Nestled in the eastern border of Poland, between the Lublin Upland and Podolia, there is a place with picturesque Roztocze fields and fragrant forests. Here, in the Solska Primeval Forest, next to the nature reserve on the Tanew river, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, stands a house with a yellow refrigerator, sauna and "Pine Terrace". Do not bring your watches, because time passes slower here, breakfasts are eaten late and we talk until dawn when all the stars are gone. It is impossible to leave the surrounding forests without a basket full of mushrooms and a mouth black with berries. Deer, elk and wolves have their home here, and eagles, black storks, cranes, small wagtails and travellers fly over their heads. In the summer, you can organize a canoeing trip or a bicycle trip, visit local vineyards, see a waterfall on the Jeleń River, or visit Zamość Old Town. In the winter, it is worth ice skating, cross-country skiing or going for a sleigh ride. But most of all, however, it is worth waking up here slowly, wrapping yourself in the sheets and starting the day with a smile.

Here Slowhop will describe your place

Katarzyna
I have known the place where the Pine Terrace is located, and which has now been joined by Woz Działy. Only good memories are associated with it. My parents owned a plot next to it and we used to come here every weekend for a walk and a bonfire with friends and family. After the bonfire, dad often took us to the Gargamel Store near the Szumy nad Tawia reserve and we always got Bambino ice cream or Bajka bars. The store is still operating, although we will no longer get Bambino ice cream. During my studies, my parents asked me to design a house for friends, which would stand on a plot known from my childhood. The family withdrew from the construction, and I, driven by childhood memories, immediately bought a plot. And so, after 5 years of designing, changing my mind, titanic work done by my dad, local carpenters and carpenters and our friends, I have my Pine Terrace. I equipped the house with everything that is necessary for me during my rest. After a morning run, I love to take a shower, go to the sauna and then take my time drinking freshly brewed coffee on the terrace. A day like this can't go wrong. In turn, Woz Działy was created under the influence of travel and accommodation in an English shepherd's hut. There were no comforts or a bathroom, but there is a bathroom and a kitchen waiting for you in my car. And also mornings and evenings with a view of the forest. On a daily basis, I deal with the coordination of construction projects and their impact on the natural environment and I am a bit crazy about the environment, its protection and ecological construction.

The house has three double bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. In one of the bedrooms, it is possible to separate the bed into two single beds. There is also an additional bathroom in the house - the fourth bathroom, which will reduce the morning shower queues. On the ground floor, there is a kitchen with a living room, a Blue Bedroom with a bathroom and an exit to the terrace. On the first floor, there are two bedrooms with bathrooms: Pink and Green. We have mosquitoes, which is why we have equipped each bedroom with mosquito nets. In the basement, there is a sauna, a laundry room with a washer-dryer and a mini-gym that will allow you to eat extra portions of food without remorse. Checkered armchairs, dark green walls and a fireplace make the living room cosy even on the darkest days. From the living room, you can go out to a spacious terrace with a barbecue and eat baked delicacies until late at night. We also have a place for a bonfire that encourages guests to talk until the crack of dawn.

What will I eat?

The kitchen is fully equipped. It has a stylish yellow fridge (we recommend you do your shopping on your way to us), a dishwasher, a pressure coffee machine and all the necessary appliances. Here you will find everything to prepare meals, desserts and snacks for the whole group. If you want to stock up on local delicacies, you can get our favourite sausage from Zbigniew Wolańczyk and traditional cold cuts in Narol on ul. Zielona 8. For delicious lemonade, go to Ruda Różaniecka at Cztery Stawy Kuchnia Natura Relaks, coffee tastes special at Cafe Vero in Zamość (ul. Hrubieszowska 9). And on Fridays in Susiec (Zielona Street) you can do your shopping at the market. We recommend eating at the Dębowy Dwór restaurant in Ruda Różaniecka. There is also a swimming area with pedal boats and a playground. If you are going to Tomaszów Lubelski, take a break for a meal in Z Pieca i Gara (ul. Lwowska 133a).

First of all, we have a large terrace with a grill and atmospheric lighting, where wine tastes like nowhere else, there is also a fireplace and a four-person sauna. Sometimes that's all it takes to slow down and enjoy your escape from the city. Speaking of wine, Roztocze has its own small (even pre-war) vineyards, so it is worth trying the local grape varieties. If you want to move, in summer it is worth going on a kayaking trip on the Paary-Rebizanty section because you can see a beautiful landscape of fallen trees, beaver dams, forests, tobacco fields and meadows. An interesting solution for exploring the area is bicycle trips and hiking trails. One of the most famous sections of the Szumów trail is the route from the car park in Rebizanty along the river to the clearing next to the shop aptly named "Gargamel". During the walk, you can admire the main attraction of the region - rock steps on the Tanew River creating picturesque cascades. They call them "noise" or "chirp" because of the sound of falling water. In Roztocze there is a strip of Soviet fortifications (the Molotov Bunkers Line) along the former demarcation line with the Third Reich. Most of the bunkers can be entered, but you must have the appropriate equipment and knowledge. To see some of them, we recommend hiking to the highest peak in the area: Wielki Dział. Beer lovers will be interested in the building of the Brewery in Zwierzyniec, founded by Stanisław Kostka Zamoyski at the beginning of the 19th century. In the beginning, English porter-type beer was brewed in the buildings. Currently, Zwierzyniec beer is brewed in the brewery, which can also be tasted in the bar located on the premises of the plant. In Zwierzyniec, there is also an ideal place for swimming and walking - Echo Ponds located among forests. There is a wooden footbridge around them, and a sandy beach by the shore. Right next to the Ukrainian border, in Radruż, there is the most beautiful church complex in Poland from 1583 (on the UNESCO list) - the wooden church of St. Paraskeva. Bełżec, Tomaszów Lubelski, Krasnobród and Górecko Kościelne should also be on your list! Even if you've never tried cross-country skiing, you definitely should come to our area. Tomaszów Lubelski is the capital of cross-country skiing in the Lubelskie Voivodeship, and cross-country skiing is one of the most intuitive sports disciplines, so even the most reluctant ones should be able to cope. And here is our small calendar of events worth participating in: - January: ultra marathon for winter mites, - May: Susiecki Fair, Zamojska Majówka, Ultra Roztocze and the Storm of the Zamość Fortress, - June: Hetman's Fair, Zamość Culture Festival, Zamość Theater Summer and Jazz in the Borderlands, - July: Eurofolk Zamość, Galician Fair, Folkowisko, Gorajec Borderland Culture Festival, - August: Cieszanów Rock Festival, Summer Film Academy Zwierzyniec, Zamość Film Festival, Festival of Ecological Culture, Tomaszów Lubelski Ordynacki Fair, - September: International Meetings of Jazz Singers.

What’s there for children?

Go to photo editor Photo edit

The kids spend their time with us running along the forest paths, the garden and the surrounding area. They walk by the river next to the house, watch anthills, or go to the Dębowy Dwór playground. It's worth taking children's bikes, balls and favourite toys. In 1942, Koniki Polskie were spotted at the Echo ponds in Zwierzyniec. It was then that their reserve farm "Ostoja" was established. About 2 km from Zwierzyniec there is an observation tower from which you can watch them. In winter, it is worth taking your skates with you and visiting the beautiful ice rink in Zamość (and drinking hot chocolate in the Old Town) or go for a sleigh ride combined with a fire and going down the hill on hay bags - we will tell you who to ask about the organization. For bad weather, we have books and a few games for kids. In addition, the house has a cot, seat, table and two chairs.

Wspaniałe miejsce, do którego lubimy wracać. Dom ma wszystko, a sprzęt do ćwiczeń i sauna to wspaniale dopełnienie. Okolica bardzo spokojna i niezwykle urokliwa. Polecam wszystkim, którzy cenią sobie spokój i bliskość natury.
