Tatar hordes crossed the land on the Bug River, here the Swedish Deluge spread, from here, during the wars, the inhabitants risked their own lives to evacuate horses of the noblest blood, it was also here that Adam Naruszewicz - according to folk beliefs, developed theses for the Constitution of May 3 and here he predicted the fall and slavery of the Republic. Here is the oldest stud in Poland, so close to the hearts of hussars, uhlans and cavalrymen. People have seen and experienced a lot here. It is true that little remains of the multinational cultural mosaic, but the road to Janów Podlaski is frequented again, and the land regains its idyllic character.
And it is here, from the land of Roztocze Zachodnie, that the Zaborek Settlement, consisting of five wooden houses, grows. Fans of minimalist architecture, ethno accessories, history enthusiasts, amateurs of beautiful landscapes and wildlife will find their place here. We invite you all year round to save your health - both physical and mental.
We offer you rest in 8 year-round houses: Cuckoo, Lynx, Blackbird, Pancernik Owl, Steed, Parrot and Ławica. The houses are not the same - they differ in elevation, shape and area. Each has its own style and distinctive decor. We have both smaller houses (those we always offer to couples) and larger ones for groups of friends and families with children.
The houses are fully equipped, each has a kitchenette and a bathroom with a shower (in it you will find cosmetics and a hair dryer). In the cottages you can find a basic cleaning kit, but if you wish additional cleaning - let us know, we will come to your aid. We also took care of comfortable deckchairs and wicker armchairs on the terrace and a place for a bonfire, so that the evenings spent with us are also special.
As in the countryside - sometimes its smell can reach your nose (scattered manure on the surrounding fields), sometimes we can fall victim to blood-sucking mosquitoes.
Each house has a functional and fully equipped kitchenette, with a 2-burner ceramic hob, a microwave, a set of kettles, a fridge with a freezer, express overflows and a sink.
If you want to buy local products, every Friday at the nearby market in Janów Podlaski (in the morning) you can buy local products and vegetables. Mr. Mirek, in turn, offers goat cheeses.

The answer is simple: if you want to be bored, you can too. But the area has so much to offer that it would be a shame not to take advantage of it. Here you can organize kayaking, horse riding, bicycle trips along the Green Velo trail and a walk in the "Podlaski Przełom Bugu" Landscape Park. It is also worth hiking the Three Cultures Trail and following the Bug River Friendship Trail. It would be a crime not to visit the famous Arabian Horse Stud Farm in Janów Podlaski.
We also recommend that horse lovers visit the nearby "For Pleasure" Stable, which organizes regular dressage shows - it is worth a visit. Certainly the biggest celebration in our area is the Pride of Poland Arabian Horse Auction at the beginning of August. Janów Podlaski also hosts annual fairs, antiques fairs, a bicycle rally of "Bug Żańskie Dwór i Pensjonaty", a harvest festival and the Herb and Potato Festival organized by the Janów Municipal Office. You can also go for a juice tasting at "Sokarnia", located in a real Podlasie apple orchard.
What’s there for children?
There is a small playground in Osada, and a little further in the "Uroczysko Zaborek" guesthouse, kids can play on a larger playground. We know from experience that you can successfully take part in field games, walk along the trails and run in the meadows.
In high season, it is worth remembering your swimwear and using the outdoor swimming pool. In the event of a sudden boredom, you can go to the Alpacarium or the rope park.
