At a time when vast lands and forests were travelled on horseback or by carriage, and national borders could be crossed unknowingly, newcomers from afar began arriving in Masovia. It would take a long time to find out what made them leave the distant Netherlands and come here. The important thing is that they were business people, so - as you can guess - they had their own business. In our Republic they were simply seen as Dutch, so they were called almost identically: Olêders. They prided themselves on their freedom and had something that many here envied. They knew a lot about land reclamation techniques. In fact, they had no choice - in their native lowland areas, mastery of the element of water was essential if agriculture was to function at all. They settled in various parts of present-day Poland, and many of them built houses and villages along the Vistula. They were supposed to come for a while, but somehow they stayed for longer. We are not at all surprised by this.
Our house was brought to life by the Olêders and you can see at first glance that it is a bit different from most Polish houses. That's why we noticed it when we were travelling the roads of Mazovia for the second time. And then Marcin decided: I'll ask. And he did, he bought the house, renovated it, cured it of the ills of old age and restored its charm. We lived there for a long time, we spent every summer in the countryside. We held our wedding and the baptism of our children here. Now we are ready to invite you to it.

We are not on-site, but you can always contact us
Globetrotters, organisers of expeditions and travel events. Although we have visited over 80 countries on six continents, we cannot imagine living anywhere else. We feel comfortable in many places, but we always miss the Vistula meadows, weeping willows and storks. We are happy to return to our hundred-year-old thatched house. Nowhere else do birds sing as they do here.
