Time to get out of the city for a little while. From the daily rush, responsibilities, a growing list of tasks, checking the air quality, morning jogging, shopping and working. If you are looking for a place with low population density, animal-like, with clean air and quiet all around, we have a dream house on the hillside, at the end of a gravel road, in the vicinity of a remote area. For everyone who needs an urban detox.
This is not a high mountain trip. You will find Siedlisko Zagórze in a cosy and seemingly modest land. Its peaks do not rise high towards the clouds, and the highest points barely exceed 600 metres above sea level. The Świętokrzyskie Mountains, because we are talking about them, are caves, ranges of hills with a slightly undulated ridgeline, wide valleys, thick volumes of legends about pagan beliefs and ruins of castles.
In the centre of it all, there’s a house with a view of the forest, a sauna in the house next to it, a pizza oven, uninterrupted peace, plenty of space to exert energy and a sky without any light interference.
We hope you find yourself in a secluded place. In the Zagórska republic, where deer and singing birds have made their home. We invite you to a place where you don't have to look for mushrooms, you just reach out for them. Come to our wilderness.
In a beautiful location off the beaten track and on a slope. Peace and quiet around, nothing is happening. Only beautiful views, deer encountered during the morning mushroom picking and dozens of stars. After a day full of attractions that are abundant in the area, you can make yourself at home in a house for 6 people, sit down in the living room by the fireplace or in a relaxation house with a sauna.
The cottage is located in the forest, so a bird wake-up call on request should not surprise anyone. The equipment included binoculars to look for ornithological specimens. Inside, there are two bedrooms, including one on the mezzanine and sleeping places for 6 people. In one you will find a large double bed with a comfortable mattress and glazing overlooking the forest straight from the bed. On the mezzanine floor there are two single beds and a double bed. Tall people should be careful with their heads as the attic slants are quite low. The house has a bathroom with shower. In the bathroom, fresh towels, hair dryer and even mini cosmetics.
You can also make yourself at home in the large living room with a fireplace and TV, and lie on the terrace, on deckchairs by the pond and in the large garden. The fireplace has such a brilliant property that it distributes heat throughout the house. Just smoke once a day and it will be nice and cozy.
At your disposal is a fully equipped kitchen, where in addition to dishes, an oven or a hob, you will also find a coffee machine. Fishless evenings are spent in a shed with a barbecue and a pizza oven.
For an additional fee, we give you a part of the second building with a sauna and a recreation area with deckchairs, where you can hang out with a view of the forest.
Note that the access to the house from the end of the asphalt road is approx. 2 km of dirt road up the hill. Although it has never happened that someone has not reached us, in winter decent winter tires are necessary and we do not recommend driving in cars with low suspension. Normal passenger cars usually don't have any problems, and crossovers and suvs are perfect. The road is cleared of snow by us in case of heavy rainfall.
The cottage is located in a remote area, so it is customary for guests to bring in things from which they can cook something tasty. Such an arrangement that you eat what you want. At your disposal is a fully equipped kitchen tailored to the mastership and a shelter with a grill and a pizza oven. We know from experience that you will also bake delicious bread in it and spend a wonderful evening by the fire.
Unfortunately, we cannot recommend any proven eateries in the area, because there is only silence in the area.
You will find a shop where you can buy basic products in the nearest village, approx. 2 km from the cottage. One where you can pay by card (if you forget cash while driving to the countryside) you will find after traveling 17 km.
We may not have any restaurant facilities, but we have local products for a medal. In a nearby farm you can buy fresh eggs and the best honey in the world.
Stock up and make yourself at home in Siedlisko, open the wine and prepare the potatoes for the fire.
It's a bit about getting bored and a bit about spending time in an atmosphere of blissful relaxation. Bring books, board games, warm socks, skis, cross-country skis, sleds and bikes, kites and balls. We have plenty of space for all kinds of activities.
First, a hearty breakfast, pizza, sausages from the fire, and then the calorie counter can be reset to zero by walking around the surrounding nooks and crannies in the snow up to ankles or along the green slopes of the hill where Siedlisko is located. Behind the house, a hiking trail begins in the woods.
Not more than 17 km from the house, you can ski in the Niestachów, "Sabat Krajno" or Sabat Ski Lift Ski Center.
If you get tired of lying down, sleeping until noon, morning mushroom picking and night lying under the stars, we recommend that you check out the attractions in the area:

- Świętokrzyski National Park, including Gołoborze on Łysa Góra, i.e. an observation deck with a panorama of Chełmowa Góra,
- Palace in Kurozwęki and buffalo safari,
- the Dule gorge and Zbójecka Cave,
- ruins of the Szumsko Castle in Rembowo,
- Raj Cave,
- Slavic settlement at the Raj Cave,
- red trail to Łysica, leading behind the monastery in the village of Święta Katarzyna,
- the Chańcza Lagoon,
- the living open-air museum "Medieval Settlement" in Huta Szklana.
After a day full of attractions that are not lacking in the area, warm up in the sauna and relax in the recreation area with sun loungers. You will find all this and a terrace with a hot tub in a separate house. You can spend your evenings by the fireplace or in a grill hut with a grill and a pizza oven.
What’s there for children?
Boredom has been with us for centuries, it has crept into our homes and taken over entire families, including children. Electronics did not help, nor piles of toys. Nature came to the rescue. Here, on a mountain slope, surrounded by a forest, the phenomenon of stagnation does not occur. First-level encounter with nature, standing face to face with a deer, soaking your feet in a pond, trips to the forest for branches, and in the winter, a sledge in the yard from morning to evening.
For little guests, we have a slide, sandboxes, the possibility of sleeping on the mezzanine and unlimited running spaces. The nearest buildings are a few hundred meters away, and the closest one is about 2 km away. Odudzie as it looks.
