Almost Tuscany, just not those temperatures, almost Loire Valley, only castles are less impressive, almost Iceland, only volcanoes have long since died out. However, comparisons are unnecessary here, because Lower Silesia has no equal. It is here, in an almost 90-year-old red barn, that we opened an adult guesthouse. A natural sanatorium for the body and soul does not require a special referral. The treatment program is based on silence interspersed with singing birds, long walks in the wilderness and a bit of uncontrolled boredom.
We combine Lower Silesian products with flavours from around the world, we admire deer that nibble our roses from leaves and we look for cell range that is often lost in the meadow. In the morning, you will be woken up by the smell of freshly brewed coffee and homemade cottage cheese, one that puts Italian ricotta to shame. Mornings are crisp and foggy, sometimes frosty, or hot and steaming with dew. In winter, even Lilu's fluffiness is not very eager to go out and does not want to get off her knees. And in summer, while still wearing pajamas, you run barefoot on the grass.
We invite you to another dimension. One where there is time for tea by the fireplace, reading a book in one breath, lying under a pear or apple tree on any side of your choice and consciously choosing the best food. Do your best. We invite you for heavenly apples and heavenly peace.
Rajskie Jabłka is a truly Tuscan, but Lower Silesian pre-war red brick barn. After the metamorphosis, it is a charming house, the heart of which is an open kitchen and dining room with a large table. In addition to cozy guest rooms with extremely comfortable beds, you have at your disposal a spacious living room with a fireplace and a terrace with a view of the beautiful green hills, a pre-war mini orchard and a meadow covered with lush grass. In the living room, on the terrace and in the dining room you can stay day and night. The kitchen, although open, is private and it is Witek's kingdom.
This way upstairs, it's even nicer up there. The entire second level is the rooms at your disposal. There is also a small alcove with a sofa and a table.
We have 2 rooms and 2 apartments on the first floor, all without TV sets, but one with a terrace:
Apartment with a large window and a terrace
The largest room with the largest window in our barn. There used to be an entrance for hay wagons in this place. It overlooks our mini orchard and meadows where sometimes cows graze and sometimes roe deer roam. The room has a large, comfortable bed 180 cm x 200. The seating area is a sofa and coffee table, there is also a small fridge. The room has an open clothes rack with hangers and a low chest of drawers. The bathroom is bright, with a window and spacious.
Gray room
Cozy and calm with a dominant gray color. It has a double bed 160×200 cm, visible structural beams, wooden floor. Personal belongings can be unpacked into a chest of drawers with three drawers, of course gray, and then rest in a comfortable armchair.
Apartment with three windows
High, slanted ceilings, creaky floor made of old larch boards, visible beams. Like in grandma's attic. But grandma's bed wasn't so comfortable. In the seating area you will find a modern sofa, a coffee table and two original stump stools. After waking up, you have a view of the forested hills from here, of course through the three title windows.
A room with good energy
Korean chests of drawers with colorful genre scenes, a dark wall with a symbolic setting sun on it will charge you with good energy. Through the roof window you can admire the stars or close the blinds and fall into a deep sleep. The room has a double bed (can be changed into two single beds) and a comfortable wing chair.
Due to our cats, unfortunately we do not accept pets.
Our breakfast repertoire is mastered to perfection. In the kitchen, Witek rules against the background of red tiles - he knows what to combine with what to serve culinary delight. From dawn, he bustles around with pots and prepares delicious breakfasts for you, using only the best ingredients. We obtain fruit, vegetables, honey and dairy products from local farms, we make cold cuts, cheeses and preserves ourselves or with the help of local producers.
We serve breakfast at 9:00 am, eat at a shared table and take our time. There can be fluffy scrambled eggs in butter in different versions, with bacon, chives, or maybe mushrooms. From eggs it is also a classic omelette with cheese and ham, omelette with mushrooms, with herbs and even sweet. We love all kinds of homemade vegetable spreads and preserves. Good bread will defend itself and can be eaten sautéed. We usually bake it ourselves.
We usually cook for you on the weekends. And exactly what Witek will cook is a surprise. When making a reservation, report your will to eat dinner with us, and we will send you the menu about a week before your arrival.
It is not possible to prepare meals on your own or use the kitchen.
It was just for sweet boredom and unhurriedly doing nothing that we left the city. Now we can share with you green hills, books, fire from the fireplace, peace at the edge of the meadow and the silence that introduces you to a state of meditation. In autumn, we fish for mushrooms with a fishing rod straight from the terrace, on Sundays we have a nice slap in the company of chocolate cake with whipped cream, and during the rain we take naps. After all, any reason is good to turn a blind eye in your favorite armchair, as long as it is not occupied by the cat.
One does not live by lying belly up alone. It is true that we live in the countryside, but you can see palaces while walking. An hour of walking through the fields and you will find a palace in Nagórz.
Apart from the fact that we are situated in the middle of nowhere, we belong to the village of Pławna Górna, which is a beautiful village in the Izera Mountains. We have here:
- a trail of extinct volcanoes that you can climb (in Ostrzyca Proboszczowicka) and learn about their geological history,
- minerals that we can collect during walks (look for ribbon agates),
- mushrooms that we dry together by the fireplace,
- local artists and an interesting art gallery,
- Piast Castle,
- the real ark of Noah and the Trojan Horse,
- Museum of the Displaced.
Every Saturday in Jelenia Góra there is a "Agricultural Market Górskie Smaki". Between 10:00 and 13:00 you can taste and buy products from local real food producers. Stock up on shopping bags and further for bread, jams, vegetables, fruit, cakes, homemade kombucha, cheese, natural cosmetics, cold meats and meats, kimchi and other pickles, honey, vegetable pastes, groats and all other eco wonders of Lower Silesia.
What’s there for children?
Rajskie Jabłka was designed as a refuge for adult guests only. We respect peace and quiet, your privacy and celebration of free time. There are a lot of places better adapted to hosting little ones in the area. We are happy to advise you where to go with the kids for attractions.
