Osada Ptaśnik

Translated automatically with Google Translate

After years of emigration, we returned to Poland and funny enough we chose its very extreme end. Pobiedna anywhere you turn would always be far away. From almost every perspective, this village lies at the end of the world. The only surroundings are a forest, mountains and the view of the Izerski Stóg and the Czech Republic. It is not difficult to reach us, because we live in the center of the village, the area is amazing. Nature, old houses, crowing roosters, and in winter the snow gets to your waist. It is worth investing in thermal underwear and having a warming homemade tincture or a drop of vinegar from our own fruit.

We recommend getting lost in Izerbaijan, because it is an amazing land full of passionate people. Most of them chose Izeria for a reason. They value its wildness and the freedom it offers, but they also have a healthy distance to each other and are a bit nuts. We identify with them.

In the Polish chapter of our lives, we have saved a historic forge with an almost 300-year-old logging room, we grow our own eco vegetables, experiment in the kitchen, share the house with guests, show our children what's important in life, we give home to animals and we live in a slower, Jizera zone time.

Through the ocean-colored door, you'll enter a cool stone floor and feel the spirit of time. The ground floor belongs to you - here there is only one 4-person apartment, and around the corner a cafe we create. We occupy the first floor of the house, but we do not close with seven drains. You can always climb for a chat, an evening with raspberry tart or borrow a board game. We invite you to the Jizera Mountains, where magic happens.
we have for you one apartment for 4 people in our historic property
mongrel Sonia, puppy Skrobek, kitty Gizela and guinea pig Helena invite companions to play
an orchard with old trees, shrubs with fruit and home vegetable garden
we serve home-made seasonal dishes from local products
in the heart of the Jizera Mountains - around the slopes, bike routes, markets with local food, cultural events and great people
we stay upstairs, you stay downstairs - what a bliss and symbiosis

Where will I sleep?

In the nearly 300-year-old log room, which is the oldest part of our Jizera house, which we tenderly restored to its former glory and it took us over a year. It`s been hard work and although a large part of the settlement is already beautiful and ready, there is still a lot ahead of us.

We have prepared...
for you one apartment (40m2) for 4 people, in which natural materials, blues, wood, stone, brick and home atmosphere - all of that is the key. We have one double bed and two single beds, there is also space for a travel cot. The summer kitchen adjacent to the room is divided into two parts. The first one is a tiny kitchenette equipped with a fridge, electric kettle and toaster, tea, coffee and sugar are also available. There is also a rescued bread wardrobe, which after removing the layers of oil paint, breathes full breasts and hides beautiful dishes on its shelves. In the second part of the room we have a shower room, where you will find towels, soap and a hair dryer. Note - hot water in the shower can be very hot!
For ecological reasons, we do not change towels to fresh automatically and regularly, so please report such need.

The apartment is located on the ground floor, which it shares with the small cafe we are organizing at the moment. We occupy the first floor of the house, but our door is open to you. Guests are happy to have meal at our table, and come for a chat over coffee, borrow books and board games from us, and the kids love to play around with our kids.

The house has an undeniable atmosphere, a soul and a piece of history hidden in the walls. During a crazy renovation, we ripped off the floors, uncovered old boards, painted in ocean blue, saved old furniture and explored local flea markets. We also use natural ingredients of local origin. Many wooden, stone and brick elements often come from recycling and get a second life from us, acting as furniture or finishing. We have a lot of forged elements because our house was a smithy in the past. Remember that the building is very old, so here and there the floor creaks and you can hear the footsteps of the inhabitants.

The settlement includes an orchard with old trees and a garden, where we grow organic vegetables.

Lighting a bonfire without our permission is prohibited.

Come with pets, we've got a nice bunch of them! However, please contact us in advance. Our thoroughbred mongrel Sonia, puppy Skrobek, pussy Gizela and guinea pig Helena are waiting for four-legged guests.

What will I eat?

Tasty, simple home cooking cooked by us for us and for you. We make delicious breakfasts and although we do not undertake the preparation of whole vegan breakfasts, vegetarian and meat options are always on the table. Dinners are another story. They can be vegetarian, vegan or with meat. Soup, main course,... dessert, coffee, tea and long digestion. We make silage ourselves, tinctures, jams, syrups, purees and sauces. Our basement is full of goodness.

For dinner, pizza, coconut soup with lentils, cauliflower curry, burgers and anything else we can think of.
In winter we will treat you with raspberry sauce, pickled beetroot, chokeberry juice and cough syrup, and throughout the year great desserts.

Our property includes an orchard with old trees and a garden, where we grow organic vegetables. We live in a raspberry-tomato paradise, so you will not miss it. Sometimes we have such a harvest that the we run out of jars, and even the tastiest currants come out sideways. Then we give the crops into good hands and we are happy that we can help others in need.

What will I do?

We are getting to know the area all the time and we have the impression that the attractions of the region never seem to end. Festivals, concerts, fairs with local products, castles, ski slopes, viewpoints, bicycle routes and hiking trails. Both enthusiasts of active recreation and supporters of leisurely... rest will have room to show off.

We often climb to the Izerski Stóg and enjoy the view of the Giant Mountains, which we highly recommend. You can also take a bike or put on protectors and go on the surrounding single-tracks, i.e. forest-mountain routes.

It is also worth taking a walk to the top of Kufel in Gierczyn because the Central Border Pole of Izerbaijan is proudly standing there. It is a symbol of freedom, independence, peace, goodness and openness set by us - the inhabitants. Its performer is Teo from the band Izerbaijan, and the initiator of the name Grzegorz Żak, Sorbian storyteller, bard, poet. In fact, it is not a border post, because it is not on the border, but in the center. Between mountains and foothills, with a phenomenal view of the Jizera Foothills and location away from everything. The pole fits the area perfectly.

In the vicinity of our house there are also:
- fields, meadows, forests,
- running routes - Run Track,
- cross-country ski runs,
- one of two Dark Sky Parks in Poland,
- several beautiful beaches and lakes,
- gondola lift in Świeradów-Zdrój,
- the palace in Pobiedna and the Mon Plaisir tower,
- castles: Czocha, Rajsko, Frydlant, Świecie, Lenno, Chojnik,
- Wolimierz station.
You can use the free bus to Świeradów-Zdrój - to the ski slopes and to Nove Mesto for bicycle routes. It is also possible to get transport in our car.

In the summer, the area is full of events, concerts and warm evenings. We wholeheartedly recommend the magical Festival of Local Folklore - Watchtower of Tradition at the Ducal Tower in Siedlęcin. The power of female voices, workshops, medieval games and plays, lectures, eco food and amazing energy of good people await.

Fans of some good rocking, pogo by the stage and positive vibrations are invited to the Izerbaijan Punk Eko Fest. It is a festival created for you as "Punk`s not dead" and is the driving force of life. It is a combination of music with the promotion of wild, natural and pure Jizera. Our kids fell in love with the festival. The view of pogo dancing children - priceless. You have to experience it, we will definitely be there.

In the winter, skis and sleigh rides, cross-country skiing, mulled wine, snowmen and snowballs, and in the summer the Magic Jizera - a weekend tour of the Jizera corners, Perski Izerski in the Valley of Harmony, historical walks around the settlement Kopaniec, the agricultural market - Mountain Flavors in Siedlęcin, visiting castles and nights at fire.

We are friends with Sudetes Guides - founders of the Discover Silesia travel agency - and we can organize trips and field games for you (this involves an additional fee).

What's for children?

Children eat currants straight from the bush, spend most of their time in the garden, play football, and then, thirsty, run for compote. We have two kids who take over the duties of guides for small guests. They guide around the nooks of the orchard, reveal their ways of boredom, share patents for rainy... weather and willingly share puzzles or board games.

Toddlers love to chase our dog, peek at the guinea pig and pet the cat. In this order and vice versa.
Soon, the children will have a tree house, which will have a kitchen, bedroom, window to the world and will be full of luxury.

Miejsce z klimatem, tak najlepiej można określić osadę Ptaśnik. Rewelacyjna baza wypadowa żeby zwiedzić zamek Czocha i pobliski Świeradów. Wspaniali otwarci gospodarze.

Klimat miejsca to estetyczna uczta.

Ciekawi gospodarze i wspólne śniadania.

Niezwykle otwarci i pomocni ludzie. Zdecydowanie będę wracać do Ptaśnika!

Niesamowite miejsce i jeszcze bardziej niesamowici ludzie. Sam dom też zapiera dech w piersiach. Gospodarze zadbali o każdy detal: firanki, talerze, filiżanki, a nawet ściereczka do naczyń i toster tworzą spójną całość. I jedzenie... PYCHOTA! Naprawdę polecamy!!!
