Location Polska, Beskid Śląski, Szczyrk
Welcome to Skiturowa Chata (560 m), where you can enjoy a panoramic view of peak Skrzyczne. We invite all active holiday lovers and mountain sports enthusiasts, who can't imagine their vacation without a hiking trip, bike ride, or a ski touring ascent. The picturesque mountain village of Szczyrk is home to one of the oldest and biggest ski resorts in Poland (40 km of ski runs) as well as a newly built, state of the art mountain bike park. The highest local peak, Skrzyczne, is a safe playground for beginner and intermediate ski tourers. The terrain surrounding Szczyrk is perfect for electric mountain bike trips, that feature visits to mountain shelters and tens of kilometers of wonderful bike paths. Make the most of your stay and join me for a guided trip during your stay. I will be thrilled to share with you my expertise and introduce you to the world of e-bikes and ski touring. I speak English fluently so don't worry about language barriers. It's also possible to rent the entire chalet during the week (from Sunday evening until Friday morning) on standard terms. If you wish to simply relax on the terrace overlooking the valley, sunbathe in the garden or get cozy near a campfire next to our mountain creek, that's also great! Just keep in mind that come the weekend - we 're off to the mountains to explore. On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sunday's beginner e-bike and ski touring trips and courses are usually scheduled. Please contact me prior to making your booking so I can give you an update on the events that are scheduled. If you wish to individually customize your stay at Skiturowa Chata and combine pure relaxation with outdoor activities, also make sure to get in touch. Remember that, during some weekends no events are held. Therefore, be sure to contact me to find out if the house is open for guests during weekends. We try to stay flexible!

I wasn’t born with skis attached to my feet, but I skied since I was four. Today, as a skiing instructor, bike guide and founder of ski and bike tour agency Sports Travel, I make sure our guests make the most of their time in the Beskids. Numerous professional instructor courses and years of terrain exploration allowed me to teach you the necessary skills and guide you safely to the most beautiful places. Thanks to my medical education, I appreciate the positive effect physical activity has on our health. I invite you to the Silesian Beskids. Here, you will learn new skills, reach mountain tops, and relax with your family and friends. See you at Skiturowa Chata! Tomek

Our kitchen is at your disposal. We do not provide meals during ski-touring and e-bike courses or during regular stays. During guided trips, we usually eat meals in mountain shelters or in one of the restaurants in Szczyrk. Some of the restaurants in Szczyrk I could recommend are Bar Kaprys, Freeride Bar, and Restauracja Destylarnia. They are all within a 5-15 minute walking distance from Skiturowa Chata. To try some serious regional cuisine visit Gazdówka. It's located on top of the Salmopol mountain pass. It's a 15-minute drive from Skiturowa Chata but it's worth the effort. Don't forget to chat with the owner Sandro.

Whether you’re super fit and passionate about your workouts or prefer to spend your time on the chalet terrace reading a book and sipping lattes – e-bike and ski touring trips are worth considering. They give an opportunity to explore the wonderful surroundings and learn new skills along the way. If you prefer to organize your time by yourself, there are plenty of activities you can indulge in around Szczyrk. Here’s a list of some of them: -Go hiking. Skrzyczne (1257 m) and Klimczok (1117) are two peaks easily accessible from Szczyrk. There’s a shelter serving local dishes and beverages on top of each of them. It takes about 2-3 hours to reach the top from the valley. -Go skiing. 40 kilometers of ski runs, slopes for beginners and advanced skiers. Modern ski lifts, beautiful views, and local cuisine. In this part of Europe, the skiing season opens in late December and ends at the beginning of March. -Explore the mountains on an e-bike. There’s plenty of bike rental shops where you can rent great quality electric mountain bikes in Szczyrk. I’ll be happy to share with you some of my favorite bike routes as well. -Get your adrenaline pumping at Szczyrk Enduro Trails. A newly built network of MTB single tracks, biker friendly lifts, and an alpine-style restaurant “Kuflonka” located at 1000 m above sea level is all you need to spend a fun day on your mountain bike. Oh, did I mention the state of the art bike park is signed by Trek Bikes? Trek keeps a large stable of serious rental enduro bikes in the bike park so don’t worry about losing out on any of the fun. -Go ski touring. The Beskids are a perfect place to start your adventure with backcountry skiing. In comparison to the polish Tatras, which are higher and more dangerous (mostly due to the risk of avalanches), the Beskids offer a safe environment to get to know the sport. -Visit the old town square in Bielsko-Biała. Take the car. It's only 20 minutes away from Szczyrk. I recommend going there on a warm summer evening. The place has a good vibe. Locals gather at the square to enjoy the café lifestyle. When you get there, don't forget to try the famous hand made ice cream. -Visit nearby mountain villages Wisła, Brenna, and Istebna to get to know the area a bit better. They're only half an hour's drive from Szczyrk and attract tourists from all over Poland in winter and summer.

Mega klimatyczne miejsce, z przepieknym widokiem. Sympatyczni i pomocni wlasciciele. Blisko i do cywilizacji i do natury.
