Tatar hordes crossed the land on the Bug River, here the Swedish Deluge spread, from here, during the wars, the inhabitants risked their own lives to evacuate horses of the noblest blood, it was also here that Adam Naruszewicz - according to folk beliefs, developed theses for the Constitution of May 3 and here he predicted the fall and slavery of the Republic. Here is the oldest stud in Poland, so close to the hearts of hussars, uhlans and cavalrymen. People have seen and experienced a lot here. It is true that little remains of the multinational cultural mosaic, but the road to Janów Podlaski is frequented again, and the land regains its idyllic character.
And it is here, from the land of Roztocze Zachodnie, that the Zaborek Settlement, consisting of five wooden houses, grows. Hi, this is Natalia and Jan.
A few years ago, we decided to turn our dreams into reality. Instead of talking about how we wanted to live, we started taking action. This is how Osada Zaborek was born – a place we created with our own hands and hearts.
Over two years, we built eight unique cottages, surrounded by nature and the tranquility of the Podlasie countryside. Each was designed to harmoniously blend with the landscape and offer a respite from the hustle and bustle of the modern world.
We were inspired by simplicity, natural beauty, and respect for the place we live in. Minimalist architecture, natural materials, earthy tones, and subtle ethnic accents create a space filled with warmth, light, and harmony. This is luxury understood not as opulence, but as silence, space, privacy, and closeness to nature.
We believe that true relaxation begins when we slow down. When we sip our morning coffee on the terrace amidst the birdsong. When we gaze at the starry sky in the evening instead of at our phone screen. When we can simply be – without rushing, without responsibilities, close to each other and nature.
Since 2020, we have been welcoming people who come to us seeking peace, beautiful interiors, and authentic experiences. Many guests return regularly, and some have become more than just visitors to us – they have become part of the history of Osada Zaborek.
