It would be easier for us to write what is not here, but then we would skip such wonders as a herd of horses strolling in the sunshine, a shiny lake, an ecological garden, happy dachshunds and green-legged hens that lay delicious breakfast eggs. Therefore, we will write to you so that we do not miss anything.
Siedlisko is located in the Warmian-Masurian village of Nawiady, where the rent was paid with honey, and the land was so saturated with Masurian stories that you can still hear their echoes today. He sleeps right by the lake, wakes up at the call of a rooster, walks and rests on over 20 hectares of fenced land, and goes to sleep with the horses. Well, maybe not literally.
It is healthy, beautiful and tasty. So drop everything that is bad - as Zbigniew Wodecki sang, and come to Siedlisko Nawiady. For fish, apples from the orchard, horseback riding and most importantly - recharge the batteries.
There are a total of 10 rooms in Siedlisko: 3 two-room apartments, 2 apartments with a shared living room with a kitchenette and 5 double rooms. We can accommodate 20 people (and in exceptional situations even another 16). Each room is equipped with a bathroom, TV, and the apartments also have a mini fridge, kettle and safe.
We will start presenting places to sleep and rest from the Stork House. There are 3 spacious apartments: Stork, Swallow's Nest and Gray Heron (these birds often visit our habitat). Each apartment has a bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom and a living room with a sofa bed. From each apartment you have a view of horses grazing on the hills, the lake, the forest and the orchard. The apartments are equipped with TVs, fridge, wifi, safe and tea and coffee making facilities. In total, there is room for 6 people in the Stork House, but we can add an extra bed for another 6 people.
The 120-square-meter Apartment above the stable has two spacious rooms (Yellow and Blue) with separate bathrooms and balconies and a 60-square-meter atmospheric living room with a kitchenette and a fireplace (to be shared between 2 rooms), which will wrap you in its warmth after a long walk or horse riding. The apartment is equipped with a TV, minibar, safe, fridge, washing machine and dishwasher. The window of one of the bedrooms offers a view of the lake, and from the other there is a view of the stork's nest. The apartment can accommodate 4 people, but we can also provide comfortable places for children on extra beds.
Dom za Świerkami consists of 5 double rooms - each equipped with a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. View from the windows of the orchard, garden and green meadows. In total, the house can accommodate 10 people. If necessary, we can fit 7 more on extra beds.
Everyone in Siedlisko can be woken up by a rooster crowing in the morning - and there's nothing we can do about it - we don't know where the batteries are removed from it. Sometimes the German shepherd guarding us will bark, and sometimes our dachshunds will make noise. There is a lot of wood in houses and it works and you may hear creaks and cracks - but this gives the habitat a homely feel.
Despite our great love for animals, we do not host them in our apartments due to the equal comfort for all guests and the presence of our pets. Please make individual inquiries regarding this matter.
Our habitat is an ecological agritourism farm with a certificate. We cultivate our own vegetable garden and meals are prepared from its crops. There is also an orchard with apple trees and plums. In addition, we breed green-legged hens on a free range and fish in a fish pond. We try to choose the menu in terms of seasonally available ingredients. Our table, subject to availability, also hosts local products, and we make jams ourselves. We are flexible and we compose meals in such a way that both carnivorous guests and vegetarians will find something for themselves.
Every day we invite you for breakfast in the form of an open buffet and for dinners. During the day in our restaurant you can order dishes from a short menu, e.g. soup, spreads, homemade pizza or a seasonal fruit cocktail.
This year we serve dinners at fixed times and every day there is a different menu. We cook all meals fresh and up to date, so we ask for declarations at breakfast or no later than 10:00 every day.
For volunteers, we can light a bonfire or grill.
In Siedlisko we are strongly associated with horse riding, so you can learn to ride a horse, improve your technique or go on a horse trip. That is why we are closely watching all equestrian events and sports competitions - if you want, we will tell you about each of them.
Thanks to the nearby waters of Lake Nawiady and picturesque green areas, our Siedlisko is an ideal place both for sports and discovering routes - horse riding, cycling and walking. We are located in the buffer zone of the Masurian Landscape Park, and we are only 1 km away from the forest paths of the Piska Forest. The lake, 100 meters away from our Siedlisko, is an ideal option for those who love sunbathing, swimming and water sports. In turn, the gentle descent to the lake is an excellent choice for families with children. We have our own shoreline and 3 jetties separated from each other in such a way that everyone can feel comfortable while sunbathing and bathing.
For lovers of special body and soul care, we have prepared a series of carefully selected massages. We believe that this form of relaxation and the use of aromatic oils positively stimulate the senses and allow you to calm the mind and relax the whole body for a long time.
In winter, we invite both skiers who - in addition to cross-country skiing - can go to the ski slope in Mrągowo, 25 kilometers away, and skaters who can skate at the ice rink in Giżycko or Mikołajki.
What’s there for children?
One thing is certain - the youngest ones will not be bored with us. There is a playground for the little ones in the habitat, and there is a sandy beach by the lake with lots of toys and a gentle descent into the water.
We have 20 hectares for running, watching butterflies, ants and birds. We have prepared a bookcase with books for bad weather.
You can also rent bikes with child seats for the little ones. In the habitat, children can see our horses, ride a pony or drive the hens to the henhouse during the evening ceremony.
