Welcome to our fairy tale. Here, in a land far, far away, there is a cottage in the Masovian countryside. It’s as small as a house for dwarfs, as cute as Pooh Bear, but totally real. It’s the fulfilment of our dream to build a place for resting away from the hustle and bustle, close to nature, but close to everywhere at the same time, a desert island with a green oasis with a unique name. This one needed some thought and so we came up with the exotic-sounding name Nayabaya which is a combination of the Japanese barn "naya" and the fairy-tale "baya" climate.
We offer Scandinavian style, modern barn architecture, mezzanine bedroom and Norwegian cast iron wood stove for autumn evenings for seekers of sweet laziness. We believe that each of us needs to get away from everything sometimes. We recommend hopping into the bathtub at sunset, lighting a bonfire surrounded by darkness, the rustle of the tall willows, chilling in a place that’s illuminated by stars at night, and waking up in the morning with the sun shining.
We want to invite you to the land of doing nothing. Our friends, acquaintances and strangers. After all, is there anyone who would not like to have the morning coffee surrounded by deer and the wild?
In a place where hares are neighbors, and the view from the window shines with the colors of each season. What you can count on is, above all, peace, quiet and the wind dancing through the grain. The "yard" around the cottage is over 3/4 ha of meadows, fields and trees.
The wooden house (35 m2) is situated on the border of an apple orchard and a floodplain with old willow trees. There is an old wooden barn at the entrance, which separates our 'rural' oasis from the local road. The nearest inhabited buildings are a few hundred meters away, and the nearest village is over a kilometer away. You are assured of intimacy, and also of cosiness.
Scandinavian naya is designed for 4 people. At your disposal is:
- a spacious living room with a Norwegian cast iron stove and a sofa bed for two people,
- a fully equipped kitchen,
- comfortable bathroom with a bathtub,
- mezzanine with a double bed,
- a large terrace from which you can admire the sunsets.
In addition, there is a place for a barbecue and a bonfire with the necessary accessories and a professional telescope for watching the stars. The beauty of nature for free.
Come with your pets, but take into account that we are not separated from the surroundings, so you must keep an eye on the dogs.
We try to have a good (or at least not so bad) impact on the environment:
- we do not iron bedding to save electricity
- we conduct a full segregation of rubbish
- we do not chemically purify water (we have our own source, from which the water is slightly yellow, because it is rich in manganese and iron ions)
- we provide our guests with ecological cosmetics of the Polish company YOPE (we do not provide small "samples" of cosmetics, we refill large reusable bottles).
Unfortunately, the gastronomic offer in the immediate vicinity is not very interesting. However, in Długosiodło, which is 10 minutes by car from the house, there is a "Motorcycle Pub Sokół 1000" with tasty "Polish" pizza. But a really recommendable place is located 20 km from the cottage, by the Jegiel fishery. Their own fry shop is a sure source of fresh and really tasty fish. This is our Masuria in Mazovia.
The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, you can confidently cook dinner, prepare breakfast and have dinner on the terrace.
The nearest shop (well equipped) is 4 km from the cottage.
Our biggest attraction is the lack of attractions, because Nayabaya was made for doing nothing. When it rains, we get bored or we put on rubber boots, we walk in the meadows and get wet. We light a fire in a goat, play board games, devise a plan to take over the world, practice naps and give ourselves time to rest.
Canoeing trips are organized in the area, you can go to the river (Narew on one side, Bug on the other), and mushroom picking is a must in autumn (the well-known forests of Wyszków are full of mushrooms). There are also a lot of forest bike routes. In winter, sleigh rides are organized in the nearby town.
In summer we get drunk with the lush green grass, chillout on a hammock and unearthly red sunset.
There are squares and parks with benches and flower beds in the city. We can boast of the Dark Sky Park. Thanks to the distance from large agglomerations, Nayabaya is bathed in absolute darkness at night. On a cloudless night over the house there is a wonderful view of the starry sky. We advise you to spread a blanket on the grass and admire the constellations, planets and comets. Note - the view is breathtaking. We reassure the enthusiasts of astronomy and watching the stars up close, in the house you will find a professional telescope with a brief instruction on how to read the sky (the telescope is available in the summer).
What’s there for children?
This is a place for creative heads. One in which children forget about TVs, tablets and electronic reality. The whole area around is one big playground, and sticks, grass, field flowers, pine cones and stones are toys. We don't have any specific "children's" attractions. Holidays with us are a time of carefree, boredom, walks, bonfires, coloring books, books and simple life in the countryside.
