is worth talking about. Until recently, we were famous only for wonderful toboggan hills, walks in winter scenery and hot chocolate in cafes. Now, we also invite you to the slope to the real Szklana Góra ski station in Harbutowice. There is a ski school, a rental and an inn on site.
In Leśny Ogrod waiting for you on duty sledges and the best hill in the area.
What’s there for children?
In the wooden villa you can hear every step, so nothing can hide. Even a whisper of boredom will come out, and we have ways of doing that. Coloring books, drawings in the creative corner will stimulate the imagination, and the books from the library will take children to the magical world of literature. Our entertainment is disconnected from electricity. You can discover the secrets of a medieval castle, swing high into the sky on a swing and plunge into the forest world.
