By the old riverbed of the Narew, there is a place where trees rustle beautifully, the air smells of the forest, and moose may cross your path. Here, during World War II, was the border between the General Government and the Third Reich. Here it is worth forgetting about the rush, repeating in your head the mantra "I don't have to do anything", put on your waders, arm yourself with binoculars and peep at nature without filters.
Admittedly, after a storm, there may be no electricity, dogs bark, birds give concerts on nearby branches in the morning, there are mosquitoes, sometimes flies, but it is still wonderful. A titmouse has made its nest quite near the terrace, a hooting owl patrols the neighbourhood at night, and the air smells of pine trees. In the morning you must sit on the terrace with a cup of coffee and a book, in the afternoon you can eat in a hammock or on the grass and look at the swaying trees. Evenings invite you to light a fireplace or a barbecue.
It is worth going to this forest garden even for a weekend because everything is just a stone's throw from Warsaw, and the house is exclusively shrouded in holy peace.
We are giving you the keys to a three-level house with a terrace and almost 1,000 square meters of plot located in a pine forest.
We made four double beds for you (one double bed and three fold-out sofas), so we can accommodate up to 8 people. If you need to place the youngest family member in a baby cot, let us know - we will prepare it for you.
At the very top, on the top floor, there is a bedroom with a double bed - you have to climb up, but you have peace and some privacy.
On the middle floor there is a living room with a sofa bed and a bathroom with a shower (with a high shower tray where you can easily bathe your children). We have prepared towels, cosmetics and a hairdryer in the bathroom so that you can lighten your luggage. From the living room you can go out to a large covered terrace, which we have equipped with a lounge set where you can take a nap, read a book, listen to the forest or listen to another person over a cup of coffee.
There are steep stairs between the floors, so be careful with the little ones!
At the lowest level there is a kitchen (with a small sink, so it is more convenient to use the dishwasher), a dining room with an emergency sofa and a hanging armchair. We also have a room with a fold-out bed, a chess table and a huge terrace window that allows direct access to the forest garden, making organizing a picnic on the grass even easier.
Your dogs (in any quantity) will be safe with us because the entire plot is fenced and what's better - you can't dig a hole that easily! To keep the grass green so you can walk on it barefoot, we have provided a dog poop bin and ask you to clean up after your pets.
We also take care of your vehicles, there is a two-station shelter on the plot that protects against rain, snow and falling cones, branches and resin.
To make things not so perfect, we warn you that there are flies, mosquitoes and ticks here - just like in the forest. And there is no way they won't be there, so protect yourself with insect repellents and check your body after returning from walks so as not to bring any stowaways with you. One bedroom is adjacent to a hydrophore, which can be turned on at night if you use water at that time - it may be disturbing for light sleepers.
We also observe night silence and invite you inside after 10 p.m. for loud conversations.
We encourage you to bring your own Master Chef, as we don't cook. We provide a fully equipped kitchen where you can prepare your favorite meals. There's a hob, kettle, dishwasher, toaster, and even an Italian coffee maker for those who can't imagine a day without the aroma and taste of coffee.
If you're a "don't eat just anything" type of person and value shopping directly from producers, there are farms nearby where you can stock up on fresh vegetables, fruit, and eggs. Also nearby (3.5 km) is a Mangalica farm – a pork whose flavor was praised by Gordon Ramsay (the animals don't live in cages; they are raised exclusively free-range, which translates into higher quality and flavor). Currently, only half-carcasses are available for purchase, with slaughtering only once or twice a year. Nearby Legionowo hosts a real market three times a week, attracting farmers from across the province.
Gluten lovers will be happy to visit the nearby pizzerias – there are several, some of which are even pet-friendly.
Every Sunday, you can also enjoy a family brunch at the nearby Riviera restaurant. We also offer food delivery (sushi, burgers, pizza), and there are grocery stores nearby.
A slow-paced relaxation option includes: reading a book in a hanging chair or hammock, breakfast on the terrace, organizing a picnic on a blanket, playing chess at the chess table, and spending the evening by the fireplace or grilling.
We also have something incredibly relaxing. We've partnered with a masseuse and reflexologist. Katarzyna offers massages at our cottage. She also organizes anti-stress workshops, which can be a fun way to spend an evening.
Active guests can choose from hiking, Nordic walking, cycling, sunbathing, fishing, kayaking, bunker climbing in nearby Janówek, horseback riding, and even sailing.
Water lovers, swimmers, and sunbathers have surely heard of the nearby Zegrze Reservoir and its beach in Nieporęt (which is packed with beachgoers in summer). You can also rent equipment for all kinds of water sports there. If you prefer a more intimate atmosphere, the beach in Wieliszew (8 km) is an interesting alternative. If you're into extreme sports, thrills await in nearby Trzciany. There, you'll find a water ski lift with equipment rentals. If you don't want to share the riverbank with anyone, there are many unspoiled beaches along the Narew River. We have tried and tested spots and are happy to share them.
During our stay at the cottages, our guests can rent four modern, electric MTB bikes: GIANT Talon and RAYMON HardRay. Rental costs are just 150 PLN per bike for the entire stay, regardless of the length. This is a great opportunity to quickly and ecologically explore the local attractions and explore over 100 kilometers of beautiful cycling trails winding through the Wieliszew commune.
We offer four bikes in sizes S, M, XL, and XXL. The approximate range of each bike on a single charge is over 100 km, and the maximum speed is 25 km/h. We can't guarantee that electric bikes will always be available; they're available on a first-come, first-served basis. Therefore, if you want to be sure to use them, it's best to arrange this option when booking your cottage.
For those seeking new experiences and wanting to try something unique, we have an even more interesting offer: we offer rentals of modern, license-free electric motorboats and sailboats at Zegrze Reservoir. You can choose from the 8-person, fully electric, eco-friendly Quicksilver 705 Active Weekend yacht and the 8-person Maxus 24 EVO sailboat from the renowned Polish shipyard Northman, equipped with a powerful, eco-friendly Torqeedo Travel XP electric motor.
If you love wildlife, you won't be disappointed. In the nearby forests, you can easily spot numerous roe deer, wild boars, foxes, hares, hedgehogs, and even moose. You can also don the free waders (men's and women's sizes) and head out with binoculars to the nearby Narew River's oxbow lakes and marshes for an even closer experience. The surrounding area is home to numerous bird species (including Great Tits, Collared Ducks, Robins, Linnets, Owls, Storks, Herons, Buzzards, Jays, and Nightingales). The pleasant sound of birdsong can be heard constantly from dawn to dusk. The bird concerts are at their loudest in spring and summer; just settle into a hammock and listen intently.
In nearby Łajskie, there's a free outdoor tennis court (you just need to make an appointment and bring your own equipment). You can also visit the family rope parks in Pomiechówek and Jachranka. In Pomiechówek, there's a complex with a nature trail, a rope park, and a beach – the Wkra Valley Park.
Three tourist and patriotic trails with a total length of 160 km have been designated in the Wieliszew commune, and are best explored by bike. The routes have been designed to satisfy both history enthusiasts and nature lovers. In addition, there are approximately 100 km of designated cycling routes. Three adult bikes are available for your use, one of which has a child seat for children up to 20 kg.
In the fall, the Villages' Social and Cultural Activity Festival takes place, where you can listen to local legends and sample regional cuisine. The festival rotates annually in a different town in the Legionowo County. The Goose Festival in Legionowo (with its mini-town of old crafts) and ProgRockFest are also worth visiting, proving that rock music is more than just guitar playing. Here, you can hear music beyond the front pages of glossy newspapers or television charts.
Children are very welcome, although we don't really see them much, because they disappear among the trees for days. They spend hours following the routes of ants, watching birds and ever-busy squirrels jumping between trees. The favorite resting place of the little ones is the hammock - it is in it that further play plans are devised.
Walking around the area, you may encounter grazing cows and horses that are friendly and never despise fresh carrots. If you feel like a short trip, there is Dynioland with Smyków Farm about 9 km from us. As the owners describe, the goal of their activity is to shape nutritional awareness and promote a healthy lifestyle. In addition, yoga and meditation classes are held here regularly for the elderly.
We also prepared badminton, blocks and games for the whole family. And just over a kilometer away there is a playground with houses, slides, swings and climbing frames.
The house has a cot, a highchair and a changing table, and a high paddling pool will facilitate bathing.
However, if you are looking for something sewn especially for families with children, we have created a second home - Masuria Warsaw Family. The cottage is located in the same village, but closer to the river and lake. Blackberries and wild strawberries grow on the plot. In the house you will find comfortable stairs with safety railings, a stationary cot, a children's corner with a lot of toys. In addition to a high chair, a changing table, a podściku, there is also a bathtub, a rocker, and a sensory mat. There is a cottage and a place for hammocks in the garden.
For those who come to us for a longer period of time, we decided to create a comfortable place to work. We placed a solid wooden desk and a swivel chair in the living room. So that you can work comfortably without losing sight of the fireplace and trees. The Internet works well and has already handled many teleconferences.
